yes, I bought altcoins outside the top 100. with these alt records having a good volume in exchange, having hopes of reaching the best price. if I don't see those two things, I won't buy them.

I am agree with you. When we decide buying low transaction coin, its more risky for our investment. Its better to invest in top 100 coinmarketcap because most of that coin listed in decent exchangers and have big volume

for long time hold i would buy them because i know that they will do everything to be there in top 20 or 10 ,for me the top 100 in Coinmarketcap is for long time holders.

Actually, I bought top 100 coins during bull run. Because they are the one who can rise up easily. But when bear market is approaching, I usually buy some altcoins below top 100. I put them on my bucket list specially those who have potentials to grow up. I buy them because there is a chance to be a millionaire in low price altcoins than on top altcoins.

I have really taken my time to study the past bull run in 2017 and I discovered that coins that are outside the top 100 on the coinmarketcap increased more in percentage than the top 100 coins. So I decided that I will I rather invest in coins outside the top 100 because they will make me more money.
To me not buying coins in top 100 is not risky, what's risky is buying coins with no use case, no genuine objectives etc. I buy coins both in top 100 and those that are not, what am after is use case and future benefits.

I don't like to buy small coins very much, because it is very dangerous to invest in them, but after all, sometimes there are perspective coins that I buy
Personally I usually buy altcoins from top 20 CoinMarketCap as they are rather profitable and the most reliable among the others. Only about 10% of my portfolio are the coins from top 100+.
In my opinion, not only is the top 100 on the CMC rankings, but most of the remaining coins are valuable. Not only do you evaluate the potential of these coins with top coin rankings. Other coins you can still invest if you appreciate the development potential of that coin. You need to research carefully before investing.
I don't think those coins are risky to invest. Although it is not common for such coins to offer much profits over a shot period of time, they are quite reliable. Most of my holdings are from the top 100 coins.
You can pay attention to the new promising coins which of course are not yet included in the TOP 100. But it is difficult to recognize such coins. There is a certain risk
i do not buy below 100 Alts. I consider top 100 Coin because i trust that if these coin going down because of BTC fluctuation can grow up too. it is just my view.

Yes I buy it even the coins is not on top 100 based on coinmarketcap.
But, firstly I always research about that coins. So , I can get profit from it.
even I don't care about the rank of the asset in the market. when I see the project running well and the market response is a lot, I think the price growth problem is only a matter of time. Actually, if you want 100x returns, the only way you can achieve that is by finding some diamonds in the mud. Which means lower than top 300 coins.
If you want a safe investment and more conservative gains, then aim for the top 100.
