keep calm guys, in my opinion bitcoin will not reach $ 20k in short time. maybe 2019 bitcoin will reach at $ 20K again. but if you are holding altcoin. stay calm. from my experience after the bitcoin increase has stabilized. altcoin will follow that. with an uptrend. so if you have more patience. still to hold all your altcoin.
So far I know if you think that altcoin has potential and can last for a long time right because lately, it seems the majority of altcoins are really active, you do not have to worry about what a bitcoin does.

Many rise as BTC rise and fall as BTC falls. Anyways investing in BTC is a higher guarantee of profit than altcoins. But I think if you invest in a good coin, you'll earn better as well

Selling in this type of market condition is very dicey and risky! You may sell and there will be a serious upturn of event and you may hold and lose even more in dollar terms. I think the best approach in my experience is to hold to lose after all you shouldn't be investing an amount you can not afford to lose!

Actually, when to sell your coins is not important. The key is to have a psychological price of your goal. When you reach the entire position, you will not hesitate to sell. When you trade, you must overcome your inner greed to become a mature trader.
You don't really need to sell your alts especially if one or more of these alts are very promising to grow in the cryptoworld. Maybe you can sell half of them and let the other half stay in your wallet for a long time.
