Not always but i usually invest on top 10 coins/tokens but not all coins, only some coins.

I also invest on altcoins below top 10 that i think have a good future like dogecoin. There are some good coins too to invest beside of top ranked coins.

It depends on each individual investor. If you don’t want to risk too much, buy the biggest coins. If you are not afraid of risk, then there is a huge selection of assets. I think the best is a balanced portfolio. At different times it may be a portfolio with different composition.

There is always a good reason why some coins are ranked near the top by the market so one needs to research and acquire those. Smaller coins can give bigger gains but at higher risk.

Good day! When I invest before, I choose ICOs that is most talked about on social media. That ICO usually consists of the most popular advisors. The advisors and the partner companies of an ICO helps get more investors and popularity which hypes their project. That ICO becomes successful.

Personally, my way of operating the altcoins is with the first 5 of coinmarketcap, this I have as a premise, since they are the ones I see with the greatest capitalization and volume, and that they already have a structure, and have a certain time in the market.

I do not like to invest in currencies that are new, since most of them do not have structure, and it is not known what course they can take, they usually take a downward course.

In addition to the main altcoins, when reviewing its graph, it is very similar to bitcoin, and this is logical, because all altcoins depend on bitcoin. Unless they are from those coins that survive with Pump and Dump ... that likewise, their study is difficult because they do not have a clear structure, at least structure based on Wyckoff's theory, that is, don´tthey have a stage Accumulation and Distribution well established.

It may make sense to invest in lower rank coins for higher earnings. But the risk is more. Now it's more sensible to get a little from the bottom up a little and create a bag right.
In my opinion, more reliable money should be given superiority. This will probably lead to less earnings, but better than losing money. If we completely eliminate the ICOs, it would be best to join the IEOs.

No, sometimes I invest in lesser known coins. But I do it very rarely because such a strategy is dangerous at the moment.

in a situation like this it is better to try to use this strategy because investing in coins that are already well known will minimize the risk of loss and this is the best solution at the moment, moreover the price is at a low rate rather than not getting profit when market growth returns.

well known coins are less profitable in this kind of market situation but unkown coins or coins that are new are have the potential to pump up . its kinda bit strange on why does it happen but maybe people tend to manipulate those coins because they are lighter and more easier  . they will then dump it after some time or as long as the market is now recovering  .

For the safety of our capital it is good we invest into those coins that are ranking high.  It is not as it is in other markets but in cryptocurrencies market it is important to invest in coins like bitcoin, litecoin, ethereum, ripple as we are sure billions of dollars are in it and our investments is very safe.

Higher rank coins help you to recover your money quickly during the bull run as those coins have the high demand and thus quickly it can rise and give you a good return but for those smaller coins not all of them rise equally when the market rises thus may be your coin may just be stagnant making you returns on your money.

Anyone who wants to take less risk should invest in top coins only. The low market cap coins may get die at some point because the market is becoming more competitive. Without a real use, no coin will exist after someday. So, it's better to invest top coin.

Hi Everyone,

As advised I am trying to learn the basics of crypto first.

Most of the suggestions mention investing in top ranked coins. My question is, does it always work? As far as I understand, the market is vulnerable and affects almost all the coins from top to bottom. How then you determine which ones would stay ?

no i don't invest in top 50 coins.
invest in coins between  mcap rank 50- 1000
How lower the mcap how bigger the reward could be..

yes but I also invest in projects that I respect their whitepaper, team and vision ultimately. esp if it aligns most with the true meaning of decentralization and what crypto stands for. ampleforth is one project I have my eyes on that I find pretty interesting in how they plan to interact with other chains.

Investing in top ranked coins is the safest investment yet you would not get a significant gains if you arent putting alot, on the other hand small caps have a lot of room to grow since their caps are almost 2-3mil$ but it also has the biggest risk
indeed, when viewed in terms of benefits and general investors, indeed the coins that have the highest ranking value are more profitable. But in conditions and situations like today we as investors must be smarter in seeing every opportunity for investment coins to get a profit.
Without doing any good research, both will bring risk to your investment, we can't predict when the market will rise again, the advantage of top ranks coins is the community that still patronaging them, investors and traders who keeping their eyes with market movements and eyeing for benefits when there's already a run that happen, you have to review and study those projects and start your journey following the progress.

Not only top coins are capable of a breakthrough, now I know at least five, and in the topics I meet some other tokens that will grow and have prospects. What is important for us now, of course, the bulls, which should be soon.
