I've checked some PH based crypto and they really focused on the value of their coin and not building or making projects or services that will utilize their coin. I think one best approach so that they can contribute to the country is partner to businesses especially the payment centers, establishments, etc.

I saw a thread earlier asking about Philippine based or targeted coins, and there have been a few attempts at a country coin. Is this really something that we are interested in?

The purposes for others was for remittances, for general investing, for bills payments and banking, for OFWs, for rewards, for points.

Would we like something similar to Bitcoin ATMs where you can buy and sell on a machine?

Do we want a free airdrop? Or an ICO? Or a mixture of both? (Bounties of course will be available.)

Discuss.

We already have our own coin here in the Philippines. TOA Coin made for the Travel Industry. You may get more info from their website - https://toacoin.com/ and from their facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/toa.coin?_rdc=1&_rdr

been searching for a topic related to local crypto coin and what it could offer just out of curiosity, then i saw this thread and i thought the idea of blockchain use against our government system ( wasn't so corrupt anymore IMHO ) would be the greatest thing. About the airdrop I'd say "free taste is always good "  Grin

I think same ata ito ng principle ng Ripple and Stellar?

The problem here is that people here in the Philippines have the mindset of having benefitting all of themselves. It’s fun to have crypto currency that we can call our own but it’s going to be challenging. Especially, us Filipinos, want to earn money for ourselves, not for the country. Kaya napakaraming private companies dito and private lands, it’s hard to improve the infrastructure without private companies interfering with the governments plans.

Still waiting for an update from Dabs about this. It’s an exciting project to support.

In my opinion a very big project needs a very big financial backer so that we make the Philippine coin work and be able to be used by thousands and thousands of people. Also we can spearhead a campaign to at least buy the philippine coin at face value - one token is one peso. Parang Tether diba. Maganda yun I promise. It increases in value as more people will be able to know it.

Maski hindi pinoy mismo ang lead or main developers, basta managed by some pinoy. For example, kung matutuloy yung sa aken, syempre I will hire good coders and talent. Meron ako mga kilala, and while they have visited the Philippines, hindi sila pinoy. Hindi naman kailangan eh.
We really need help from other people, not mainly Filipino but still, there are a lot of people who are experts on the current goal. Something like that. Mas effective yun.

I just read the thread I'm here to support with whatever I can do to help. Having our own coin, different from the dead coins (PSB,etc) would help a lot of people. Ang daming mahirap and help integrate it in a way na pwede nila magamit ng walang smartphone na mahal. Kasi some people can't really afford them. It would help the country and also the Filipinos who need help.
