Yes very helpful post.we have to wait for getting New change or new chance.becuse now trends is bear market.I think bear market is not good for sale.so we have to wait.

Looking at the price today, I am pretty glad that I sold most of the coins in my portfolio while on the others, I took the capital and let the profits sit there in the exchange spot. Had I not sold majority of my coins, I would've lost a lot. And right now, the only thing I am doing is watching for some significant news or price movents on big exchanges. Only when I get positive news and movements of price will I start rebuying my favorite coins again. I may even choose not to buy some of the coins I had in my portfolio last time anymore depending on their performance.

Most people experience the same, the value of the assets drop so much more than 50% maybe. As what I am also facing right now. But, what's for selling off these coins right now? Selling them right now only means we are losing our money at all. I am still holding and prefer to hold them at least until the basic funds are back and try another trading again to get profits. Never panic sell when the market dips and when you are not using CL at the right time, you may be better to hold them.

I didn't do any of your guess. I took the opportunity to take the current dip. Unfortunately, I didn't make the highest profit after the Cartesi trade. Although this isn't a good decision because next time I could lose all of my Cartesi with a low profit. When you realize that your holding altcoins have already pumped unexpected limits, then you can sell them. I won't trade with my holding altcoins.

Well, for the purpose of the OPs personal enjoyment of taking note of other peoples unfortunate decisions in life, I will not answer this question. But rather ponder upon the answers of those who went before me. I mean as a day trader I base my decisions on what profits I can make for today, and that is already different from say, the investor standpoint who wants to earn so much but sold his asset with a loss after a crash. So for traders, a little loss is ok. Because we can be sure that we can strategize again to get profit from our trades the following day.

Definitely, it was a feeling when you still don't trust the market and the coin that you are invested in. But I respect them as they have the reason and just wanted to keep safe of their funds that is why I don't have the right to call them weak hands as not all noobs are like that. It finds to be normal, selling off is a common thing and anyone can do this. In fact, I did this very often when the market dumps and reinvests again. I think, this is an investment cycle, buy, hold, and sell.

There reasons should be
+ Fear, panic
+ Needs
+ News
+ Target -sell of when it goes lower than _ or above _
+ Period
And more.
Newbies or non newbies many sold of at this time, not only selling off some may never buy crypto-currency again, because the think it's pressure it exert on them is to much, I didn't even think of the market dropping, I only saw to buy more crypto-currency.

during current dip I didn't lose too much so I still decided to keep holding until the market stabilized, indeed sometimes this is something bad for beginners because most do panic sell, but believe if market will back soon

Indeed no one can guess when you can get big profits from what you already have. when the price collapses very deep and I sell it out of panic then it will only make me regret it even more the next day when the price has recovered and rose to be very expensive, so I prefer to wait for the price to rise and be patient.

Don't generalize people that everyone have same kind of minset.

They are probably:
1. Afraid of losing more money, because there is a thing called cut-loss so they wouldn't want to suffer for more loses by just holding the dipped coins.
2. They need a quick money, who knows they need quick money for their urgent needs when the price is dipped.
3. They have set up their goals. Maybe they are in profit?

I agree with you, panic sell will only make you lose your money, but if you hold and don't sell it when the price go down, then of course the money you invest can still grow when the price of coin that you invest increases very high, therefore it is better to hold and wait until the price increases again rather than you do a panic sell.

I will sell and pick them up below. I've done that in several downs that happened in 2018 and 2019.

Now there is no certainty in the cryptocurrency market, so it is not known in which direction the next movement will be. Accordingly, those who sold at a low price may have a good opportunity to buy coins at a lower price in the future. In the near future, we will see whose strategy in the market turned out to be correct.
