As I said before, if you have flexible working rules on your job then it is okay for doing trade at work.
Actually, I hardly make any trades during my work hours.
1- In my work hours I’m busy with my work, so I might make wrong decisions while trading and
2- It hampers my work the other way around.

Do you ever trade at work or trade on your work computer? Any reason why you think this might be a terrible idea?

I never tried trading at work or while working, I just think I needed more focus while I am trading and definitely the workplace is not the perfect place for me.
We cannot pay more attention when doing trading at work. Much better to do it at home where you can focus and a secured environment. So I also never tried doing this when I'm at work and also at home I am at ease.

Exactly when worse comes to worst i might got caught by my boss and at the same time lose the trade. Embarrassed

I once want to trade at work but trading will interfere with my work and that will make my work not finished properly, in my opinion trading at work is not good idea
I never try trade at my work because its not easy and I'm so busy in my work. I only trade at night because its my free time I trade 2-3 hours everyday after my work and the result is good because I got profit everyday but only small amount. So not good to trade if you are in work because you cannot focus on it.

As a rule of thumb I try not to use any other public computer's VPN to do my trading as I get paranoid of multiple tracking and potential risk association to my account. I do however, do regular market checks from my work computer and only in certain situations, when I really have to I may do a quick buying/selling but on my phone rather than the work computer.

It's probably not absolute to not use your work computer for trading, though this I feel also depends on the company you're working for, but if you do I also think it is not the end of the world!

I rarely even check my phone when I'm at work since I'm in an always-sterilized environment handling live samples of different organisms in the laboratory. I can't find time to even check the forum nor whether someone has texted me, but I can do some checking on the forum and the price during my lunch break which is quite long (2 hours). Personally, I view people who risks their jobs in doing such a rash thing as someone who are careless and are willing to use the company's resources for their own gain. It might be hard but there are certain limits to which you can do your stuff, and it's certainly not in your workplace. Besides, how can one even focus on trading when they are pre-occupied with something else?

It is always important to understand what is more important for you and concentrate primarily on the most complex and most important tasks.
If trading during work interferes with your work, then you need to build your day in such a way as to do your work as efficiently and efficiently as possible and only then engage in trade.

though i know that this is risky for both Me and my Company but i can't help myself sometimes to check the market and look if there are potential currency to buy or to sell.

but i only do this very occasionally and not that often, because i consider the risk and the the limit of time to wait and check the movement.
At first, when trading on the market was just a hobby, I had to open deals while at that time in my workplace, now trading is my job.
cool so you leave your office job and turn into trading?

Trading at work only makes me feel more tired because trading takes a lot of time to research and must always focus on market fluctuations. In my opinion, it is best not to and only observe this market at work because you need to do your main job well. In addition, if you trade at work, sometimes you will be psychologically and if the market collapses, you will feel very pressure.

Yes I used to trade at work but I have never used my work computer to do it.
I only use my personal computer and my mobile phone to trade  for security purpose.
I don't want to risk my account and money on it,
We couldn't be sure that the IT of the company wouldn't find it out if they check all of the computer and all of the browser history.

I think it's a bad idea to trade where we work, because we will face some risks. As likely to be fired if caught by the boss, the use of
public wifi at work can cause our account to be hacked, usually the device at our workplace there are many viruses and malware, and when
trading will not be able to focus because our minds are divided by work in the office and this very dangerous can cause losses. So from that
I never trade at work.
Yes, our main job responsibilities will never be best fulfilled when the terrible concentration of trading will distract us from the work around, the only thing we care about is the prices and numbers, and unfortunately, supervisors see such issues, that would be a critique and deduction of our salaries, future results can be the influence on job advancement. The most negative point here is that our assets may fall into a public state with this connection, this community connection allows hackers to attack too easily, so sometimes observing market volatility is possible, direct trading is not recommended.

First if you are in work that computer is property of your company and that is not yours and all you need to do on that computer is related to your work. But if you do that on your free time it's good but make sure use your own device not in your company device.

I don't know the protocol of the company about what is the limitation that you can do to your work computer but others traders who work for sure arw doing trade at work.

I think that is not risky since there are a lot of applications that you can use for that.
What applications are you using?

I am talking about VPNs, there are a lot of them, I don't to list all of them.

Also, there are a lot of ways you can do to take care of your personal files or informations in your PC when you connect to wifi. From enabling firewalls to turning off your sharing capabilities. You don't need to limit yourself from this since that would also limit your profits. I know that alot of us are just taking care of it but this really depends on us.

i've done it several times. but the problem is i have to connect internet from a general wifi of the office. that makes me feel uncomfortable. i don't know everybody in the office and it looked kinda risky for me.

Why would that be risky?

Unless your boss or your officemates are hacking through your PC or phone. To be honest, I am doing that at work but I am not always trading. I trade when it is my partner's shift but when it is my time, I just check the movement or the price changes that are happening. I think that is not risky since there are a lot of applications that you can use for that.

You probably don't know how easy it is to intercept packets that go through wifi. Read about packet sniffers.

Also you never know what people have been doing on computers at work. There can be some spyware installed and you don't want some random coworker to know your password.

Why would that be risky?
You don't know what other people's thinking actually. There might be the evil users whose actually using your credential by using public wifi, that's wifi it's not recommended to actually enter your credential on public wifi unless it's trusted. There is always a risk on everything.

I think that is not risky since there are a lot of applications that you can use for that.

Using an office computer for trading is risky. You could lose your job for this. Because all the office rules are without official work, you can not do any other work with the computer. On top of that you have to think about the security of your assets. If you login to an exchange account using a public network, then your account may be hacked there. I have seen many such incidents. And that's why I use the exchange mobile app on mobile phone when I'm at my workplace.
Yes, It's too risky. We should not do that. Even we should not visit any other site which is not related with official works. I did not done trading on any other official computer even I did not use any others mobile/pc to do trade. But I remembered one day I tried to login bitcointalk on a centre where I did a Course.

Do you ever trade at work or trade on your work computer? Any reason why you think this might be a terrible idea?

I do trade at work but I don't trade on our work computer. I do all trading on my personal computer or on my phone. One thing that can make trading on my office computer a terrible idea is that, I may not be there forever and the system is not too secured for my account details, it could be invaded by anyone and could expose my account to hackers. Why I could even trade at work is that I am usually alone in my office so, I have some privacy
Having a good background with your company first and foremost you will think about securities of your account, the possibilities that being exposed or being hacked by the network admin is very possible. Work computer is not yours personally and every IT guy can check it out without your knowledge
so be very careful especially traders who have a huge amount of assets to protect, it's always better to use your personal devices and have all the securities that you need to protect your money.
