having problems with the update when trying to solo mine.

diff jumps to 938 then to 9 a couple of times then I got bsod
Which operating system are you mining on? Which miner are you using?

This is the first issue someone has had with the update. Several mining pools are running the update with no problems. We ourselves solo mined for about 12 hours testing the current configuration with various hash rates.

If you are getting the blue screen of death this sounds like a graphics card / mining configuration issue. Please post some more info and we can help you work through the issue.

sorry for the delay, had to go out.

Im running win 7 ultimate, cgminer 3.7.2, r9 290. I think it was me, i sorted it, ill let you know if it happens again but I dont think it will unless the diff drops

Mining pool operators, please make sure to PM us when you update to DigiByte v2.0 DigiShield so we can add you to the updated list!

Hi,
running updated p2pool, feel free to use it.
Of course 0 fees.

http://ca.p2pool.sk:9022

Used it till today for my miners till now.
Currently testing with gryncas' mpos pool (digiforce.cc) for next couple of days, to be able to comapre mpos to p2pool profitability.

Be sure to keep us updated on the comparison between mpos and P2Pool profitability!

For last 2 weeks I was using my p2pool, and had like 115-120% efficiency. Now its down, as after each restart of p2pool you have to wait some time till the data gets generated.

The plan is to have my 25-28MHs running on the mpos for 72 hours, and then switch back to p2pool (as I like the p2pool idea, and want to support the decentralized structure of crypto coins).
And then, after next 72 hours, compare the two. Smiley
Lets see...

I also like the idea of decentralization, which is the main point of cryptocoins, i mined on several p2pools and hosted a node of my own also in past. I am looking forward for your results, hopefully digiforce will hold up to the challenge ( although 120% is a tough goal ) ;]
Another thing is from what i learned from p2pools that you must have some minimal hashrate for mining to be profitable and this changes with difficulty. So for high diff coins p2pool is not really an option for most low miners. Also you must have stable low-ping connection to the node, which can also be problem sometimes.
And final note, decentralization is great for 99% of times and we all love it, but when the cause is just there are situations when you need to gather hashrate under single banner, which for example we need right now, when we are updating the wallet and adding features.
But in the end diversity is always for the good, so we need pools of all sorts ;]

I was thinking what if, temporarily, for a few days or so - take out "A Professional Cryptocurrency" from the title and put something like...

★★ DigiByte ★★ [DGB] New Anti-Multipool Implementation ✈ DigiShield v2.0 Update ✔

★★ DigiByte ★★ [DGB] Superior Anti-Multipool Technology ✈ DigiShield v2.0 Update ✔

etc, something along those lines. I really think pushing the fact that DigiByte currently has the most advanced implementation of anti-multipool code is relevant to a lot of coin prospectors/miners. The first thing people ask about a new coin is what is different? What is new? We have something new and better. Make it known!

Also, maybe take some of the writeup about the testing of KGW and EarthCoin that you did, put that in a little snippit in the OP explaining what DigiShield is. Or maybe just have a link in the OP to the post, or a reddit posting about it, etc. Something like that.

Just some ideas. Smiley
Actually this could atract few users i think.

Cryptsy is really starting to piss me off that they haven't added this coin yet.

I think, it will be once the pre-mine has exhausted.. In good time

This would make sense. Less reputable devs might use premine to walk away with a small fortune & with all the altcoins nowadays who has the time to go through each one & keep an eye on them.
On the other hand, who knows what Cryptsy are thinking really...I'd have expected Digi to be listed by now as well.

must I delete my first wallet for that I download the second?

Are you using the windows wallet?  If so then no.  Just back up your wallet data first & then replace the files as mentioned:

Hey everyone,

This thread is important for exposure, but for detailed discussions don't forget we have the Digibyte Forum over at http://digibytetalk.com/index.php
Here we only have one thread, which makes it hard to follow several lines of discussion at a time, but at the forum we can break it up & keep discussions more manageable. It's a whole forum!

Just a thought.

Also, Devs: You might like to replicate the DigiShield post over there as well  Cheesy

DGB is atm the most profitable coin to mine according to coinwarz! This must draw some attention!
Not for me it isn't, with a 5.6Mh/s rig it is showing profit at around $17.00 a day, other coins that give double that on the list.
It was, it just changes constantly. Now LEAF is top, and when you check it, it probably is another coin already.
That's why I use ACcMiner.
