I never been in this kind of situation since i have full control to my self which i know when to stop and go to work or school im a working student since i leave my work for good for bitcoin and to focus on this i manage my time the real people who wants to earn money is need to have time management for you to know where and when to stop because some important things need to be happen or to do

My work lets me to mix work and gambling from time to time. I work at night every three days and I am kinda alone for 12 h in my little office, so I just bring my laptop every time and simply go on online gambling site and that's how I spend the biggest part of my night shift 
This is what technology brings to us, convenience. We can gamble anywhere even at work, personally I don't set time for this if I just have free time then I will gamble, we are living in a world of greed people so better to be more safe I mean stop gambling if you thing it ruin your time with your work or even your love ones.
I found myself so many times trying to figure out what will be the possible results of some games or remembering what went wrong in my previous games so that it made me loose in order to not repeat the same mistake twice , and this makes me distracted for many times during my days which makes me not being able to fully concentrate on what the professors are saying or explaining.
Definitely, most of this situation your time may lose from work or even in school due by gambling. Gambling is very time consuming that even a single game will take one hour and that one hour you didn't feel that it's an hour. Then in the next game you trying to correct your mistakes on the previous game which in the end you will still lose. You can easily count the number of times you win but in losing I don't think if you could count the number of times you lose because in losing have a huge percentage unlike when you are lucky enough to win every game.
If we know that gambling is played for a long time, then you should be able to manage time to gamble. you will not lose time working or even school for gambling if you can manage time. You have to gamble on Sundays, or holidays where you do not have to worry about work or school.
it is not good if we played gambling while we are work or school because it will disturb our time. if we can have a free day then maybe we can use the time for playing gambling. we are not just losing time from work or school but we can lose our money too because our mind will think about our work or school so we are not focused on the game.

Honestly I have never been late from work or school ever even if its due to gambling or not because before I only gamble after work, and that is every after work then I got to a point of realization that it was not healthy for me because I sometimes forget to eat or even drink water and would gamble almost the whole night and didn't get much sleep. Though I was never late, my work became sloppy and I become irritated.
You must be lucky to have such realization by yourself with the experience that you had due to gambling. I am also into gambling, but not to the point of addiction since I have someone who always reminds me to have that limitation on it. I don't consider gambling as a bad habit as long as nothing in what you do will be jeopardized from it and I am hoping that mote people come to have that eye opening like yours especially those who'd like to quite work or even school because of addiction on it.

For me, I have not been in a situation that I have been losing time from work or school due to gambling that's because I really don't gamble that much and I only gamble in real casinos and most of the time I only gamble in my free time or if there is an event that our family goes to casino to eat and then play just for fun and relaxation. I really do now know anyone who gambles like that but I do know someone who was addicted to gambling before but she actually banned herself from the casino so that she will not get addicted again. I know there are some cases that people do actually lose time from gambling and that is when they are really addicted and can't stop from gambling.
Good for you, but in my opinion, those "events" could still affect you. You may have something to do on that time but just because there is a gambling even that is going to happen(whatever it is). Who knows, that might be more important but since it is an "event" you can't refuse.

When I was still in college, I was so active in such activities up until our last days in school. Upon experiencing a win on my first visit in a casino, I became more thrilled and excited about gambling than in my hobbies. Though I tried to regain my stand over my addiction to Gambling by engaging again to my hobbies, but it was hard since every time I play ball or hike or listen to music, Gambling is always entering in my head.
What is happening with you is that you are killing your passion within yourself and replacing it with something which will not help you anyhow which is gambling. While the sport that you actually like will have may advantages like being healthy, enjoying nature, with hiking and playing basketball it will act as an exercise as well etc. Get this back and you will add more joy to your life.

I think it is, lucky you are not pushed down to addiction and you are able to control yourself after that incidents. Setting gambling as priority over important matter is really a sign of addiction, you can be hook on something but you will never put it above a more important stuff, that is normal. What is not normal is getting hooked and making it our priority which in result will give us problem in the future. I have never made gambling as my 1st priority since I use it just to releive myself of stress from daily work and tasks and I make sure of that.

Never. A man must know his priorities. This is exactly the behaviour that will slowly ruin your life. Late from work,school then loans to try recover your losses, job lost then family separation.. As I always say, gambling should be only made in your free time and only for fun unless you're a professional poker player or sports bettor. lol
Yes I did it when I was on college, I played online tournament poker till 3am and it made me woke up too late for an exam. Unluckily I got the chance to do the exam on other day and another lucky thing was that I won 2nd place on the tournament with a decent prize. 
Same here. But I was playing with my friend's place and stayed in there for a long time. I did not notice what time it was. Then my mom called me telling me it was late. I went back home and remembered that I had an exam tomorrow. I ate dinner and then revised for my exam.It was an exhausting night. If I knew I had an exam, I would not have played with my friend. I would just spend the day preparing for the exam. Fortunately, I had a good mark.
