It would be nice to buy it simply than a EUR->Paypal->Eur(sll)->SLL->BTC->DGB if you hold a visa. SEPA virement can take a week in my country Sad
you can buy DGB directly here : https://www.litebit.eu/coin/dgb/en/
via Paypal, SEPA and others methods (not visa).
You can also buy some BTC there and place orders @poloniex for more fun Wink

DigiByte? Yes!
I need some technical advice regarding the hardfork.

Currently I have stored my DGBs on an USB device - the wallet.dat file is stored there. The wallet that I have installed on my computer is empty. Is it necessary to transfer my DGBs from the stick into my wallet, install the latest wallet and then I can store the DGBs on an USB device again?

Or is that not necessary and whenever in the future I want to use my DGBs again I just install the latest DGB wallet and copy the wallet.dat file into the wallet folder?

My fear is that the DGBs stored on my USB device are lost after the hardfork....

The wallet.dat file is really nothing more than an address holder which holds your private key, it is not dependent upon a client version. You can continue to send DGB to the address(es) associated with your wallet.dat. You don't need to "update" it to a current client version.

If you ever want to access/spend the DGBs in that wallet you will need to use that wallet.dat file in a current version of the wallet client.

Hello DigiByte community,

I have bought a few DGB to join the train with you guys.
This coin looks very solid, it has got solid tech, smart business plan, talented dev team and an excellent community. Everything that's needed for a top 10 coin.
Let's see where this goes  Smiley

Welcome to the DigiByte community!

We have a lot of exciting things coming up and we are exited for the future. We just reached 2,100 players on DigiByte Gaming meaning we have received 1,000 + new users this past week!

Is there a page where we also can follow the signups?

Your only Amigo, in the World of Crypto
Surely this is mass manipulation were seeing on exchanges at the moment.

You mean price is artifically high now or artifically low?

Low, i understand that all alt prices take a hit when BTC pumps, but it seems strange that a coin as developed as this, with a big supportive community, a brilliant marketplace and actually better tech behind it has such a low marketcap and low support throughout the exchanges. It has to be manipulation..

First we feared overheating hardware, then we feared scam exchanges, then we feared profit switching pools, then we feared ASICs.
My next candidate to be feared from, is the extend use of trading bots. Today you can buy (in some cases rent) a trading bot service or software for a period of time, and in theory you can make profit without knowing anything, or very basic things about altcoins. It absolutely does not matter which coin is good, which is bad.
So in my opinion altcoin world is just living its current phase, where mining is less popular, and trading is getting more popular. I don't know where it evolves next, but DGB is simply the best.

How's everybody doing? it's been sometime since my last post.
To the new people who just got to know about DigiByte, Welcome to the DigiByte Scene  Grin!! And not a moment too late to get on board too! Cool
Looks like DigiSpeed is around the corner! Current Block is 1,424,357. 1,430,000 is it!

Regarding the price, everybody ought to know that when almost every altcoin got dumped when Bitcoin was rising up to $500 a month ago, DigiByte held its position well, above 100 SAT. It didn't got dumped like Ethereum (ETH even achieved a new All-Time-Low too at 137k SAT) along with several other altcoins in the Top 20 of CoinMarketCap. at the current Marketprice, 45-55 SAT is your 2nd best price range to enter and not miss the DigiByte Ship. If you are aiming for 20-30 SAT, buy some now in case it never reaches there.

Never bet on chance. Always take every situation as an opportunity and make something out of it.

◈◈◈ Trading Tip ◈◈◈
Sometimes when you see a huge buy/sell order, it may not be real.
It's there to make other traders think there's support/resistance.
And when the market price nearly reaches it, it gets cancelled.

Hello all, just a quick warning to the DGB community to stay clear of CRYPTSY.....I believe that they are insolvent and have had some issues getting many different coins out. This is all just speculation but I am writing this based on my experiences. I was lucky and able to get my coins out (approx 1 BTC worth) but do yourself a favor and use Bittrex and Poloniex etc... I believe that DGB withdrawals still work there but don't chance it.......BTC and LTC withdrawals have been suspended for days now and it's not looking good.....

I've been with DGB community since March 2014 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=408268.8340
It's nice to see the progression and growth of DGB Smiley

Here's some insight as to what is happening over at Cryptsy for those that are not aware:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cryptsy-stopping-withdraw-locking-accounts-without-notifying-users-class-action-1173703

Thank you for sharing this. We have now seen several reports of people having issues with Cryptsy.

Surely this is mass manipulation were seeing on exchanges at the moment. Unless people know why the price is so low?

Whatever it may be we will continue working hard and pushing forward. The existing trading community is still very small. We just recently subscribed to CoinDesk's news letter. It was surprising to see only 26,067 people were subscribed to their newsletter.

Hi, I'm one of them, I didn't know the alt before this, but then I've seen that it has a lot to offer and I'm confident enough to buy some.
It would be nice to buy it simply than a EUR->Paypal->Eur(sll)->SLL->BTC->DGB if you hold a visa. SEPA virement can take a week in my country Sad

This is easier said than done. However we are exploring several options to allow easier DGB to fiat transactions.

Announcement:

The first ever book written solely for DigiByte is definitely going to be released on Saturday the 5th of December.  Watch out for it on Amazon Tongue

Thank you to Tyke for all the hard work over the last year on this! We look forward to reading it.

Oh right OK.

And do we earn interest on balance?

Nope, this is not a POS coin.  What you have is what you have, unless you want to game/mine/trade.
