There is sure a future for altcoins but it is whether you can identify the next one and make a hell lots of money out of it. I do know about people who become millionaires after getting into the ethereum waves and neo waves. However, there is still a lot of space for many other coins to grow. We can see company like omisego has been a huge company that has grown like x20 to 30 of its ico price as it have complete major projects.
I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.
What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?
I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.
If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.

As the name itself, Altcoin is alternative to bitcoin. My understanding is that it is made so that in the absence of bitcoin, you can also use other cryptos which has a lower value than bitcoin.
I think its usage is just like a token in a casino, before you can play, you will have to buy their own tokens which is exclusively used only in that particular casino.
yes if bitcoin has future altcoin will also have as alts have more good technology compared to bitcoins so they will be used for sure
I think altcoins can be used for a lot of different things. The coins that focus on gaming communities can be cool projects to follow. They might not get a market cap in the likes of ETH or such, but I think they have a good concept. That's what I'm betting on now, devs and concept. Ark also seem like they have some good things going on. Also there's a ICO coming up that claims to have very fast and cheap transactions. It could very well be the altcoin that is needed for day to day use. If you see my avatar and signature you'll see DeepOnion, which is also a very nice project. Privacy is worth a lot of money to a lot of people, and this coin could fill that market.

In my opinion, it has also a good future just like Bitcoin. As of this moment, Altcoin is known for its best at short-term investment which gives huge profit to the investors. One good example is Etherium which its value is continuously increasing due to the increase on its demand resulted from being more oftenly used in ICOs. I believe that if it won't be Etherium, there'll be another alt that will match up qith Bitcoin in the future. What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Of course yes, that really has a future, you know why? If you are only holding your altcoin for the long run, I could say that you can get a high profit on it. Holding your altcoins is the best way to grow your earnings. There is a possibility for to become a millionaire soon if you do that.

There is no future for most of these altcoins since most of them are just selfish scams by the developers to get rich. However, there are some that will be widely used, depending on the value they are bringing to the society. What problem they solve and the developers dedication to keep making new changes and developments to the original project. If the current restrictions are minimized and more businesses and governments allow their adoption, Altcoins will make it to the future.
Yes, altcoins do have a future, if you look at it, whenever bitcoin is going down, altcoins do go up, and still is bein use as currency, however, we are still about to see some altcoins to rise above the occassion, before ethereum very promising, then came along bitcoin cash, which also did gain an amount almost the same with ethereum, however still so far behind bitcoin. What is can see is that a new altcoin will be taking the place of bitcoin, once bitcoin has reached its highest value, and for sure, it is one of the altcoins today, since a lot are very promising, still we need.to study altcoins in order to select the best one for us.
I think also altcoin is better for our future and many people believing on it but we should be alert about it. If we get a bit of coin it will be better in coming period of time and it is better to invest for a long time. But bitcoin is more better to altcoin.

I see alt-coins being a like a specific business currency, as you can see, some websites and services like facebook, steam,etc.. are using currency, facebook specifically has facebook tokens and I can see them creatingtheir own coin to be used in those purposes. That would make them money and would open up a few more possibilites. That's unleast what I see for many alt-coin and the rest with be there just as they are now.
You are right! Most of these altcoins have a targeted field and looking at how they can use the coin to disrupt those fields based on how people can pay. For example a Tio token has been making some pretty big move to disrupt the tour industry with their coins and after looking into the project, the team and how far and fast they have gone, it is going to make some pretty big impact in that tour industry. There are so many of these coins too and I can tell you their future is going to be marvelous.

why not? altcoin has many different types and different price variations and functional. Bitcoin is not ideal.

At the current time, seeing what altcoins are providing, I don't think they will have such a future and growth like bitcoin has managed to have, but the altcoins will surely bear fruits in the near future, I hope.
