It might seem that it will not make you addicted if you keep a bankroll management method. However when someone loses money they will try to make it back because it is their hard earned money and they would never want to let it go. Thats the biggest problem. They cant let go of their losses in gambling but they try to make it back.

When we run after the loss we waste more money and time. That why this notion is there that gambling is a waste of time and money. People have their opinions on it and its their personal judgement.

I think we could still gamble in our free time and we don't have to use gambling as the source for making money because there is no chance for us to get that money. All we can do play the game, enjoy the time and leave when the time comes. And if we can do this, I think we can prevent from losing too much money, and we come back in the other time, and we can play the other game. I think it's not a waste of money and time if we can manage our time and money so we could still enjoy the game.

That has always been the problem of a lot of gamblers. The reality is what OP has just stated, so it is left for you as an individual to either accept that reality and know how you can control yourself by limiting your approach to gambling, rather than trying to focus too much on winning. If you already know the possible outcome of something, the chances of not pushing yourself too hard will not be there. Unfortunately, a lot of people today came with the winning at all cost mindset which is why we have gamblers who are pretty prone to getting addicted today.

You rarely gamble and how much is the limit you have said? It's not a waste of time and money if you are going to have this cycle. But I doubt it that you can repeat and continue this cycle.

You have a way to ordain your free time with what you want and always do it before, gamblers also have the time to spend gambling. To do the thing you want and you are already an addict in that case, I guess you will put aside the problem of money, profit, or loss. Of course that i used to gamble for profit purposes before, because it was an easy way to make a huge amount of money (probability to double up in less than a second)

But once that you realize how bad it is, then you start being a little bit more sceptical and you dont want to risk that much. It is all a cycle

Well if it does give you a good time when you play with your friends then i don't think it's a waste. As long as you can afford the time and money you put into it and it gives you a good feeling. It only becomes a waste when you go beyond proper reason and you put in a little too much.

Yes, if you have fun when gambling with friends there isn't any waste on it. It's a pleasant activity like any other people do during their spare time. Some people like to go to the movies, nightclubs, malls, while others prefer to gamble (and on each of these activities you will have to spend some money anyway...). The important is to spend money with things you enjoy, even gambling.

I was gambling with faucet/airdrop money, then lost these small sums with dice and so I've not looked forward for other gambling sites/systems. BTW I keep watching the industry as I find the provably fair concept extremely important and necessary.

You have a good approach there, keep it up! I also prefer gambling to many kinds of activities which people normally use to loosen up a bit, and I really feel better and can work more productively after playing dice or poker for a while. And it doesn't matter whether I win or lose as long as the amount I lose during a day is less than 5% of what I earn in one day. In some cases I can lose up to 10% of my daily earnings, but I try to make that happen as rare as possible.

In fact, gambling can be "a waste of money and time", but it depends on you whether you make it as such or you make a harmless entertainment out of it.

You just have to treat the rake, which makes the odds look like they're against you, like the casino free that you pay to enter and play. They need these money to pay the dealers, clean the floors, pay the bills. It's a good idea to bet low and just have fun. You're going there to have fun, not to become a millionaire all of a sudden.
