I agree that Bitcoin has a future in the long term. Bitcoin is reliable and it has long established itself as a time-tested coin. But he  does not solve all the problems that some other cryptocurrencies solve. I think the future lies in the symbiosis of Bitcoin and Altcoins. Bitcoin will play the role of gold in the cryptocurrency world, and other cryptocurrencies will solve some other problems.

Of course, if you see the last couple of months revolution of Altcoin then you can make easily understand that in the future Altcoin will dominate on the monetary world. Not only that but also Altcoin will play the vital role in a daily transaction payment. So that it's easily assumed that Altcoin will have a bright future.

Altcoins do have a future. As of now we all know that it is very hard to obtain bitcoin if you are just an ordinary citizen. This only means that their option into entering cryptocurrency is through the altcoins. Therefore if there are people who will use altcoins then this will create a demand which could also power the distribution of altcoins.

I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.
absolutely 100% altcoins will have future. but not for all altcoins for some famous altcoins itself. for example bitcoin price was 6000$ before 1 year now it is cross 18000$ and again reduced now to 9000$. due to this action altcoin have bright feature. not only bitcoin ethereu, bitcoin cash, ripple so many are there.

Ethereum is the best coin after bitcoin, and I think the future of ethereum will also be good. Ethereum is the best altcoin for investment.

Well thought-out post, but ultimately your premise amounts to wishful thinking. You can't just assume the fundamentals have changed due to a correction.

I feel you misunderstand how much has changed over the past two months. The composition of the market is fundamentally different due to the massive influx of noobs who fomobought in. They ALL bought the top because they ALL want easy, big returns they missed out on with BTC's much-publicized bull run. That's why they're here in the vast majority of cases.

And that is NOT a criticism of noobs. This market incentivizes hype, and as long as that incentive remains, you will still see the propagation of shitcoins and ICO's, you will still see across-the-board shilling, conspiracy theories, vote brigading, moon lambo please sir speculation. Only even moreso than before.

Pandora's box is open, you think one market correction will close it? No, not with crypto. The only direction we are headed in is hyperaltcoinization. This is just the floor that the next hype cycle will emerge from.

Altcoins are a game. Probably the greatest massively-multiplayer game that has ever existed, and we're only getting started

it depends, some have a future / speculative power, others have a future in making the blockchain technologicy better, sometimes but not always, these futures go hand in hand.

Why do you think Bitcoin has a future in the long term and not alt coin?

What can bitcoin do?

You do not seem to have a basis for that argument other than it is popular.

I do believe in Bitcoin but i think altcoins like Ethereum and Neo will be even more important in the future.

And there are many altcoins that have applications beyond just storage of value.

Keyword: Blockchain 3.0
If you find a alcoin that it is realy growing follow blockchain 3.0. You can buy and hold. But it's so difficult to find a coin have something like that.
I recommend you ilcoin and arcblock.
Many persion is not trust for ilcoin because of its MLM system.
Arcblock is the future or not. You can wait.
That is my own opinion.

More altcoins still need to be considered to understand that they can be relied on, but of course many of them are not for long-term prospects, but this is a good alternative to bitcoin. Possible in near future some of them could become new king of crypto

yes it does, even we have bitcoin which is the main reason why there is altcoins, altcoins is very useful in the crypto world which is used differently. it has a future because technology is evolving, and just like in our cultural fiat money, altcoins is also money that can be use through online transactions.

Altcoins are not viable because they are unable to reproduce what gives the bitcoin its major competitive advantage: its market value.
As for me, the future of Altcoins is not that cloudless as it seems to be!

Without a doubt, yes. I believe that with a creative project and a good campaign manager it will become a success. But, as we know, some coins are a scam. It is a gamble. Dig a little deeper and do some research and find out what's going on behind each coin. If the community is actively participating then, in some sense, its price will fluctuate higher, also, an active developer who's not afraid having a big responsibility is a major thing.

I just saw a few altcoins out there that really value. Most of the rest is created without a clear direction, except to keep them profitable
