Not all altcoins have a future. Most of them are hump and dump coins. But some of the coins have a great potential like:
Litecoin: With a blockchain of 2.5 minutes which is four times faster than bitcoins, it speeds up the transactions.
Monero: Provides complete privacy. It is totally anonymous. The identity of sender and reciever is kept private. Transections are untraceable.
Ethereum: An emergent digital asset as it acts as a software platform which can be coded by itself and activated through the blockchain system by its developers.

There are a lot of cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is one of them. It's the best cryptocurrency. It's increasing it's business day by day. More and more peoples are using this coin and the number is increasing. Now a lot of new coins are launched. They are following bitcoin as there idle. The price of these coins are also increasing. The security system of these coins are also good. People are also using these coins. They are not used vastly. But I believe that they will be succeeded in future.

Each altcoin sets its own future, at least ethereum did so.
After the success of Bitcoin, many crypto virtual currencies emerged.
Ethereum is different from the others.

Ethereum is really a future. I watch the action and the current market and I think that all of this has a great chance of success. Just break the risk barrier and believe it will work. I was successful.

Altcoins do have a future as long as people make ICOs. The question is what future do they have. But it's quite obvious that there will be no bright future for them compared to bitcoin.
It depends on the coin, there are many alts that are not going to survive in the future but there are a few selected projects that are very good and that are going to be around for a very long time so we need to concentrate on find it these projects so we can make great profits in the future.

Altcoins (Blockchain as well) in general have a future - these or one of them will probably be the currency of the future.
It all comes down to global policy...

many altcoins are created making it less likely for them to compete with old coins but do not rule out also for them to be more than their predecessors because the newly marketed coins are favored by investors. so they become potential in the future but one of them may not survive in competition and lose its value.

I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.

Yes it is still in the near future there is still altcoins had a better future which it can be use as bitcoin does, like what you had mentioned such as Ethereum, Waves, Litecoin, Dash, Myst, Adx and Doge. Those are for me that has a real future.

Yes they have mate theyre no different from bitcoin but some altcoins have future but not that good
So the altcoins have even good start than bitcoin because bitcoin have been going on since 2008 and it has a huge value for now but it didnt happen on one day . So altcoins now have a good start or future because it is advertised over the internet and getting some reviews or fame of it not like bitcoin it struggles through the way to success it is likely to go higher than bitcoin in time because of the internets influence

You need to understand that each altcoin is the project who trying solve some problem. It is a business based in the crypto world. If the project is a success than also project currency will be stable and the price will rice.

which is the best way to follow such project knowing that the coin was created for a certain uses, i think just like btc if alts can be use for payment transactions of money remittance and then that particular project will have a great future ahead and can work alongside with bitcoin in coming future.

Some of the altcoins cater to unique needs. For example, there are anonymous currencies such as Monero, Blackbytes and DeepOnion which can be used for high-risk transactions. Similarly, Byteball can be used for conditional smart payments. Such altcoins will prosper, even if the others become obsolete.

Why not. When Bitcoin emerged, people were also wondering if it had a future. Everything that's based on and backed by something - like a product, technology, and so on - all has a value, and this value might grow.

So yes, altcoins really have a good future, I think, but not all, of course.

In my mind, not all of them - this is a competitive market) However, a significant part of altcoins are useful and perform various necessary functions in certain areas of our life, making it more convenient, comfortable and safe.
