"5x user friendliness" means that miners can choose which algorithm to use. For example if one pays a lot for electricity, they can go with one of the low footprint algos. If one has a GPU but no ASIC they can choose Skein, etc.

It means that whatever ressource you have, you're still in the game, contrary to most other coins, where mining is dominated by one special niche of hardware
