Honestly wanted to ask and to discovered the newbies among us. i though of creating a vote but it is not Necessary.  i really wanted to ask if there are members of this community that sold off during the last dip thinking that the market has crashed. alot of friends kept complaining that bitcoin and alts will go deep down and it will take months before coming back.

Really wanted to find out people that lost their grip and sold off. what really was your main reason for NOT holding...

Well for me i believe that market will be recover. So i never consider to sold my assets. For me, it is better for you to hold your assets because market will no go down more than nowadys.

This kind of situation has happened before and luckily, I learned from that already. I'm glad that I have sold my holdings during the bull run and I was able to buy and accumulate more again when the price strikes down. It's just a matter of perfect timing and setting a target goal would be a big help. Panic selling during the dip would only result in losses in the future.

if I were you, then I would stay HOLD and not sell during a decline, because you will lose your money, therefore I always recommend to investing using money that will not be used in the near future, so if the price of cryptocurrency that you invest is down, then you will not worry and can HOLD until the price increases again, so you can get profit again without having to panic sell (lose your money).
It's just a method that should be followed by everyone who wants to invest, because by using money that is not used for other things, it will always be free from the burden of thoughts when a price decline in the market occurs, only some people who dare will not care about this.

I sold most of the cryptocurrencies at the peak of the growth of the cryptocurrency market, but I also sold some cryptocurrencies when the correction of the cryptocurrency market began and it was not in vain that I did it, since many of these cryptocurrencies that I sold now have dropped very much in price, and the most important thing is that I got a good profit from the sale of various cryptocurrencies and now I am waiting for the right moment to reinvest in various cryptocurrencies.

I'm not a follower of the crowd and that's one of the reasons why I make decisions in life. I started making money with this market and have faith in it many years ago and with the current movements of the market I also understand the feeling of new entrants, and I find that what everyone the one who is always lacking is knowledge, and that knowledge will be exchanged with people's time or money.

Crowd very often panic and it increase the fall of the market. It is very important to continue to develop a project even inspite of the fall of the market. In such case all kinds of promotion is good such as https://twitter.com/CryptoArenaSDEX/status/1398027493190164482

It is very important to share the information in social networks with the users to have more trust.

There are a lot of reasons why a particular holder tends to sell off their bitcoin from the recent dip;

-sudden need of money
-panic emotions
-influenced by fuds
-buying other coins

And other has personal reasons about that. But when you are a long time crypto holder like me, there is no room for a panic emotions as I have experienced this kind of scene before and the best thing to di is to keep on holding until I reach again my goal profit.

It can also simply be a timing problem. If you don't expect the market to fail and you want to shift some of your crypto assets into another crypto asset, say Bitcoin to Cadano, and you do it and out of a sudden the market drops you are kind of stuck.

I think that nobody is completely emotionless. Neither when your wealth goes up or down unless you are billionaire. Then it doesn't matter if you have 7.5 bn USD or 5.8 bn USD. FUD shouldn't influence you, that is right. Unless it is a sneaky organized mass attack with media and crypto whales.

Of course not because I've been in this market for a long time, and I think the market is still bullish.
so I still hold the coins that I held before and will sell them all at the end of the year, because I have made a target when to sell and buy the coins that I plan to.
Yes, if the Bullish market continues then it is still very good to hold the good coins and buy some other coins when the price declines, because the double profits will always come when the market starts to move up in the year.

No, I managed to get take my profit before it happened. I noticed that the bearish market will still continue after a couple of immediately recover and now my analysis is correct. Now, I will wait until Sunday or Monday and see what is the status of the market if it’s a sign of recover or bullish trend and buy again. If I know that it’s not advisable to sell when the price goes down, I didn’t sell and just wait for the market to recover. I think it’s too late to sell if its too deep unless if the price goes deeper but we don’t now exactly what will going to happen next.

It is actually quite confusing on learning what's best to do in this kind of situation. There are many people who surely considered hodl instead of selling due to what they experienced before during the last bear market we experienced on 2018. They now have higher faith that no matter how long it will take, they will believe that the market will soon recover again. On the other hand, some people just doesn't have enough faith on crypto that's why they sell off and other circumstances might have pushed them to do so.

The last bear market way back 2018 taught me the biggest lesson and that is to learn to hold a token let's say even the 50% of your token left and not selling out of what you have. It taught me trust the crypto especially bitcoin and to have a patience to hodl though holding at that time really needs to have a long patience coz the market started to recover in the earlier or middle of the year 2020. But at some point we have also some personal reasons why we think that selling off your token was the best thing to do in a sudden current dip. We also have our own needs, our own level of necessities in life that needs to meet.

I kept holding but I do not know how many people are going to actually admit that they sold their coins, after all this is a bitcoin forum in which one of the favorite strategies is to hold no matter what, why risk facing criticism by selling when you could just say nothing?

Also the reason why anyone sold their coins are obvious, people got scared about what was happening and they decided to sell their coins and recover some of the capital they had not understanding that even if they bought at the ATH bitcoin will eventually recover and they could turn a profit during the next months and at worst during the next years.
Not only that, some have intentionally sell their coins because they needed fiat this time. And others are also selling their coins because they think they have made profits already. And that's the essence of investing, use your profits and buy another back those potential coins with their affordable prices.

But for those early adopters of crypto, selling in dip is not advisable. If you understand how the market moves and because you know this thing happens again and again and the market will turn green after this, then you'll consider that holding will be the best thing to do in times of dip.

The last month of the cryptocurrency crash wasn't manipulated by Elon Musk. Only USDT was the safe place from these market bleeding. After so many candle marketcap needed a good correction, but I didn't realize that dip. Altcoins price fell up to 3-4 times, when Bitcoin only 35 to 45 percent. There was a good opportunity only for traders.

Why people panic when market go down? Do they not know that there is always dump month after a pump month so I think market will soon recover and stable. I am Strong holder. I am 35% in loss. But have not sold a penny in loss.

I actually sold some of my ETH at last ATH at around $4.4k.
Pretty good move on my behalf, if i do say so myself, as i basically bought back at around $2k and doubled my ETH portfolio

I certainly did not panic sell, I’m long past falling for that now. You have to think like a winner to be a winner. Buy low & sell high, don’t trade with your emotions, it’s the perfect recipe for disaster.

What a beginner‘s question. Just panic sell 😂. Not a financial advice.
Sadly, many had panicked sold and that's why it is important not to ruin your emotions when you're investing to cryptocurrencies. You don't fall when the market falls.
You must be stronger than the market because you'll literally incur losses if you cannot manage it. I think most of us did experienced panic selling due to lack of experience.

~snip~ On the other hand, some people just doesn't have enough faith on crypto that's why they sell off and other circumstances might have pushed them to do so.
Most of the new investors lost their faith because of the manipulation. A group created FUD and many people sold their coins by being panicked. Some people also sold their crypto to buy again at lower price. But I believe, most of the old crypto holder still holding their coins. I haven't sold anything from my holding wallet. Though I have bought and sold crypto from my secondary wallet. The amount is small and I did it for my necessity, not for the price change.

Nope!
I added to my bags of ADA, ALGO, VET and added a new token to my portfolio; FLUR.
FLUR is similar to Safemoon. FLUR is a community-driven, fairly launched Defi Token. Three simple functions occur during each trade: Reflection, LP Acquisition, & Burn. 5% redistributed to holders and 5% to locked liquidity every transaction. This project is about two weeks old and reached a market cap of 4 million at its peak. Currently about 2M.
The owner behind is soon making a complete website re-design + Whitepaper + Road map.
The creator is: @ Flurbnb on twitter. He has over 200k followers across all his accounts.
He his a massive influencer in the giveaway space.
