I think it would but it maybe not in the next 15 years,
But who know's we don't know what would happen.

Nobody really knows what is going to happen in the next upcoming years. But I don't think so that bitcoin will ever replace fiat or dollar soon. The foundation of the economy of each country is depending on its fiat or dollar so I guess they will not risk their countries economy for a decentralized type of crypto currency.
Yeah , everyone is just entering in the bitcoin only for fiat . And here doller is a most famouse fiat , So chances of replacing fiat by bitcoin is about impossible . But still it happened that use of doller became down due to bitcoin , Because if bitcoin got speedly increasing its publicity according to as current time then surely most of the people of the world will attract toward bitcoin instead of doller at world wide range .
But still all the prediction forsuch types of things are only time pass because the current position and reputation is under some doubt's for some countries to use bitcoin , Only few of countries accepted bitcoin as the legit money but some of the countries banned it and rest of them are confused to declare what about bitcoin

We will see bitcoin massive adoption  Wink
Even on that year, Still bitcoin can't replace the dollar because fiat currencies are powerful kind of thing and most of us used to that kind of currency and it will be nearly impossible or safe to say "impossible" to replace dollar because its been here for years and nothing can beat that even a cryptocurrency like bitcoin. But we're sure that after 2020 the bitcoin will receive a lot of adoption which can helps for bitcoin to be accepted in different country but not to replace their national fiat currency.
I definitely agree with that, bitcoin's popularity is not as big as dollar's achievement. Remember that what we are thinking is to replace dollar which is created by the government, this would is absolutely run by the government and whenever they make a law, we follow. That is why I don't see any good reason why bitcoin should and will replace dollar.
As mentioned bitcoin is now getting more and more popularity but it has not reached at least 25% of dollars popularity. The growth of bitcoin is found high as well reaching peaks in a short, but dollar took historical years to get such a position. Also this long year history has given it the sustainability, so bitcoin won't replace dollar soon or after a long time.

its just a thought even me i all thought bitcoin gonna place dollar soon but i realize and i made some research how can change dollars into usd when the price of bitcoin are depending on usd dollar first thing comes into my mind is dollar is the most use money in physical things and into other country but bitcoin is the only use is digital currency how can bitcoin change dollar if we can't even use our bitcoin to buy in physical things yet.

Bitcoin cannot replace the United States of America Dollars (USD) and the main reason is that bitcoin is not yet accepted in the mainstream. Another thing is that even if bitcoin is already in the mainstream it has no capacity to replace dollars due to the number of bitcoins in circulation which is lesser compared to the number of dollars in circulation. Possibly if there is an increase in the number of bitcoins it will be possible but many will disagree since that will cause the price of bitcoin to go down tremendously.

Yes I think so, dollar is going down

How can you be so sure about this? Ane reference on what you are saying? What is it based on? There is not a guarantee that dollar is going down mean while bitcoin price is rise and replace it because there is still many currency that have potential to beat dollar too. So for now bitcoin is still far more to go to replace bitcoin although its price is unbelievable high

Yes, I also believe that the dollar will remain stable, and Bitcoin will become popular. But, despite this, cryptocurrency not be able to replace the dollar. Cryptocurrency will be used as an alternative currency
in fact dollar is one of the most stable currency of the world. because most of the big countries of the world are supporting  but bitcoin is a new currency and and its users are also not too much therefore i also do not think that bitcoin will replace dollar so easily.

"So easily" lol

Bitcoin won't replace the dollar, I know it might be hard for you to tell the truth or maybe even accept the truth. The dollar is far more ahead than Bitcoin is...Why do you think that Bitcoin is called "Bitcoin"? It definitely doesn't have to do with information of money transfers only. Bitcoin is based off the USD so without that currency then Bitcoin would be obsolete, the world is literally using USD -you have to open your eyes on this matter.

Bitcoin isn't used in wars as much as USD...Reputation means everything when it comes down to transferring something.

I agree with you and with that I can say it is really impossible for Bitcoin to replace USD.  There are lots of legalities and rules that contradict Bitcoin features as a currency.  One of which is decentralization and we all know that government always wants authority and centralization.

You are looking at it from the wrong angle

It kinda seems that you assume that the government is there for ever and it can't be changed no matter what. But this is obviously not the case, since governments have been forcefully changed throughout the whole history of humankind. Ironically, Bitcoin is in fact more stable that any government (and thereby any fiat that it happens to print), at least to external factors. if it should die it will most likely happen due to internal factors, not through some external action

My theory is, USD in the future will go digital just like bitcoin but bitcoin will not replace USD, it will just thrive alongside with it. More stores will accept bitcoin payments though and credit cards will disappear. Bio chips would be used in place of credit cards. I think the government would accept bitcoin then.

Good point about btc going alongside the dollar for better usage for people. Though i think what you said about credit cards being obsolete is a bit difficult to realize as i think credit cards would also be a part of the digital market that we're all headed to. I think in the future, people will have a lot of options to do monetary transactions depending where they're located and availability

I honestly don't think it'll happen, certainly not in 15 years... In 100 years maybe?

I don't think the problem is technology- we already are extremely close to being able to replace the dollar in that matter, due to smartphones[1]. The problem lies with government control of money, and the legal guarantee and security (stability-wise) that it brings. If smartphone technology becomes cheaper, I think we may see countries with unstable dollar value using it more[2].

[1] How does the use of smartphone would make bitcoin replace dollar? Smartphone is owned by almost everyone. Even older people that used to hate technology are loving their iPads nowadays. I don't see any strong relation between bitcoins and smartphones. If anything, it's because smartphones allow you to have a bitcoin wallet. But smartphones have so many uses that one efficient use of it is covered by another depending on the priority of the user.

[2] There are actually really really cheap smartphones on poor countries. Here's a 4 dollar smartphone featured by Unbox Therapy. You can throw it away and not worry about anything. When it goes low battery, you can simply buy a brand new one. Grin

Coinbase CEO believes bitcoin will replace dollar within 15 years.

Read the following news:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114983/coinbase-ceo-bitcoin-will-replace-dollar-within-15-years

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?

For what significant happening now is that bitcoin is getting in good development in terms of internet technology. And I cannot say bitcoin can replace dollar, It maybe or maybe not it is in the hand of the people community all around the world if they like that to be happen. But bitcoin is not actually competing any business in this world but to help  mos of the business in the entire world.
