I generally try to keep myself away from these and have good control on it but when it comes to sports. I feel that I've got it but then I generally come out of it broke.

The thing that we need is not available most of the time that is why we lost. Since luck is your only basis, I don't think you will be successful in the long run, we know for the fact that luck is not consistent and consistency is very important in gambling in order to be profitable in the long run.
Proper control will only come once you are a discipline gambler, you can control everything included at times of bad luck.

I am not sure if we have to place to hold ourselves for not gambling
because of there are many reason why we kept gambling these are :
1. You lost a large amount of your funds cause of that you need to payback
2. You do curious of your lucky charm! Many gambler has that idea cause many time when they just pass the day to play they did pass their lucky
3. You have a rest of which you dont how to use it

These are the reason why we cant keep yourself for not gambling

If we are talking about jackpot than definitely we need luck, without luck in gambling nothing possible. But i agree with you if we are regular gambler than most of the chances are here to addicted and also regular gambler don't know the control word. Because they play without thinking, SO it is a different between us and regular gambler. That's why we know when we stop gambling and control ourself.

I think if you' re the kind of person who has a hard time controlling vices, better to avoid gambling from the start.

I agree , The addicted gamblers are very hard headed that they say that they will stop playing gambling games but they will just play again. But stopping from playing gambling is possible even if you are addict. The example is my friend , he played gambling everyday but he realise he make himself poor from playing it. He decided to stop now he is not a gambler anymore.

That would simply mean you are not allowed to gamble, you have to sacrifice your wants if it will just lead you to a disaster in the end. Gambling is a game of fun, therefore control is really necessary, if you do not have that, forget about gambling. Actually, it is not only gambling that could make a person happy in this world, there are many things and you have to find yours.

That is a good strategy which you have adopted like to not to lose temper and gamble for entertainment. The addicted person which you are telling are those who do not have heart for their love ones and they think only for themselves and for the fun of themselves with the friends on casinos and they often lose the future capital of their family and often destroy the future of their family.
