IN my view there will be about 10 more or less dominant crypto currencies.
BTC as investment at least.
ETH and some other which is associated with app building and successful Token projects
Cryptos which gives more anonymity than BTC.

If BTC resolves transaction fees, is there future for LTC? I am not sure.

I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.

I think they do, some altcoins already existed for a long time and some new ICOs are not really meant for just trade and sell coins, there are some real big companies who are seeking investors in cryptocurrency. I think ICOs are great ways to have investments, you just need to be careful when investing.
Yes be careful on investing because you cant get back what will you invest if you are invest in the ICO that is scam so make sure on it. Yes altcoin really have a future some cant even see it the reason why because some always look for the leading coin which is Bitcoin but theg dont see the possibility of this coin which is altcoin that is more quietly make some way on how it can be.

I think they have a present, most likely. That is, in the future it is probable that they keep going on as they are now, used by some people to speculate and trade with them with close to zero real-world usage. And that does not need to be bad at all....

You have your obscure altcoin, (i.e: johndoecoin) go to a shop, and pay with your coins that are converted on the fly to BTC by a lightning fast exchange service. Cool, I envision something like that.

after regulations every coffee shop will have its own cryptomoney.
with progress in exchanging API, lower fee and faster blockchains we will have a whole infrastructure ready for that.

Well as some say it all depend in Bitcoin.
However i would say that it depends how useful and purpose does an altcoin serve.
For example ethereums technology is unbelievable. The furure is bright and current price is low compare to were it can get.
Also XRP ripple is a great coin at it has product and its serving the bank for fast payments.
These two altcoins do have a great future and everyone can make money out them.

Bitcoin also started from nothing, look at it now. So you can always believe in altcoins today because we will never know what would be the next bitcoin.

Ethereum is a pretty good example of why you should have faith in altcoins. Trading can be done not just by using bitcoins, altcoin also share a pretty fair game in this industry.

Bitcoin is the only crypto which has a definate future. But still we are far away from mass adoption. In case of alts, there are a few that may perform well, one of them is maid coin. This project has been in development for a long time now and has been making progress constantly.

We're in the early days of cryptocurrency, most won't be around or be noteworthy in 5-10 years, but those that survive will be huge.

Of course, altcoin has good prospects. However, for longterm will be few altcoin left. Due to user factors or innovation of altcoin itself.

I think there are many incoming coins next year which are huge possibility that those coin have a great future just make their project be successful and more people will support their mission, nowadays only few altcoin has a brighter future like bitcoin and there are many altcoin are now die or lossing its volume because people doesnt support their project.

everything is possible in the near future, bitcoin reserve left only few,and sooner it will be mined by Miners,so the probability of other coins to rise is in the edge by then.so we must be aware that those coins that were taken for granted now may be the next coin that wil dominate the crypto world

Some coins will live, other's will not. The crypto world is not much different to the business world, with all these coins being the same as businesses. Everyone has their own take on how to use a set of tools to simplify a process. That is great, but simplification does not always grant more value than the cost. In these cases the coin will die out. When the underlying function of the coin is worth something for someone, then it has a right to live.
