The main site I gamble on, which is Yolodice, already has a detailed stats page and let's you download your roll history. I look at my stats each day to see how well I am doing and download my history every few weeks for my personal reference.

I am doing it in the past and I think it is not working for me but hear me out first.

I just gamble online for fun and I don't really need to keep tracks on a spreadsheet, all I do is to look in the histories of bets I did on that day. As I said, I am gambling for fun, I don't usually use fiat to gamble unless I am gambling in casinos. I am not addicted so I don't really need it. If you want to check yourself every time that you are gambling, better do a spreadsheet of it or keep track of the histories of your bets.

do you registerhow much you separate for gambling?
do you see it as an investment?
I understand that you are questioning about how much money people here are allocating for gambling purposes and spending money for gambling is an investment for a fee for entertainment? I never have a budget for gambling anymore as I have already lost big money in gambling. From my own experience, gambling should not be considered as an investment opportunity hence expecting a return for the money you gamble with, will definitely lead further big losses as you may start chasing your losses if you consider entire gambling as an income stream.

if yes, how do you track it?
simples spreadsheets, physical notebooks or maybe some different way?
When I was an intensive gambler I do track my all gambling activities with a spreadsheet. Because, I gambled at least 5 different gambling houses at a time with different strategies; to keep track of my bankroll and strategies, I needed some references and from that I developed the habit of tracking them with a sheet.

But, I suggest everyone NOT to go in gambling into a level where you need a spreadsheet to keep your records. Just gamble with your least affordable money and then forget it regardless of you make profits or not. Again start as a new gambler with fresh mindset yet with least money and enjoy your gambling and leave it for some time and then repeat!

I often use spreadsheets as well as it can easily visualize the current holdings I have in gambloing platforms I use and prefer. Tracking it wasn't difficult if you would log each and every bets and transactions you made so in the mean time or in your spare time you can analyze where did you lose and how did you won. Gambling doesn't require tracks ifyou are just focused on a single platform or a single gambling medium.

I do keep funds separate for gambling, but i do not keep track of everything. It's just a waste of time to track how much you win and how much you lose ( Also i know very well that i lose more than i win  Tongue ).
I play gambling for fun with less funds so i don't care to keep track for it.

Can anyone recommend any good gambling tracking app (paid or free) for Android or PC? I used one about 3 years ago, but I forget what it's called, and is it even active anymore...

Whenever I have spare from my salary I set them as for my miscellaneous activities for partying, going out on weekends, drinking, or even gambling. So, I don't have any amount specifically set aside for gambling. I don't keep track of how much I have spent on gambling because my aim is to enjoy and relieve stress if I would list down all off the amount I have lost I might feel disappointed.

Wish for the rain? Then deal with the mud too.
do you see it as an investment?
How can someone think gambling is a kind of investment? Does it guarantee you profits or the amount of money?
I never see it as an investment, gambling is a game and the prize is just a bonus. I suggest everybody to not rely on gambling for the future dream. You are better to put your money on Bitcoin or other potential coins.
Talk about differences, this guy was totally different among the other gamblers out there. I see him as an exceptional one, betting his whole life in it. Here's his thread: [AMA] The Life of a Professional Gambler. Try to look on his point of view about gambling, I bet you'll see him as an exceptional one either. I never thought that there were such thing as professional gambler till I see his thread. Don't get me wrong, I don't suggest to rely on gambling, either. It is just that there were amazing people like him who see gambling in different way, I never thought someone would.

Keeping a track of your expenses is always a good idea but you cannot call it as an investment. It is an expense wherein you lose more and gain less.

It is always a good idea to keep a track of the amount you have spent in gambling. I do not do it as I am not into gambling full time. I gamble once or twice in a month and now days I do not feel  like doing it because of the present situation.

Tracking your loses will only give you a headache but if you are going to use it as your basis to quit your gambling addiction someday then it is good to create a spreadsheet or any form that you are comfortable with. In my situation, one of the game that I play have the statistics that will give you the details on how much you have win/loss within a day,week,bi-monthly,monthly and yearly so I can say that I also saw how much money that I already loss to that game.

I didn't consider it as my investment so I don't mind whether how much I loss in every time I gamble as I always put a limit when I gamble and when I hit my limit then I stop immediately.

I don't take loans, ask for sig if I ever do.
Accounting. Isn't that quite simple? Well, that is if prior to gambling you actually do list all of your expenses and the like. I like to keep everything organized and everything planned, down to the last detail so I always take not of every expense that I made during the entire day as well as profits made. I have a little notebook where almost one page is for one whole day only (depends on the number of changes that happened), and I basically list everything there. Payments made, expenses made ( and for what purpose ) profits made and where they actually came from. I tried using spreadsheets but it didn't' really stick to me so I went back to writing it in my little notebook.

No.
No.
I dont have to look at it as some investment because if I do, I want become broke already. Maybe a few gamblers put their bets on spreadsheets to track their wins and losses. That probably someone who made gambling as his main living.

I'm not tracking my gambling bet history as I only focus on my winnings. But it doesn't mean I don't care.

Listing those are fine but I don't see how important it is. Those losing will just affect my future strategy and will bring me down.

But if ever I like to look on my past bets for maybe calculating how much I won or lose, as long as the sports betting sites remained active, I can check my betting history at any time.

Maybe I will consider to use it someday. For now, I never use any physical notebooks or simples spreadsheets to track gambling. I don't gamble regularly, just play gambling when I have time. At least, it is not necessary to use now because I am still not a professional gambler and haven't much time to gamble.

I don't list all of the deposits i've done from different casinos I feel like it's too much effort since you have to update it constantly. I slightly see it as an investment since you could always withdraw if you win but at the same time I don't take it too seriously since I always expect my deposits to lose. I somewhat track mine by just remembering the starting bankroll or do a small recap of all the bets i've made for the day.

I don't track my gambling and if I did I would likely to use spreadsheet if online and notebook  if I want the record to be physically written. Tracking your gambling history could give a negative impact like getting more addicted to gambling to recover the lose funds which gonna lose again.

Not necessarily but I can consider.

And definitely NO, I don't treat my gambling activity as an investment even without a doubt, already earn and lose a decent amount of money since I started doing gambling even prior to the existence of crypto. Funds meant for gambling have its own allocation so win or lose it won't affect my daily spendings. I just need to make sure that I will win every bet.

If ever I will track it, spreadsheets or just a piece of paper is enough. But as I said, not necessary.

So far, I didn't track my gambling activities but just limit how much funds to use monthly. I think it is not really needed to do (tracking) because playing gambling isn't something to expect much about the results (prizes/earning money). I mostly played gambling for fun or just try attempts without any serious goals. So, I don't think I need spreadsheets or notebooks to track it. In addition, you mustn't think it is an investment since you won't get regular income from gambling. No one can win regularly and at every attempt, also you can't predict when you get the prizes. It is strong reason to not consider gambling as an investment.

Who loves tracking out winnings or losses in gambling? That'll only create a stress on your edge.
What's more important is that you didn't become broke af. Most of the gambler around here has not been recording anything from the very beginning they gamble. Take it as an extra reward/income when you win when gambling or a toll for having a pleasure when you lose.
Nevertheless, when you are a responsible gambler, you know It's just an excess money out from your household budget.

-No
-No, gambling is never been an investment unless if you invested money with the house itself.
-Tracking is just a bad idea because this thing will just trigger out bad things likes chasing losses and get stressed out because you've lost too much.
Gambling is for entertainment and if you do list things up on how much you do spend then you are seeing gambling on a different thing which is bad.
