Guys, either lower the price or come up with litecoin bitstream!

now that asic id like to see...

tbh I thought these boards reasonably priced compared to other fpga's on the market atm (although postage is expensive)...and i was v. tempted to buy a few....but not so close to asics coming, and id like to see ppl using them a bit first ... sorry

Surely someone will try to trade these in for Avalons.  Roll Eyes

Are there any distinguishing marks that identify them as clones?

Yes, it is written on the PCB that they are manufactured by us.

However, I do not think that Avalon would mind. They are purchasing back so they can sell the FPGA IC.

P.S: We'll buy them back too as soon as we release our own ASIC.

Can these be used for mining any other coins? Like Litecoin or PPC or anything other than Bitcoin?

is it really the same PCB as Lancelot?
yes, it is

is ngzhang's last firmware for Lancelot working on them? not just in theory, but if it was tested.
We tried the v42 firmware but apart from showing faster speeds it is producing less blocks. For this reason we ship them with the 200Mhz firmware

wasn't the PSU included in the 350$ yesterday?
Yes it was but after a chat with DHL it turned out that we need to pay more for DHL than we actually pay for the PSU. For this reason we've removed it. We did not lower the price as our manufacturing cost increased because our FPGA supplier ran out of IC and we had to buy the rest of the FPGAs from another company

is the "In stock" sign still valid or we will have to wait for the units few weeks?
You will need to wait until the week 6-10 May.

350$ a piece for 400mh/s? obviously you guys are all noob? Asic is already in the market and ngzhang dump this project for asic, my smart chinese friend Smiley

At the current running prices of ASICs, our boards are just as efficient.

66Mhash are sold on ebay for up to $50000
we sell 66Mhash for $40000

And this is because the FPGAs are very very expensive. We are doing our best to find cheaper FPGAs; if we do, we will lower the price.

Which update is the latest update? You will give a power supply for each lancelot or you need to order a power supply or every 4 lancelots?
Can it be connected to a standard PSU via molex, if one wants to forego buying a $20 power brick?

You now need to purchase the power supply separately.
This is a better option as it allows flexibility for the customer to use the ATX power adapter ( http://www.cardreaderfactory.com/shop/atx-to-lancelot-power-adapter.html ) or anything else you want.
The 12V 10A are heavy and DHL charges more for shipping than they actually worth.

$350 is a fair price considering the cost of the FPGA:s alone.

Agree

/dev/null
Note: We have updated the power supply policy in order to save on the shipping costs. All orders placed until now will receive 1 power supply for each lancelot, as promised.

Update: A 10 Amperes power supply can power 4 devices. As you do not need 1 power supply for each device, we no longer include 1 power supply for each device so we can save on the shipping costs.  Please order the power supply separately.

here is info: https://www.cardreaderfactory.com/shop/lancelot.html

Hardware installation:

1, connect the Power cable, use Molex-D-type connector or 5.5/2.5mm power plug. please do not use both of them.

so I hope, that standart PSU (molex) will work fine without any power bricks.

edit: link not working now, whole web seems down

What will the 10K resistors do for the device?

Lower the voltage, and they'll run slower.

Do these come with 10k resistors in positions R56 and R47 for 1.16V core voltage, or are they 9.1k resistors for 1.26V core voltage?

9.09k but if you want 10k we can do that for you.
