Ofcourse altcoins can be good. They are here to solve a few problems related to payments faced in many areas . They may not be as powerful as bitcoin is, but they have potential. Though not all altcoins are genuine and give good returns but there are many which can be considered good investments. There's no reason to believe that there will only be one coin in the future. But coins have to show real usage and value to survive. Ethereum, Civic, Zcash and Monero have that. Probably also Iota.
Yes absolutely, but not all alts will have a great future. Choose some alts leaders in their specific fields. BTC is droping regarding his dominance on crypto market, so you must diversify your portfolio with some good gems. You can take a look at QSP in the auditing utility field, Blue in smart contract security, BTX with advanced BTC features and for anon coins you can take a look at XSPEC.
I also believe that as the market expands, so will the number of the block chains - having one is simply not enough in the long run. Therefore, in my belief, all of the altcoins, alongside with BTC, will prevail in future. True, the future of most altcoins will always depend on the BTC's well being. Nevertheless, I believe that many of the Alcoins do have a future.
ALTcoins really have a future but don't like as bitcoin
Altcoins right now are actually getting really unstable because of bitcoin's trend. Which makes it difficult to predict or have a hint on what will happen to them in the future. I hope bitcoin's value stabilize by the end of the year so altcoins will be sorted out by then and have a consistent trend.
Hmm, honestly, I don't think the whale will make the market become easily to predict as your said. Although I also want to see the price of altcoin can recover before the end of this year, but the fact, the price of Bitcoin increases or decreases all afftected the value of altcoin. 
For all we know, altcoins are so many but each of them have their peculiar uses. They are there to serve the project they are made on behalf of. Therefore they will have a bright future if their project is also doing perfectly well. If the project is a failure then the coin will definitely follow to the bottom.
I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.
If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.

Yes, since most of them are established by a certain services or company with a certain amount of users and buyers, I think it would make sense to see it last in the futures to come. It would just be normal to persist in the future unless people will stop using them.

Yes, the good ones do. The ones with active development, supportive community and the ones which serve a real world purpose; they will flourish...

I think that if we didn't believe in their future, we wouldn't be here. I think, that traditional economy is dead at the moment. Just in few years it will need to be changed. The decentralisided economy will be the next. It's only begining. And, yes, we are at the source 
Brother market can not hold a single coin, that is why there are other coins and ICOs are hitting market day by day, the people wo do ICO dies a great research, on the otherhand if they find out zero future of altcoin they will not do so, so ethereum and other coins have a very bright future and as you can see their worth are increasing .
In my opinion, bitcoin just continues to exist among cryptocurrencies as if it were Gold. and then other altcoins with specific functions will be spread. Especially xrp has much steadier future and potencial as to international remittance. That is why I believe xrp is the top of altcoins.

We can see that AltCoins such as Ehereum is getting popular day by day which once had no value. It's already certain that most coins present today won't be there in the future and that depends on what niche or nature they are in. If what they promote is an idea that is something unique and appealing in the market with very strong development team then it'll definitely make its name in the crypto market that will make it valuable. If it's something that's like a copy-cat from another altcoin idea then I guess its value will be just pump and dump altcoin.
In my opinion the market will be limited to 3 or 4 major cryptocurrencies, 2 of them have already been identified bitcoins and litecoins. The creature of a new currency which will push the leaders is extremely unlikely so that competition goes for the 3 and 4 place. Litecoin exists as a replacement for bitcoin - if bitcoin suddenly dies under another hacker attack .. so we have litecoins!
In my opinion, altcoins except deeponion is good for short term investment. And btc, deeponion are best for long term. So do it

Yes But not all for example now I have knowledge about Edu coin which is working on Education platform developed by Os university team to revolutionise Education system So the concept is clear these kind of Coins will definitely have future.
