In some countries where gambling are legal there people do not feel any shame for playing gambling, they even playing gambling without hiding it from their parents and other family member. While in some area where gambling is not legal there people cannot play gambling openly, in such areas people also feel shame to play gambling.

lol , there is no place/country that consider gambling are a fine thing. but some countries make gambling as legal activity and regulate it under government while some countries did not regulate and even ban gambling .

i guess that is what he means, and it makes difference to feel shameful or not.

Honestly not really. The gov can be completely okay with gambling and yet the society can be not.,

that is why i said ''there is no place/country that consider gambling are a fine thing, completely okay'' as country = the government + the society , no place where the whole society support or at least consider gambling as usual activity isn't it?

there will always a shameful no matter if you live in vegas or any other gambling center place.

A normal gambler who gambles only few rolls a day or once a week won't reach that point. The gambler who will reach that point are those who gambler most of the time and are willing to stake even their last meal. That is really shameful and even having a family member like that is shameful.

If gambling makes us change our lifestyle from a comfortable one to a lower uncomfortable one, and suddenly start to struggle to take care of ourselves or even start taking out loans that would be extremely shameful for me and should take that as a sign to quit gambling before I ruin relations with family and friends!

That's some of the reasons why we should be shameful to let other people that we are gambler. But if you are just a normal gambler that don't affect other people's wealth, trust and properties with your addiction then you are just fine and you shouldn't be ashamed to show to other people that you are a gambler otherwise everything seems to be fine.

its better to this mate, without disturbing anyone and use your own money there's nothing to be ashamed gambling in most gamblers mind its only for having some fun with good rewards if getting lucky so no matter what happen its you who's taking the risk of your money.

There is no sure way of always winning, that's just really a sad thing if that happens. You better not do anything with money especially if it's not yours. You would just make the fire grow, putting fuel in it. Don't be stupid and be smart in gambling. That's the right way.

Not on smart on gambling but be smart on your actions on how you gonna avoid on getting broke in the end.Theres no really sure way of always winning on playing gambling if it does have then there will no gambling sites at all.Using money which isnt yours is not really ideal and as you said dont put a fuel because it will cause the fire to grow bigger and you cant even handle to control it already.

No i never feel any shame on gambling because no one giving money for gambling. It's my money i am gambling, no one is ready to bear my loses. Winning are loosing will depend on luck, i am working very hard in my daily job, so i am finding my luck in order to make more money.

I think it's okay if you won the money and it's really yours to gamble. You should not be ashamed because it's for entertainment, but if it becomes addicting for you, then re-evaluate yourself on what you are doing and think if it's making you a better person. As long as you have enough money and which is not from illegal to gamble and you can moderate your gambling habit then you don't have to feel shameful but you should if ever you have neglected you are gambling your money despite that you are not earning too much and you neglected all your responsibilities to your studies(if you're a student), your family, your job, your kid's education etc.

In my personal Opinion gambling is a good way of relaxing. I am a full time dad and run my business from home. So I do spend a lot of time on gambling sites while i'm working because. Gambling is a very sociable thing and for something like me that doesn't have time go go out and hang out with adults because i have my kids most of the time it is a good outlet to connect with other adults and not to talk little kids all day or just handle meetings. In a way It helps me not be a mindless drone.

No not all people are thinking like that or feel shameful since some people are gambling because of their needs like gamble for fun and i think money is just a money you can earn that money again.. happiness you can not buy any happiness that you can get.. but the result can be addicted and abuse your self for gambling spent a lot of time instead doing of work he just gamble its not tolerated because its your self and its depends in your self if where you are happy..

The most shameful experience that you can get in gambling is when you start spending money that's not yours into those nasty games like dice, slots, blackjack... if at least you use it to train in poker and become better, but those are just wastes of money.

In any case using other peoples money is a sign of gambling addiction.
