I think every country needs a traditional currency. Bitcoin now does not fit into small payments because of the high value. Traditional currency is still the right choice for small payments. Therefore, bitcoin can not replace paper money.

I agree there may be paper currency for separate countries separate currency. But I am sure this digital currency especially bitcoin will replace the paper currency for sure.Increasing in Investors day to day may make this happen.

It can not be stopped that the future financial system will embrace digital monet and cryptocurrency so that it will make the use of paper money continue to decline and will slowly disappear.
Digital Currency can make a large influence in regular money though I am sure that it won't be any threat to it.

Well, there is a possibility, but for me i think it wont be happen, because not all people can use digital currency because they dont know how to use it, and many people can't afford to buy mobile phones and internet.

Not everyone now can use a digital currency. I think paper money will continue to exist to be used as governments control that, they won't give it up just like that.

Personally I say yes as our society becomes increasingly dependent upon technology, digital currency will become a more popular means of paying for different things and it is more effective and instant. I haven't used much physical money in the past 8 years and I rarely had any problems with that.

What do you guys think? Wink

Yes, we are almost depending on technology. And right now some pf us almost rely on it interms of theor living. But saying this could effect the use of money, well my opinion would be this won't. Some don't know what bitcoin is. This factor could affect of losing a chance for this hypothesis. Not umless all of us would know what it is.

I agree to your opinion that most of us almost depend on technology. And yes, bitcoin is part of it. So you mean we are also to rely on it? Bitcoin and money has different functions, although they are botg used in transactions, I don't think one of it must be voided. Not unless it is functionless or the time would come it is all be exchanged by cryptocurrecies.

I think not, in because the paper currency is not limited to the difference of the internet so that it can be used anywhere with offline circumstances
in contrast to the limited digital currency with the internet

There is a possibility that it can happen. Since technology has penetrated a part of our lives, then it is likely that paying in the future would be virtual as well.

For paper money to be banished, there must be reliability at least 100% of these coins, and that ... I doubt it will happen

Society is already abandoning paper money..

Not for crypto, but credit card and debit card usage is becoming more and more common.
How many people even use cash any more in the first world countries? Most people have cards and most places accept cards. Paper money is dying

With technology nothing is impossible. Before there are predictions that we can talk to someone with each other face to face into a screen and now we have video call. Technology is crossing the limits of what human can do but machines can do it. People wants transactions to be safe and easy and convenient the same as we talk so there is a chance that digital currency will replace paper money.

Take note that Digital currency are different with cryptocurrencies but the idea is the same.
“Take note that Digital currency are different with cryptocurrencies but the idea is the same.” I agree but the thing is people will trust say PayPal more than Bitcoins cuz one of them is a cryptocurrencyand other is USD.

According to me, NO.  No kind of money can replace other. Instead of massive growth of virtual money, physical money has its own place. Yes I agree with the thing virtual currency could replace money to major extent but not completely because still there are millions of people who even does not have reach of internet and even the virtual currency has not been centralized by the government, so if virtual currency would ever replace physical one then it would take few decades  Smiley
Good answer, banks exist but do ALL places take debit and credit cards? No. Paper money needs to go but it wont go away that easily

YES!
Now a days more people make payments using their devices because it is so easy and convenient to use, they don't need to fall in line to pay bills or shop to the nearest store, with the help of cryptocurrencies our payments is become more easy, because of the skyrocketing innovation of technology almost the impossible ideas in the past is now possible which is the idea of replacement of paper money into digital currency is not impossible, this process of replacement may need more years or decades to be implemented. So let's see what will happen in the future of our currency.

I think digital crypto-currencies cant replace paper money. Why? Because unlike paper money, digital crypto-currencies cant be use without an internet connection. How could you use virtual currency without internet connection it is not possible at all. Also crypto-currencies arent reproducible again unlike real money central banks could just print another batch. And we have to accept the fact that not all people are having positive insights about crypto-currencies more of them are still preferred to paid into paper money. It can be possible I think if the whole world is connected and every single person has an account or digital wallet. Smiley

Digital currency is still not feasible to replace paper money. Why? Because globally people still use paper money to transact, although now little by little some banks have introduced a money-saving card, of course, that is digital that serves to civilize people to switch to digital money. However, it is also not very efficient because people are still comfortable with paper money so as to replace the digital currency notes is a difficulty that some digital money service developers have to cope with.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
Paper money is almost out of sight in modern societies, but it's not quite replaced yet. In third world countries it will take a lot more years before It's replaced, although it would come in handy with the bags full of bills that you would need to buy simple things like groceries. In some countries paper money can already be replaced, but in some other countries it will not happen, not in the next decades.
When there is a big inflation like in Venezuela you have not too much of an option if you do not buy with digital money you need to bring bags of bricks of bills that are not worth a thing, this scenario is being partially hidden by digital currency since you are not seeing that as often as you should.
