I am thinking to buy a new computer. Fun. Wondering what you guys use?

Any special computer or just any ol' machine will do?! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Do you have a VPN or a personal Hotspot?

What Virus Protection do you use?  How about... Mac Afee?

Mac or a DELL?Huh Cool Cool

I use an ASUSS i7, it's the best you can really use, if you have the opportunity to buy one of those features it's great, you'll get speed in every way, and by antivirus do not worry, there are many like the NOD32 that really is Very good, and VPN is not so necessary, unless you are in a country where you have bans, Macafee I do not recommend, it is very bad and if it is DELL I think it is much better than a Mac.

I'm not a laptop user but a smartphone user. Although I'm also using a personal computer, I'm much comfortable in the convenience that smartphone gives as you don't need to resign in to your account whenever you open your phone. Although we can't deny that in trading it's better to see market charts in a wider screen, a small screen is enough for me since there are apps that allows you to view market charts just like what you can see in a personal computer.

I don't think that you need a Laptop for trading, any desktop computer would work fine. If you are constantly on the move then you need a laptop computer. Google search you will find good anti virus and vpn.
This is the major reason why many people will stick to trading on laptop to a desktop trading because virtually everyone is always on the move except pro traders that strictly make trading their day to day JOB and then laptop will still be considered the best especially for countries with very unstable power supply or expensive power supply, desktop require you to stay connected on the electricity too for long, at least we still have some laptops that would stay up to 8 hours after being charged to cut off the use of power supply that will take part of our profit away.

I tend to use computer when I do trading because I can fully see the chart but when I am out in our school I always bring my laptop so even Im not in the house I can still do trading. I do not use any kind of VPN. But, I think if you looking for better laptop for trading I suggest use MAC.
I personally not using MAC I'm currently using Dell and I fell really comfortable with this laptop. If I can earn some good profits then I will purchase a computer for trading.

I personally use a laptop because it is convenient for me to take it with me and make my trades when I am on the move.
The best option that I would go for, is based on the number of the screens that I would like to have. Three screens would be a good setup for me that will help me take better decisions, but due to my life pace I don't have the time to spend time on the monitors.

Having a laptop can help you to stay online in everywhere as long as there is an internet connection available. Besides that, when you are mobile, you can use your mobile phone to connect to the market, and I am sure that it will give you an easy way to check the market anytime. But if you are not always mobile, then you only need a desktop computer so you can online and check or browse information that you want.

trading using a computer is a good suggestion, but if things don't work like at home, many naughty children use computers to play games and become a burden in doing work, so laptops are still the best alternative for trading work and you have protection using VPN it's good, anti-virus protection on your computer or laptop is better.

I prefer to use a laptop personally. I don't use any other devices because I just hate to use a smartphone or tablet to go through the web (I do have a tablet but rarely use it). I hate small screens and low performance. Even reading the news media on a smartphone is boring. I have 2 laptops 17' and I won't go back to a 15' screen.

So, only a laptop and a browser for me

More often using a mobile phone than a laptop, because I am more outside the house.
When i am back at home and before go to bed at night I use a laptop
Trading with mobile is risky just like see the case of OP you might enter wrong amount and will lose all the money with silly mistake so I suggest you to bring your big screen equipment with you which is laptop or the tablet where you can see all the trading window without any difficulties.
He might still use phone but its better he limits his activities on phone when it comes to trading with it, you know we have lots of trader that are also on the go with stable internet, imagine I am inside a bus and need to trade, it would be difficult to start operating my laptop in a bus for trade that cannot wait to I get to a location where I can open my laptop, take for example too, a site engineer that need to move round and not stable on a spot but with his phones, he can still keep his eyes on the trade, just need to be careful as you said not to enter a wrong trade.
It good to also trade on the go since great opportunities can arise anytime in the crypto market due to the volatility in price of the market but the best way to make a successful trade on the go is by setting a price alert app which keep you update about any change in price of the market without this trading using the phone is dangerous as jrrsparkles said.

Nah it's the same for me. You can make as much mistakes on a laptop or desktop if you're not careful. The thing is that some big trading sites don't have mobile app and you would have to use a mobile browser. You have to be a little more careful then. If you're going to trade on a mobile device on the go then probably best to find a mobile exchange app like binance.

you will soon get used to it    .  you will find it an advantage because you can trade all the time whenever you will go  .
I don't share that way of thinking. I tried to trade on my mobile phone, and while I do have a semi large phone, it's awful to read charts and zoom in on certain smaller time frames. It's not convenient at all.

I tried the Binance app as well, and while it does provide a better overall experience, it just can't function as well as when you trade on a laptop or desktop computer. Things also take longer to load on mobile phones, so another disadvantage.

I doubt serious traders use their mobile phones for trading purposes. The only thing it's good for is people buying in blindly and selling blindly. In other words, buy low sell high type of trading/investing.
When someone doing trading as their profession then they need the right tools to do it,or else it will cause them to be in losses.

In the modern world we can get laptop for very cheap price as well and it is indeed when we want to make money from it.

How about just trading with............ Iphone or a smart phone device???  Yes/no??

I logged into Binance with my iPhone and iPad and it just does not fully work no matter what I do.

Guess what? Been using an Android phone only to trade altcoins using Binance and other exchanges. I am also doing margin trading and a swing trader in bitmex using my phone. So far, got no problem at all. We only need a good and fast internet connection. Been doing trading and using a phone for almost two years now.

I must say it is more convenient for me because I do have a full time job and I can check my tradings through my phone whenever I want. Using laptop in my job doesn't fit.

same here im also a mobile user  . sure we experience a problem at first use because most exchanges are too big and not implemented for mobile use but once you already familiarize yourself  . you will soon get used to it    .  you will find it an advantage because you can trade all the time whenever you will go  .

I use laptop to trade altcoins.  For this now I use Lenovo and it still good until now when I bought this. I have anti virus so I can sure that my money is safe or my wallet. We use laptop to trade because it easy to trade and all features of crypto exchanges. Only few people are using mobile phones to trade. But sometimes I use mobile phoned when Im outside when I need to check the price of the coins.
