I don't think bitcoin needs our promotion)) If something has an advantage - then people use it. If it's price grow then investors buy it, if it has some usefull apps wich more comfort to use instead usual banking apps - then people use it.
Yes absolutely because social media influence is very strong. All people are into social media. I knew or heard bitcoin in fb. It was somewhat advertised in facebook before. At least i had seen the logo of bitcoin in facebook but my sister is the one introduced it to me properly. Social media has a wide range of market.

Here I myself even making advertisement of bitcoin indirectly by using my own social media accounts by saying that bitcoin's market is going up and etc etc weekly and many people asked me for those posts that for which thing I am making posts and what are the advantages are associated with the use of the bitcoin .
But still here I am thinking that the best thing is to stop the negativity about the bitcoin that is spreading day by day in the social media and making many newbies to away from bitcoin use , so we should make atleast a small community that can do work against the negative news and rumours that are running in social media.

The influence of social media is more powerful than mainstream media, people can spend more than 6 hours per day for social media, so I think introducing bitcoin via social media is a good solution to increase the number of users.
