Im not so sure about that. If so, maybe its way too far to happen. Paper currency is the one rolling whenever weneed to buy, booked  or whatever we need. Cash is important whenever we go anywhere because there establishment that dont accept credit card and there are contries that are not aware of credit card or they dont use it. So i guess dollar will bot be replace yet.
Yes for sure because now more than half of the countries are using the bitcoin and the value of the bitcoin is now increasing because of it is the need of the time that it is the time of the new technologies and the best things will come into being so for sure the bitcoin will replace the dollar and in the coming age all the people will use the bitcoin and the other crypto currencies this will be the best time to have the bright future with the bitcoin.

Many countries are using dollar as their currency for a long time already and it will not that easy to replace especially a digital currency. Bitcoin will not replace dollar in 15 years or even 20 years.

We all understand that the dollar is the strongest currency of the world for now, I'm sure that it will be hard bitcoin to replace the dollar in the near future, otherwise it would be a big problem if the dollar is replaced bitcoin.

Bitcoin can't replace the dollar, because it is a digital currency and it is even banned in some countries. Now bitcoin is even more like an investment because of its high cost and rapid growth.

I don't think so, and it doesn't needs to replace dollar to improve its status and secure its future. Bitcoin is different in dollars though they are the same in terms of being a currency bitcoin is decentralized and has a different structure and way of storage. I believe bitcoin will pave its own way with ever flourishing market as it does today.

Bitcoin and dollars are two things which are far apart from each other. Dollar which is ongoing currency or paper currency and many developed countries are entirely dependent on dollar while on the other hand bitcoin is the online currency and acceptable all over the world except few countries who banned it. So the two currencies are totally different and are not comparable to each other. Bitcoin being so successful does not mean that it would replace dollar because the most developed and powerful country, the UK would not let this happen. Bitcoin is a separate and unique currency and has its own place in market and could not be compared with dollar or any other paper currency

I don't know if bitcoin can replace dollar. And i don't think if the government will allow bitcoin to replace dollar. Paper money is a big part of our daily life. So it will not be replace by bitcoin or any crypto currency.

maybe no not in 15 years bitcoin will not replace dollar in that years, if bitcoin keeps increasing until 15 years maybe some people will not use bitcoin anymore because of the high transaction fees. I prefer to still use fiat than bitcoin, for me bitcoin is investment.

I read many post in this thread and I found out that 99% is saying it is impossible that the bitcoin will replace dollar. I think it is true, bitcoin cannot defeat dollar because dollar is the global currency.
- That is an indisputable fact, bitcoin is just a virtual currency, even the person who created it has also disappeared, although it also has a large number of supporters behind but that still is not enough, it's still not too popular and create the trust for many people around the world, governments of countries around the world will not accept and they will not allow it to replace their currency. Especially the United States, a country can say is extremely strong, they are the people behind the dollar, their currency can be said to symbolize their country, so they will not let bitcoin replace their currency. The dollar is still the most popular and has the most users, between bitcoin and dollars, I believe many people still prefer the dollar, it creates trust for the user.

Well Only time will tell, but that's not gonna happen any soon though.
That may happen but not now. There is a long time for this and you will be needing much more power and energy to work and then changing the whole world from dollar to bitcoin. And for this, especially you have to work in developing countries where there is not even a single name of bitcoin and neither people want to get into this virtual money. So yeah. it takes much time.

Why does he even think like that in first place. It is the price difference and exchange capability of bitcoin and fiat currency which us making is rich. If that gets replaced with one currency then how we can get the profits or how we can differentiate ourselves with that price tag. I think it's not possible because it's just not well possible! There can not be two sun in the single solar system, it will burn the life. So there can not be two currency otherwise it will just break down the economy of country. The dollar bill is something related to traditions, old ways of trading and it will never get replaced in any time soon. Bitcoin is perfect fit in the internet world and might not just fit in the real world. So may be not this time.

While I do agree that two currencies cannot be the main currency of a country, I don't really agree that the world is all about tradition. The traditional way might be sending money with dollars. The traditional way might even be physical fiat but that's clearly not the case anymore. In this modern age, people don't really embrace traditions that much anymore. People seek something new everyday and bitcoin is something new. It's only a matter of time before bitcoin gets considered as a "cool" thing and people will follow the trend. These days, people are into bitcoin because of the ridiculous gains it had given us in the past couple of months.

Another thing, I do agree that bitcoin cannot be the main currency of a country together with their local currency because bitcoin is not taxable. The country will have no funds and so they will be forced to ban bitcoins (which is quite hard to do, impossible even) or put a huge percentage of tax for fiat currency users, which will then of course force them to use bitcoins instead.
I think yes because of the decreasing value of dollar and increasing value of bitcoin. All over the world many people use bitcoin instead of dollars any especially those people who works online even with the US Company from their homes.

The companies often pay their remote employees in bitcoins and not in dollars. The reason is easy transactions and worldwide use. All these things will remove dollar from the market.
It is not a big deal for bitcoin to replace not only dollar but so many other currencies as well. But the thing is, it will not be possible till the time the governments of different countries declare bitcoin as legal currency. This is the only hurdle in the way of bitcoin which is keeping it little less popular than that of dollar. I am very much sure that in the future, things will be in very much favor of bitcoin.
Even though the government will declare bitcoin as a legalized currency then it will not be enough for bitcoin to replace the fiat like us dollar and other currencies because just imagine if bitcoin will become the world's currency, do you think that it will be able to supply all the people based on their demand and do you think that they can use it properly if the price or value of bitcoin is not fixed so those are the questions that needed to be realized by the people who want to replace the fiat with bitcoin.
I agree with you if it becomes and replacement for dollar it won't be able to make it far because there are only 21 million and right now the us has more that 21 million people so it would never be like this impossible to compare those two together.
You are right on the fact that you cannot compare these two because one is online money and the other is real life money you cannot kill real life money and then everyone would pay with online money i do not think that will ever happen at all.
Same goes for me i do not think it is possible how can something online replace something in real life and also it is not possible because very few people know about bitcoin how would people even use it if they do not know about it.
Yes i agree with you i do not understand why people are comparing bitcoin to real life things like dollars and gold how are these the same there is so much difference in both of them one is real life and the other online on your PC.

yeah, it's transparent decentralized monetary system, more efficient, more secure, permissionless and accessible.. even with Satellites, no doubt just matter of time, once we see more mainstream products that abstract the complexity of the tech into simple, smart, and transparent products. I believe CommerceBlock will push to that as well Wink

It is very difficult because dollar is still very strong and more people are using it then they use bitcoin. So i think that bitcoin needs more time and more users to become very strong first.

After that when nearly everyone knows about bitcoin then it can maybe replace but that is in the future.
