If I lived in a country that was culturally against gambling then I would be ashamed to gamble so I would probably move to a country that was more culturally consistent with my values. I would not do anything that I felt like I had to hide because it was socially unacceptable. I gamble but it's not socially unacceptable where I am located. I do not hide my activity but at the same time, I do not generally share too much of my accounting information unless it is necessary. I don't hide what I do, but I don't share what I do either.

Me too. I don't feel shameful for being a gambler. Some laws depending our country want to make us believe we must feel shame or something like this because we gamble, but these laws don't have the right to do this.

I'm a proud gambler (sports better). I make money from my bets even though it's not been consistent my wins far outweigh my loses and I feel proud of having multiple sources of income. Why should I be ashamed?
That's a great way to earn income. Maybe you have a lot of knowledge in sports, that's why you are successful there. I'm still learning on different things concerning sports betting and how teams are going to play. You should feel more "unsafe" rather than being shameful. It's illegal. You don't know if somebody's secretly watching you and already took a photo of you gambling online. He can blackmail you for that. He can make you do things, and if you refuse, he's going to turn you to the police. In the moral sense, one shouldn't be ashamed of gambling because there are worst people like rapists, thieves, serial killers, etc. When you're gambling, you're not hurting other people at all. In the long run, you might get some emotional or psychological issues but you still didn't hurt other people.

You shouldn't be ashamed of something you make profit from. It's nothing bad since some people have established it as a business and they are paying taxes to tge government and making profits from them.

It is your choice to gamble, so if you win or lose you should accept your fate. Do not feel sad when you lose, it is part of gambling. There is nothing to be ashamed of if you are gambling for fun. If it illegal, however, don't do it. You might get in trouble for doing it. Or if it is really illegal in your place, do it discreetly. Don't tell everybody you are gambling.
Only for the instance they decide to gamble they are coming in and never think about the consequences nor think about the legal issues of gambling. That is the reason they find gambling is disturbing their peace of mind after finishing up gambling with losses.
