I don't think I'm gambling addict, I only play occasionally and mostly for fun or when there are really important pots or bets, the game is not compulsive for me, if a period goes by without me playing nothing happens, I think the game in general should be fun and not addictive...
Most of the time I could stop myself if I want but of course there are times that I would get carried away and gamble as much as I want.
Those time would only happen if I am having too much fun due to winning but if I am losing my .oney I could just stop whenever I feel that I would just lose it all.
So it would depend if I am winning or losing it is easier for me to stop when I am losing.

The fun aspect is one of the reasons people get carried away or attached to their games, & never minding the consequences.
I would simply just play and suppress the fun/sad aspect during bets, so that I can make rational decisions and not controlled by emotions. The only games that are probably OK to have fun on are those you are good at and are very beneficial to you

In gambling it should have self discipline and self control in order not to lose at all. Before when I am into gambling I have no control during playing because of the eagerness to win even having losing big amount of money. That is normal already that there are some instances that you become greedy especially if you are winning. There are some gamblers there who can't stop themselves from gambling either they will win or lose. I have control over my emotions and it is the reason why I can say that I am profitable in gambling. I don't know if what you said was true or just a lie but for my observation of the players in gambling, plus the sharing of many people here, I can guarantee that most people can only lose, rather than profit from gambling. Besides, the control is always something that every player affirms before they start but after winning or losing, they begin to throw control outward, play along with emotion, find a sense of excitement and contentment, controlled as a defensive wall, we don't know when we will lose it in the face of an attack from gambling

People have different views and experience in gambling, in which, it would be their key factor on how they make decisions whether to stop or to continue gambling. We should not limit other people's choices or judge easily because, it is hard to truly understand someone inside. For me, I could always weigh what things are more important than gambling and not so I could clear my head and make a decision that would mostly benefit me more.

good for you since you can control your desire in playing and i am sure that you did not experienced being true addicted because the way you speak there is no marks of addicted. If you are addicted on gambling the only solution is spending more time with family, hangout with friends, this will keep you from gambling, it works for me.

When I win, I usually easily stop because I like to enjoy my winning and call it the day but when I am losing, it seems like there is something inside of me that prevent me from stopping, I feel that time that I should not loss, I need to win back my loses and stop when I win, that's kind of immature thinking I know but good thing I realize it overtime.

Happens randomly to me,,, either I keep playing when I am winning or keep playing when losing. So for the second bit, of course I have more experience busting but also I have busted because I kept winning more and more and got greedy. On the other hand I have had a very good run of luck more than a few times because trying to win more and I did:)

Good tip, but have you experience extreme addiction or just a slight addiction?
These two are really different, the extreme addiction is a more risky type of addiction and you will not listen to anyone, it seems like your master is gambling as you are always looking to gamble which is like you are obliged to do such thing, of course your family is a big help but it should be your family that will do an effort to approach you as you are addicted with no control at all, and hopefully we keep ourselves safe and let our family know about our gambling activity so they can help us when it comes we are in trouble like addiction.
There are a lot of people who cannot control when they are addicted to gambling especially those who already lost some huge amount of money. He always thinks that if he gets back to that place again, He can get what he has lost but honestly that's not always the case. more often, he lost some more money over and over again. The only thing to stop this kind of view is, to accept that you're not gonna get the thing you lost because its already gone. there are some cases that you've won some huge amount but that will only cover your past month losses. Some gamblers are gambling for some decades and some are through out their life they have been gambling. You can only recover your loss when you stop because you're not gonna lost some more.
