You can't just login to a bookie and gamble. You need some kind of strategy - even if you end up loosing a lot (most times) anyway  Wink.
I disagree. No amount of research is enough if luck is not involved and compiling everything into spreadsheets helps organize your bets, but this in no way means that you stand a better chance at winning and strategies don't insure the same either.

Exactly, if you are really into this business the best practice is to sort things out, if you are well aware of those expense money that you are using
you'll be guided to track the right patterns
It does help to an extent, but you will still need luck on your side in order to win. Organizing stuff is a feel-good technique and nothing more if you ask me.

I don't think that is really in need to track our gambling experience and have a list of it coz I don't make it nor I'd tried to have even before.
If I have a record of my losses since from the very beginning, maybe I can't imagine how much I spend in gambling without having any of it as a return. Maybe I have to regret seeing it which only gives us disappointment than rather enjoy our life in playing. Maybe it was a good idea for some reason but I'd rather than to do that because it doesn't make sense for me by then.

If I keep a track of money that I used and lose in gambling I will just feel sad on how much I lose LOL, hahaha. For me, gambling is for entertainment and a way to kill time and enjoy. Some people gambling for money to earn is usually lose, so I am just gambling for fun now, sometimes for money too but I am ready to lose that money and that's just my extra money. I usually lose in gambling and sometimes win so if I keep track on it I will just make myself sad considering that I could buy a lot on the money that I lose. Let's just enjoy gambling  Grin
Do not track anything in gambling because we have to be prepared to spend money casually in gambling, whatever we do every gamble will certainly experience the same risk of losing money by enjoying it, if we track it my money will be very heavy and sorry because It has done so big out of money in gambling so now enjoy gambling casually. Grin

Gambling is one of the ways to get rid of boredom in this pandemic because we are at home and of course we need entertainment by gambling online. Grin

if yes, how do you track it?
simples spreadsheets, physical notebooks or maybe some different way?

I am using different spreadsheets for every bookie out there. Once every month i migrate all my spreadsheets to my master-spreadsheet. This gives me a good overview of my wins and losses. It also helps me to track my bets and odds. If you trying to be a semi-professional gambler this is essential. You can't just login to a bookie and gamble. you'll be guided to track the right patterns, having tools like this allows you to minimize both your stay and the money that you are using each time
you are seeing that you do have losing streak and the outcome is not favoring you.

Why we track our record is just to know the reality, we are treating gambling like business where we tally our income and expenses, and as a businessman with a sound mind, when a business is already not profitable, you will be force to stop it to prevent further damage, same thing goes with gambling, you are likely doing the bookkeeping.
I don't think we should treat gambling like a business, in the end it should be fun, aside from those who see gambling as income. If you see gambling as a kind of income, then exact tracking of the income and expenditure is of course necessary.
For everyone else, it should be enough to keep track of your expenses so as not to run the risk of gambling taking over and sliding into addiction.

I can see some users suggesting notebooks and excel spreadsheets. But the real truth is something different.

As soon as you run this for a month or so you will realize that you are actually losing more than you are winning in a proper scientific evidence which you have recorded on your own. This will either have two effects:

1. If the player is an addicted gambler, they will deny the evidence/record and throw it away to continue gambling, hiding the fact that they are going broke.
2. If the player is a wise gambler, they will accept the losses and either move on or reduce their habits.

I guess thinking of a scenario that a gambler might be addicted will make this monitoring or tracking activity useless.

I don't have a specific amount that I will use for playing gambling, but if I want to gamble, I will send some money, for example, $10-$20, and it could stay in my account for at least 3-5 days. Perhaps, I only use $40 monthly, but it could be less if I don't visit a gambling site because gambling is another way for me to enjoy my free time. I don't see it as an investment because gambling can make us lose the money, and the chance to lose will be big than to win the money. But I already used some money as the investment, and yes, that was made some money for me.

I don't track my gambling because, as I said before, gambling is not my way of making money, and I gamble to have fun and enjoy my free time.

Everytime I gamble im using a spare money that left after budgeting our monthly expenses, I dont allocate an specific amount just to use for gambling since I rarely play.

Its not an investment for me because if you gamble there's no assurance if you can double your money or lose it.

Its very risky and should not be treated to earn decent amount because gambling is more on luck.

Seperating money in your needs is good because the is your primary priority that gambling but seperating a money needs to be bigger than the money you spend to the gambling.

Gambling is not really investment because anytime that money will have chance to gone once you lose in betting your money the investment too is risky but gambling is have a lot of risk.

Gambling is mostly luck but we can decrease the risk of losing money by using your skills and strategy to increasing probability of winning too.

Yes, I always try to record how much money I used for gamblimg.

I don't see it as an investment since there is no guarantee that I will win every time I play. The way how I track the money I used for gambling is simply I record it on an excel file including the date, its value and whether if I win or not.
There is a history of all your losses and wins in every game you are doing. So that you may see if you are progressing or you have always losing. Just keep on tracking so that you may change your way if ever you continue to lose. Then if your strategy is effective then keep it up. But always remember to control and manage all your assets.
Rather than viewing it in history, it is better if you will write it in a spreedsheet or in a notebook in order for you to jounal it. I like journalizing not only in trading but also in gambling. There are many advantages that we can get if we do journalizing. It helps us to identify our strength and weaknesses and able for to assess our selves. We can identify the strategies that have higher winning rate in order for us to make money in the market.

Uhmn, not really. I don't do records and I don't consider this as an investment. I usually look at it as a past time only. Playing while having fun, that's it.

When we register in a gambling site, you can simply look at your own profile with your own statistics so you may know how much is your profit or losses already. That's how I track my gambling status and not by spreadsheets or other way.

seperate ? you mean the deposit or the allocated funds intended only for gambling  ? no i havent try to do that because i dont like gambling my real funds or the funds that came from my hardwork ( salary from my job ) .

i can only gamble money that my friends give me or the money that i earn online ( sideline )  . in that way no hard feeling when i lost it all    .  no regrets because i can still eat and provide the needs of my family   . i dont see gambling as investment but as long as you bet or put any amount , that is simillar to investing right   ?

First and foremost, it is wrong to have it in mind or correlate gambling as an investment, it increases your drive and pushes you towards addiction.

Secondly, i always have a budget for betting, and i do not go beyond that, except i win consecutively.
Winning brings and unimaginative  joy and excitement.

I don't keep spreadsheets, it can cause depression if you witness a losing streak in gambling.

I'm just tracking how much I spend on gambling per month. That is also quite easy for me, I have given myself a budget for it, which is more like pocket money for a junior high school student Wink If this money is used up, I do not continue to play with it. But it is usually so much that I still have a few crumbs of BTC in the game accounts at the end of the month, of course, also depends heavily on how lucky I am when I play.

However, I am currently considering investing the money in solo mining, which is basically comparable to lottery or gambling. However, pocket money would no longer be enough for that, so I have some doubts ...

I don't recommend keeping a long record but a daily one is ok so you can track when to stop or better allocate a specific amount and don't add more, or it will become a habit that will make it hard to defeat, a long record is not good because you will see your total losses and you will be disappointed when you know that you can already buy a big bike if you save what you spend in gambling.
