Initial coin offering (ICO) is an unregulated and controversial means of crowdfunding via use of cryptocurrency, which can be a source of capital for startup companies. In an ICO a percentage of the newly issued cryptocurrency is sold to investors in exchange for legal tender or other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.
I think we have a problem as the SEC stressed that ICOs must be registered and has "confirmed work toward crafting regulations for cryptocurrency transactions and initial coin offerings (ICOs) in order to reduce fraud risks and protect investors." You can read more

At dahil nakialam na ang gobyerno asahan natin ang red tape at kung ano-anong hassles... nandiyan na ung matagal maaprubahan, nasa freezer at nangangailangan ng pampadulas.
Sa pagkaka-alam ko kaya ginawa ang bitcoin (at mga cryptos) ang
goal nito ay para maka-iwas sa centralization... "it's completely decentralized with no server or central authority, and transactions are made with no middle men – meaning, no banks!." Ganoon din marahil ang goal ng mga developer ng ICOs.
