I believe that definitely there are some altcoins that have real use. Some are backed by real investments. Though most that claim to have backing are normally scams. Or it is the Dev plain lying. I do think in the next 2-3 years we will see better altcoins with real world is and no need to convert to Bitcoin forst before it's useful.

If you want an advantage in the future of course you have to be smart choose coins that have a high value
This coin was especially created to get investments without thinking about the future of the coins. And I'm not really sure that the ICO market wil there after a few years.
Coins such as the Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash and main Monero was Pope, but if we compare with bitcoin, in General, we cannot use these coins in real life, for example, to buy something

Bitcoin will stay as Bitcoin and Altcoins will stay as an Altcoin. The hype surrounding Bitcoin is larger than any Altcoin there is right now, as much as I would like to see an Altcoin get more hype than Bitcoin it would be pretty meaningless because Bitcoin was what began the whole Altcoin thing.
If there is an Altcoin that gets more expensive than Bitcoin there wouldn’t be that much of a point to it as well.

It all based on the project at hand. Firstly, the most important thing would be a good development team which would assure a loophole free system. After this comes smaller things like managing the ICO properly, fair distribution etc which would determine the future of the coin against bigger altcoins in the current market.

I agree with this. I'm well aware that most of these coins are total scams. They do **** all for the most part. Ridiculous value with zero real world use. Just another wannabe Bitcoin in a different colour/flavour. Or they take something which already exists and is working fine and say "Hey.. look... now it's DECENTRALISED! That's worth a BILLION dollar market cap, yeah?".


However... I do think a few coins will survive. Notably Monero, which is quickly becoming BTC's little brother on the dark net.
And there is some corporate justification for blockchain tech, as the Deloitte partnership with the Waves platform demonstrates. The smart contract stuff might be total bull****, but the token mechanic is very interesting. It will require regulation, but I don't think it's going away.

Yes ofcourse. Altcoin is just a bitcoin which now the price just to low then after a year the price will be multiple. Altcoin is the best in trading because you have a possible to earn a big profit on it so that's why altcoins is really have a future.

I absolutely agree that altcoin has a future like bitcoin.In addition to that, as of now all altcoin are very popular and many people buy and hold it because there is a possibility that the price of altcoin will pump up.Lastly,i believe that altcoin will have a good future and will help more people to gain a good profit.

Altcoin that provide features and services that betters bitcoin will always create a niche for themselves and the future will always be bright. You look at ETH and waves you realize it is possible for all altcoins to grow but first of all the altcoin must bring something to the table that all the other coins does not possess. So i developing an altcoin or promoting an altcoin one needs to look at the gaps in the system and fixed them, this will provide good market access and that altocoin will definately make it. Remember bitcoin is fixed so are altcoins hence there is always room for new and improved products since the demand for cryptocurrency is ever increasing

I don't understand why some people group all altcoins together. Some of the coins are undoubtedly scams, and many of them offer nothing new or nothing of any real use. However, a lot of them are useful, far beyond just being a store of value. Just looking at 2 and 3 in marketcap...

Blockchain smart contracts surely offer real utility. In which case ETH or something similar will be huge.

And for XRP, instant, low fee international transactions solves a real and current problem. Their whole approach is focused on real world use.

There are many other examples, this is just looking at the top two alts.

I just think it's shortsighted to say that alts are all useless or all scams, when this is clearly not the case. Bitcoin is still king, but there are other members of the royal family.

As you say bitcoin more has a great chance to have a future than altcoin, altcoin has a future or not it depends on what altcoin has and the interest of investors and users on the altcoin, for now I think eth has a future or it can last longer than other altcoin

It will not be a problem if you are only thinking short-term investment.
Many have made a profit investing in altcoin. You will just need to monitor it and be there when the time is right for the big sell.
Then you could probably make that profit invested into BTC.
In the future they will be useful considering there will be more applications that will be released and some developer might want to use an altcoin instead of bitcoin for light traffic purposes.
The transactions can be faster, I think gambling sites will be the first one to benefit from it.
Then, the users could just trade it back to bitcoin.
