I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.

of course it has future depends how they work , alts project will be succesful if devs had good invention and innovation , detailed roadmap and real team such a exscudo etc , probably doing webinar is also make their project looks promising like polybius , there are plenty of alts that worth investing tho such a zcash , ripple , sia , antshares , digybite etc

Yes altcoin do have a future just like what bitcoin did when it was just starting and now reaching up its development which we can say its a success and now there are lots of altcoin in the market do longing for the same reasons on which do make innovation and there are lots of coins too that do have a feature which you cant see on bitcoin and there are still people do see its usage and potential thats why its being adopted also and seeing their value is increasing too.
Ordinary people still have not popuar with altcoin such as eth and ltc. Still very unlikely in the future will replace bitcoin or received as a means of payment.
The point that we can take from altcoin, comes up with a creative dev team that can advance a better system in the future.

There is going to more than one coin in the future, who knows, maybe even 100 or a 1000 coins systems in use.

We are just at the beginning of the evolution (or is it a revolution?).

Maybe it depends on the altcoin that you invest because if you invest in a wrong coin your money is just going to nothing i ddnt say that always like that but you to choose wisely if you want a long term or a short term trade for me i prefer long term and short term together but it depends on you just like litecoins and other coins and token if you invest there in year 2014 maybe you become a rich by today the price is up to the moon

I do believe in Altcoins in the future, the question about their usages is going to be answered by developers all over the world, they are doing their best to bring crypto currencies to users and our lives, real lives.

There are many altcoins which can be used for specific purposes. Like GNT or SYS or Zcash. You can not use bitcoin instead of Zcash. Cryptoworld is not just a legal money transfer. Or you can not use bitcoin for creating a supercomputer like the dev. of golem is trying now. Even now there is a many different purposes and many different coins because of this purposes. Of course, Coins which has not a big purpose will eliminate. But in my opinion, the number of altcoins will increase in the future not decrease.

If Bitcoin has a good future i think altcoins too because alternative coins is just depends on the movement of price of the bitcoin so if bitcoin will get have a successful in the future i think it is the same to altcoins and for long term it depends on the moderators on how they will handle the coins and depends on their projects if become successful.
Not only Ethereum and Litecoin will become successful there's other alts that have a good projects like Ripple, Stellar, Digibyte and SiaCoin.
You said that looks altcoin is pegged with the bitcoin, But for some reasons I can't agree with you. Basically the price of the altcoin pegged with the dollar value of bitcoin. But there some good coins that has provided a good development such as ethereum and waves. it didn't depend with the bitcoin. Altcoin will be alive depends on their result of development.

Yeah Bitcoin will survive in the future and of course it will grow more but I do believe in other Altcoins too not only because they do have potential to be the future's currencies but they are also growing up to replace Bitcoin someday.

90% of altcoins don't have a future and just release vaporware, but there are loads that will thrive. The real innovation is the blockchain which enables a lot of p2p tech to be trustless and bitcoin isn't the only crypto that can use a blockchain.

Yes, not many of the new coins are good they are just to take people money. Because currently cryptocurrency is booming and many people want to invest in these crypto market, and these new coins want to exploit this situation and make good money for devs and promoters. So before buying you should check the use of coin in future and make a decision to invest.

If I buy some ICO coins then I am making a purchase right.?
You call yourselves investors..
Then when I go to a coin supported retailer I am then spending my coins..
Following me?
OK I'll break it down.. You are paying twice idiots.

If you are an investor then you are buying in to a scheme for something in return over and above the utility of transaction usage..

You then bought then coins.. And are then out of real money.
Then if you spend them somewhere it costs you even more money now for a second transaction.

And I see other stupidity too..
Like how about bring down the government anon coin used on exchanges that are government compliant and that take your picture ID... To buy "anon" coins Cheesy

Or.. Saying ETH will take over for Bitcoin.
You realize how stupid that is?
What form of payment were they taking in order to purchase 2014's scammy ass Ethereum ICO coins?
Oh that's right... BITCOIN Cheesy

That is like saying the horse will be made obsolete by cars..
But you can't get a car with out having a horse first.

Ahhhh so much fucking innovation here it hurts hahahahahha
Fuck you people are stupid corrupt & greedy.

Future?
Ask me when we have 10,000 coins made.

Can you all wrap your head around how much dilution that is and..
How many bag holders that amounts to?

I'm just curious.. When do good smart people show up?
Can we run an ICO for that?

I hear Ripple is being used by the bank of Nigeria.
And Putin once saw a picture of Butters so.. You know..
RUSSIA IS BACKING ETHEREUM

Just like bitcoin, altcoin can do really have future for a long term use because it also undergo pumps and dumps on its price value just like bitcoin did. It just many are focusing on using bitcoin rather than altcoins. But if you really want to know if altcoins are good for long term purpose, what do not try investing on it and see if it make sense of gaining more.

I somehow agree with you but some coin are here which looks like will have a future the one who have active development team and have a proper road map and the team working on the future of that coin will sure have some value in future and almost 90% of the coins looks like short term and will disappear when people get more and more knowledge about crypto trading.

Just like bitcoin, altcoin is also a cyptocurrency wherein other set or type of coins are categorized. So I can just say that we cannot evenly say yet of what is the future in investing on a type of altcoin. But just like bitcoin, altcoin can be open for sudden changes in its price values that will suit for long term purpose.
