Giving OP's initial question a little twist could be that we want to know whether some people deem gambling a source of income. Waw… but how sure are you that you will be able to double or multiple the amount you are intending to gamble with? We all know gambling is luck, even people that call themselves a professional gambler’s do lose, so how sure are you that if you gamble with the little capital you are having you won’t end up losing everything to gambling again. Lots of people with similar mindset like you have lost lots of money in gambling, because they believe they can multiply their money within a short period of time.

People are never satisfied with their win in gambling, the more they keep on winning, the more they will keep on increasing the amount they are gambling, which they don’t know they are already stepping into a trap, some of them are never satisfied with their win that’s why they ended up losing everything they have won again.

Yes, it's not realistic and however you play it is not an ethical thing to make a living in gambling, whether using small money or large money is not a place where you can get a consistent income from it.

I agree with you on lower middle class it is foolish to look for income from gambling because no one can say the exact source of income from gambling it usually depends on luck. There is no problem with the rich because they have a lot of wealth. Even if they lose gambling, their regret is less. But it is bad for the lower class as once the loss is not recovered. When a gambler participates in regular gambling, in most cases it becomes an addiction and the incentive to try to recover the lost money when they lose and earn more money when they win puts them further into losses and this cycle has no end. This is why there is a huge difference between the rich and the poor when it comes to gambling.

The moment a person gamble without enough money is a sign of irresponsibility. Disciplined people will not risk the money they currently have that's just exact for their necessities and the money they don't have to begin with. They won't bother loaning because they have set their priorities straight in order to avoid unnecessary troubles that may arise in the future for mismanagement of funds. There's a long list of consequences waiting to happen to those impulsive and irrational gamblers such as having financial crisis, being overly stressed, and falling into addiction. And those are just a few of the ticking bombs the time they decide to be greedy and follow what they want and not what's needed.

That's the first step to become a gambling addict because you're looking to make money through gambling when you don't have sufficient money. Maybe that money should be used for the next 2 weeks to feed your family, but since you think you can make more money, you're take the risk and very optimism you will not lose. But after 1-2 hours, you're lose all of your money and you're don't know how to recover your money when you're need that money for the next 2 weeks.

We all might have been in need of money in one way or the other that pushed us towards seeking for more secured means to see that we are better with life challenges and the next we could thought of was to use gambling as a quick means of getting the financial opportunity needed to meet up with our needs, we may sometimes end up getting some money and may not in some cases, but all we needed is to see that our motives arrived at a good destination by seeking financial assistance through gambling as the last resulted remedy to get money from.

As long as your target is not to reach a certain number of wins, you are still fine and can gamble whenever you want. But most gamblers have a target number of wins so they will try to achieve it. They know it's not easy, but they still try it in the hope that that target will be achieved after playing a few more times. But if we don't have money and want to make money from gambling, that won't be good for us because instead of making money, we can lose money and even spend all the money we have. So don't overdo it in setting limits so we don't have trouble achieving them.

IMO I think if you gamble alot the purpose may not be for just fun but for the purpose of multiplier. On the other side, if you are doing it for fun then you will be more relaxed and not gamble alot. People who do gamble for fun would do that for the enjoyment it gives them but they won't do that always that is the simple truth about it. Those who are wealth might do one or two gambling on their football ball teams with friends when they are on a drink but they won't allow that to be a daily phenomenon, those who gamble alot IMO are doing that for the purpose of multiplier effect.

I don't think it's like that, Rich people also lose a lot of money, I assume they use $10k as their base bet most of the time, and I also think that there are rich gambling addicts too who don't stop gambling at all and lose a lot of their wealth in it. We've always heard of stories where rich people gambled away everything they had, including their home and every other property, and now they have nowhere to go, so it happens with the rich too but it depends on their situation and condition.

However, that doesn't mean that a poor person should gamble to earn money, gambling is not a way to earn money at all. Most rich people gamble only to have fun, they might get addicted to it but that is not because they are chasing money through it but because they just gamble a lot.

You think gambling is easy to make money from? I don't think that way myself. The profit that is offered is the potential profit if you win. I know that people win in gambling but the percentage of the people who lose is more than those winning. You can know this from the little knowledge of people in your environment. If you rely on gambling to make your living, you may not get that absolutely, using small money to aim for big profit isn't realistic in a consistent way.
