I wonder what their daily withdrawal and deposit cap is. Surprised they got money transmitter licenses that fast. I thought it was a much longer process in the US.

YC

This is a big step forward for Bitcoin in the USA. Has anyone tried out this company? http://www.coindesk.com/trucoin-opens-mastercard-visa-bitcoin-buying/

They can only sell in a few states at the current time, very limited. They need a license in each state they want to service. Give it some time, it will grow...

Cryptsy is going threw the same things from what I gather, they have their FinCEN BSA in Florida, which is why I trade there, USD/BTC markets. Their I believe the 1st in the US to offer that trading pair on a market, not just a buying or selling service like coinbase.

I called them and no one picked up. Based on their screenshots, they have a $200 daily limit, which honestly isn't very exciting. I do agree its early so we will watch how it pans out.

Tried to run Digi3to1. The CPU miner link leads to a minerd based miner.
Started it with "minerd.exe -a myr-gr -o http://69.164.206.169:20001 -u groestl -p iWanttominesomedgbGroestl"
Seems to be hashing on all threads but not showing any 'Yah!!!' or 'Accepted'. Perhaps this miner doesn't?
Is there any way I can tell this is working?

I'll leave it for a few hours.

Tried to run qubit on a machine with no AMD or nVidia graphics card. Got "OpenCL.dll is missing" message.

Tried to run Digi3to1 ccminer on the same machine. It couldn't find nVidia drivers.

I think you need a miner and algorithm that is purely CPU based.

Problems getting CPU mining going to test DigiCPU (Qubit)

As luck would have it a second CPU arrived today for an upgrade I'm doing on one of our HP ProLiant DL360p servers.  Obviously after installing it I need a way to stress test it...

Firstly, I've noticed that both the GPU, and CPU miner links point to the same place (SGMiner).  I can't get this running on the server as it's Matrox G200 graphics card and doesn't have OpenCL.dll

I then went to the QubitCoin forum post and found their CPU miner link points to Minerd.  I've downloaded that and am using the following command line to launch it:

minerd.exe -a qubit -o stratum+tcp://69.164.206.169:4032 -u t74fXcaZRPsDs6YgRbfWddDSc1Bm6TitCA -p 123

This seems to initialize all the CPU cores, however it gives an error saying there's no reponse from the stratum server.

Has anyone managed to get the CPU mining working properly on a server OS without an AMD or nVidia graphics card?

What have the initial results been?

YC
We have now just now reached a full 24 hours and will be crunching some numbers and putting data points together.

Qubit and groestl seem to be causing a few problems as they have been sluggish/hard to mine. Mainly do to issues with the mining pool.

We have seen some impressive hash swings and we really people helping us out.

A pity I sold all my GPUs a couple of weeks ago Sad

Are there any public graphs about the running test? Hashrates, difficulties and blocktimes?

I just started with the scrypt test pool. Until now everything seems to be fine.

Here is the mining information you will need to help us test multi-algo DigiByte mining. Please feel free to ask questions & help us iron out all the issues before we roll out the multi-algo update (will be called version 3.0).

Mining Pool Address: http://69.164.206.169/
Mining Stats: http://69.164.206.169/tbs

Vardiff available on *32... other static diff port options available under "getting started" on the pool.

First 100 Scrypt Blocks simulate switchover at specific block, all algos start with low difficulty for testing!
Join us in DigiByte IRC if you have questions! http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#digibytecoin

Updated DigiShield in effect! Lets get 48 hours worth of data to make sure everything works great! Thank you for helping DigiByte go to the next level!

Mine to this address: t74fXcaZRPsDs6YgRbfWddDSc1Bm6TitCA

Mining Algorithm #1: DigiBitcoin (Sha256)
This is the original Bitcoin mining algorithm. We have chosen this algo as one of the 5 to tap into the market of used ASIC miners.

Test Pool Address: stratum+tcp://69.164.206.169:6032
.bat example: cgminer -o stratum+tcp://69.164.206.169:6032 -u t74fXcaZRPsDs6YgRbfWddDSc1Bm6TitCA -p 123
Miner Download: Any CGMiner / ASIC mining software

Mining Algorithm #2: DigiLitecoin (Scrypt)
This is the original DigiByte mining algorithm and can be mined just like before.

Test Pool Address: stratum+tcp://69.164.206.169:5032
.bat example: cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://69.164.206.169:5032 -u t74fXcaZRPsDs6YgRbfWddDSc1Bm6TitCA -p 123
Miner Download: Any CGMiner v2.7.2 or lower
Configuration Settings: https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison

Mining Algorithm #3: DigiGPU (Skein)
This is the most efficient GPU mining algo of all 5 and can be mined with a specialized cgminer download.

Test Pool Address: stratum+tcp://69.164.206.169:7032
.bat example: cgminer --skein -o stratum+tcp://69.164.206.169:7032 -u t74fXcaZRPsDs6YgRbfWddDSc1Bm6TitCA -p 123

Mining Algorithm #4: Digi3to1 (Myr-Groestl)
Groestl can be mined either by a CPU or a GPU in roughly a 3:1 performance ratio. Also, it is noted some people have used Nvidia graphics cards to mine this algo, although we have not tested this out yet.

Test Pool Address: http://69.164.206.169:20001
.bat example: sgminer.exe -k myriadcoin-groestl -o http://69.164.206.169:20001 -u groestl -p iWanttominesomedgbGroestl

Mining Algorithm #5: DigiCPU (Qubit)
Qubit can be mined by CPU or GPU but it is primarily a CPU mined algorithm. Please report your feedback or thoughts on Qubit and how it performs for you.

Test Pool Address: stratum+tcp://69.164.206.169:4032
.bat example: sgminer.exe -k qubitcoin -o stratum+tcp://69.164.206.169:4032 -u t74fXcaZRPsDs6YgRbfWddDSc1Bm6TitCA -p 123

Will this be merge mineable with myriad?

Fuck no
No, why would it be? DigiByte isn't going ot merge mining with any coin ATM. And i hope that it won't happen even in future.

Because it would increase the security of both networks, and potentially be more profitable for miners.

Not many understand the concept and good things that come with merged mining.

Give it time and I believe most people will change their opinion Smiley

edit: Check the post above mine, hehe.. just confirmed my suspicion.
It secures the network, but look at namecoin for example Wink

Look @ the coins that did that merge mining thing.. a good close look & all the statistical #'s. I'm glad DGB wont be merge mining.
Digibyte would probably fall into the other coin's shadow so it's a big no no for me.
