Most likely they do. But if a millionaire loses $10k to gambling it is not as painful to him as for a poor man to lose $100. And this is very important to understand. Rich or poor, you should only stake what you can afford to lose. I hope some poor people who want to get rich through gambling read my post and drop the idea. Buy a $2 lottery ticket if you want to have that hope in your heart, but don't put dozens of USD at risk.

Just think of a situation that there is no money involvement into gambling. What will be number of people using it, for the purpose of fun or to get excitement. It is all about the money that is connected with the gambling activity that lets you to be more interested into it. Everyone are into gambling for money except few people who have got sufficient money, but for some sort of thrill and excitement they've tasted in gambling. Anyhow the money making process depending on luck is another factor that makes people show much interest, if it is much about learning and executing maybe there'll be less users around.

Not my intention to hastily generalize a specific group of people over a discussion on why poor people gamble, I'm just saying that those poor people who gamble, do so because they feel like they need to in order to win and make ends meet. I should've made it a lot clearer which is an honest mistake on my part. I don't agree that all poor people gamble, most of them don't have the capabilities anyway and the others that do, are either aware of the nitty-gritty behind the gambling industry, or are just not interested with it.

As for my "the whole system is rigged" cabash, it's not just about getting licensed or operating under legal jurisdiction. It's just that casinos literally rigged the system in their favor. Fun fact: we have been gambling for thousands of years but casinos didn't came to be until around 1638 or 1618 if I'm not mistaken. Back then people gamble with each other with no mediator, so one guy wins and another loses, casinos came in and change the whole game by introducing more features and less transactions with other players, not to mention house advantage.

So now instead of another person earning your pot when you lose on a gamble, it's the casino that's taking it, and at the same time, the house edge literally puts them at a priority higher than the player which if is not "rigging the system" then I don't know anymore.

I'm not saying this to throw shade at casinos or gambling sites cause heck I'm playing on these casinos too, but I'm driving the point of why poor people shouldn't gamble, and why rich people gamble. The poor gamble even if they couldn't because they believe it as a way for them to get that big break they're looking for all their lives, the rich knew that the system is rigged but plays anyway cause there's thrill in beating a system that's stacked against you.

Since everyone needs money, it does not necessarily mean that we gamble or we could gamble when we don't have money. Going into gambling should be based on personal reason with different goals. People can bet for different reasons but most time, we bet to increase or portfolio or the amount of fund that we have. Gambling is for the strong and those that have the urge to gamble even when they keep losing in the past. Since the aim of gambling is to increase our Capital, people will never stop gambling, rather the amount of people into gambling will keep increasing with time.

Actually it's not common to all,it happen to the person who ready to spend entire things in gambling.Which he get from the gambling,it's not the correct approach.You should use the money you get from gambling into the trading.Because,when you play the gambling with the positive emotion,you will deposit the high amount to the casino website.You also do the high bet,when you win huge amount in the previous bet.The poker itself enough to the person to win huge amount in the short period.But play the minimum amount of poker to avoid of loss.The worst move done by the gambler is,they will repeat the same game many time.If they gt huge amount of winning money from the certain game.This must be avoided by the gambler to avoid of big loss.   

Well, i want to believe we all live in different environmental settings with different categories of gamblers near us, I don't think the rich gamblers will be too much addicted to gambling because the larger percentage of those being addicted were the ones below average standard of living and they sole depends on gambling for a living, so rich gamblers will not have the expression of this attitude of being addicted in the because they are only doing it for fun and not to make money since they already have enough.

An interesting turn in all of this is that some people who became rich through gambling also became poor again through gambling. The story of these professional gamblers becoming rich was often sold to the public as if you put enough effort into it, you can become rich playing poker for example. But the reality is that some of those poker superstars who had been said to have become rich playing poker went broke later on. Is it because they had the tendency to risk too much from the beginning but gut lucky for quite some time? Or maybe there was a lot of manipulation involved and specifically in online games the tables were rigged in favor of some celebrities.

Shouldn't it be the reverse? You gamble because you have more money than you can spend so you just use it for fun? I mean I am not rich by any means but when I try to gamble I end up gambling with money I can lose, which means that I could also burn that money and I wouldn't have to worry about it, it's money I already gave up on. That is how I have fun, because it means I could still lose and not worry about it, so when you are not worried when you lose, that means winning means even more to you.

When you are gambling because you need money, winning is nothing, that's already what your aim is, you expect to win, that's what you needed but when you lose that's the opposite and you are going to be feeling very bad afterwards.

But some rich people deliberately play gambling for entertainment and like to waste their money playing gambling. That may seem silly to many people, but we're not saying anything because it's their money that they can spend on so many things. But lower class people gamble to earn money, and it's normal that they think so because they see real examples of people who managed to win some money. They see that the winner's lives change drastically after winning big money, so they try to follow it, hoping that one day it will be the time for them to win big money.

Observation can influence the success rate of sports bettors because if have good knowledge about a particular sports or let's say you're fan to a sports team, for example you view the Premier league weekly you'll know the strength of the teams, their performances and how well they stand a chance of winning or losing to their opponents, you'll always have record of their previous performances which would also help you in determining their chances of winning and that would help you in your predictions cause you'll know when the team is strong or weak bet on.
 different people gamble for different reason, gambling is not for the rich or poor, so far you acknowledge the risk in it and apply the risk management involved in gambling then you're good to go, but According to the OP's question it is not a good idea to gamble because you don't have sufficient money, because it means you're trying to double your money and luck might not come your way, that's why experts always advice that people should gambling with a spare cash, money you'll lose and not complain because you've got reserve, a poor man without a job or source of income should evem be thinking of gambling as an investment.

The rich and wealthy gamble too in their good number but we can't compare it to the lower class because the number of those in the upper class are very few. A lot has been said about the difference in number between the rich and poor in gamble, but I'll like to add that despite how majority of the poor class are into gambling it is the rich that are reaping we'll from gambling because they are like the whales in the market, they can afford a high betting power (amount) with little less risky odds that gives them leverage to easily win unlike the lower class with  a small amount to bet with accumulative odds just to increase their potential win. The rich don't need to accumulate the odds they only increase their stake power, simple.

There is a type of rich person that might be meant for example someone who inherits money from his parents so that the status of wealth is obtained from inheritance not from hard work, usually people like that tend to be more extravagant so there is the possibility of spending money on gambling just for fun, but for getting more money would not be possible because of course rich people already have more money, usually just gambling for fun, nothing more.

I think we all agree that most gamblers are more of the lower middle class players because they prioritize and target money from gambling, in contrast to rich people who only prioritize having fun wasting money on gambling. I have a friend like that sometimes he often gambles just for fun no matter how much money he spends and wins, but he is the son of a rich businessman so I don't think there is a problem as long as he has fun.

I think it is different. Rich people are more likely to refrain from gambling than poor people, that would be my intuitive guess. I mean it depends how someone became rich, but assuming it was through hard work, what is the chance that that person is going to gamble with amounts relatively high to their net worth? Whereas people who are stuck and are looking for ways to cut corners could more quickly get entangled in this web of gambling websites and the perfect strategy guide to become rich through gambling. A rich person can still gamble a fortune away, but is less prone to feeling the need that many people feel as a majority are not well set up financially. 

Rich people that gambling usually has a mindset on getting more money through gambling since rich people think all about money. There are many rich people that doesn’t involve in gambling and do some other things to spend their free time. Greediness on earning more can be experienced by rich and poor since human has no satisfaction on what they have that’s why they keep striving to earn money.

You can use Billionaires as an example of this greediness. They already have enough money to spend for their lifetime even without earning anymore yet they keep working just to earn more and maintain their wealth at top.

There's numerous reasons why individuals indulges in gambling, there are varieties of reasons to be given. Rich influential individuals often engaged in gambling activities, they triggered good options and see gambling as an recreational activities to passed their free time. It's very important to differentiate between gambling for fun and taking it as a means of survival. While the middle class or lower keeps searching for incomes from gambling, I find it to be ridiculous because gambling profits is not steady and not reliable, we counts losses and profits from the space daily.

Rich people are often addicted to gambling to pass the time, but many rich people including themselves in gambling either because of their addiction or to earn more money. But it may be different for poor and middle class people. They usually spend most of their time gambling to get rich or because of excessive greed. But there could be many reasons why middle class and poor people gamble more than rich people, but the most common reason is that middle class and poor people are more greedy and spend more time gambling to get rich and earn extra money.

I can't say for certain the percentage of the rich that gamble compared to the middle ad lower class, but I can say for a fact the rich gamble and it's not only because they're addicted to it.

Personally, the reverse is the case. I gamble when I have sufficient money. So I can say I gamble because I have sufficient money. Whenever I don't have money I don't think of gambling because they're other more important things that need to be solved, but when I have enough money and I got some to spare I gamble more.

As much as gambling is for fun, it is also done to get extra money and nobody is ever satisfied with the money he has so they'll always look for more. The rich want more, the middle class wants more, and the poor want more, so they all gamble because they want more money, not just the middle class and lower class.

Well you could be right, but know it that behavior matters a lot because most people (VIP) really comport themselves very well than the ordinary bettors although same possibility of losing one's funds and bet is applicable to them but, what I understand is that they don't showcase themselves as the middle class did. Yes we understand that Rich people lose game as well but the probability of them to maintain their certain level of bet is what makes a gambler has this titled "to be a responsible gambler" while those who don't often keeps to their standard are always regarded as an addicted gamblers where they fails to maintain their limits.

In gambling, money and wisdom doesn't matter as you said but what really counts is the ability for you to maintain either not going off their limits and stayed within their bands makes them to responsible gambler.

My view is different!

Initially, casinos were always seen as a luxurious and exclusive place for people who had a lot of money.
The intention of attending a casino was to have fun spending money and not the other way around (desperately gambling to try to get rich).

With gambling sites, obviously this has become something more popular and accessible to many people, which unfortunately attracted a lot of attention from people who saw gambling as an "opportunity" to earn money, but the intention is still the same: entertainment.

Many people (or maybe there are few) like me still play just for fun.

A good point bud, but just to maybe point out a few facts, rich people still get addicted to gambling, but good thing you said they don't show it, which means you agree to the fact that they do get addicted, I believe the reason why its hard to know when a rich man is addicted to gambling is probably because of their money, money covers up a lot of things, it is very easy for a poor man who is addicted to gambling to go broke and possibly roam the street begging his fellow guys for bread, but never will one find a rich man under circumstances, why, because the profits made from his chains of business is more than enough to cater for his gambling activities no matter how bad his addiction is , anything outside of this, maybe means such a person was never rich in the first place.
