Bitcoin is still the best cryptocurrency for you to invest your money. The risk is far higher in my opinion if you invest your money in other cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is by far more established than any cryptocurrency and has stood the test of time.

Although everything that you have written here is correct, I would not agree that we have to invest in Bitcoin only. There are many great altcoins, which will bring you money in a year (maybe a bit later).

Devertification is always a good option when it comes to the cryptocurrency market, but if you want to split your investment in Bitcoin at different cost price it also a good option.

Usually they recommend you to diversify your investment, so you avoid losses.

But as a real approach, having $1.5k, would you invest in how many cryptocurrencies ?

What if I invest little by little, only in Bitcoin, would that work as well ?

Do you want to grow wealth or preserve wealth? Diversification is for preserving wealth.

And how to preserve wealth if not with smart investments. You can always buy gold and have nice stash of it, price can even rise a little, risk is low as it can be when you are buying a gold, but proportional to that gain can be very little or not at all, maybe you will have as much as you invested. With crypto you are holding much more on stake, risk is to hold you money in crypto that fluctuate, but with risks there is a greater profit. Diversifying is when you have your money in more than one thing, and everyone should diversify.

It's not called diversification investment. It's called reasonable financial allocation and this is quite effective for a stable development bitcoin. Now is the time when bitcoin is going down and you should not buy it anymore. hold and wait. That would be the best strategy now.

You cannot diversify in crypto because all crypto is related. Just like all oil companies and car companies are related.
If a fundamental problem happens like crypto is banned or cracked most crypto will suffer. Just like an oil crisis.

Look at the price of crypto. The top 10 usually move in the same trend.

If you really want to diversify you should diversify based on risk
- Bonds/gold/silver for low risk
- Stocks for medium risk
- Bitcoin (or crypto) / futures / etc. for high risk

etc.

Diversification in order and need to reduce the risks of investing associated with the placement of funds in one asset. In the crypto world, Bitcoin is indeed the safest investment compared to altcoins, but if an investor has a desire to diversify risks, then it is better to invest most of the money in Bitcoin and the rest in other cryptocurrencies or precious metals.

Diversification is a good investment strategy. Investing in the top 10 cryptocurrencies is not a bad idea as they are coins that have been tested and in use.

Everyone has tried the coin and got good results in the future so you just need to believe it. But everyone has different thoughts about the crypto world.

All the billionaire also say one thing that do not put all eggs under one basket in the same way it is applicable to us as well that not invest everything in just one coin. Invest in various coins so that even if couple of them does not rise still you will be making money from the other coins which will rise in  future.

this is wise  suggestion for us.they already felt bad experience while put all their money into only one basket.diversify asset was best strategy to avoid lossing big money in market.

Too small as investment, I will buy bitcoin first and wait another day to buy altcoins when I have spare money. I don't expect fast profit in trading by this amount of investment so  I will just wait and keep work to obtain more money to buy more coin especially bitcoin. I will still diversify my investment to btc, bch, eth and in ICO.

Yes, diversification of investment is good. This way if one fails you still have others left. You can experiment, that is if you are open minded and is willing to risk. Anyway there is no investment that is not risky, only in intensity differs. Better invest in crypto and also in physical or material investment.

Diversified portfolio is a way to go. But sometimes people built such a complex portfolio that the end result isn't that profitable. With $1.5k, i would suggest to not go for more than 3-4 coins. Stay in top 10 only in this market scenario. Going for low cap coins or even ICO isn't that healthy in bear market. If you still wanna try low cap coins, look for the project utility.

Diversification of investments is one good strategy that the investors do. This strategy lessen the risk of loosing all of your money. However, dividing your investment will lessen the concentration of your coin in the investment, thus decreasing the profit you can possibly gain. This only means that there are advantages and disadvantages that we need to consider and weigh in for us to be able to invest in good hands. The analyzation of cryptocurrency situation is very important and depends upon the current standing of the cryptocurrency in a particular matter of time. But personally, a smart and wise move would be a calculated-risk taking, and that is investing in different coins like ETH, EOS, and Alt-coins. Hence, our assurance regarding the security of our coins will be in high probability.

No, I don't see it working well. It is best you invest the $1.5k on at least five different currencies. That is the true meaning of diversification.

always invest in better projects and promising projects that have some advantage, such as currencies that give you interest, or some monthly income or something like that, or that you receive dividends like Decred, ARK etc, to research at least 20 currencies and invest in better, good luck!

Work or not an investment depends on your analysis and strategy, you want to invest a lot at the same time or investment from little by little if you do not have knowledge on the investment then it is not work. $1.5k I think it's not enough if you invest only in bitcoin, in my opinion it actually makes your profits smaller because the value of bitcoin and bitcoin fluctuations is relatively slow from altcoin, but if you choose a small risk then bitcoin is the best thing.
Its not good to put all your money in one investment its better if you divided by two or three. But make sure you put it to those crypto that have potential or find coin to invest that can give tou good profit. So diversify investment is really good to do especially if you have choosen asset to invest. But if you have only one invest coin then its better to not put all your money to it, just enough amount only, so the risk is also lower.
