If at all if ETF is approved then we would see more investments and more price hikes in bitcoin and would rather see a huge spike in the price when wall street get involved into bitcoin as they really know how to manipulate the price and i really do not want that to happen .Hope we wont see many regulations put in place for bitcoin.

I think that most "big names" that know about Bitcoin have already invested in Bitcoin already. Seeing how Bitcoin price is sitting at more than 1000 USD per coin, anyone who tech-savvy people who are aware and believe in it would have already join us.

Maybe there is still a few that know about Bitcoin but haven't invested into it because they feel that Bitcoin price is too high for them to start or they want to start their own cryptocurrency. Some tech-savvy people who believe in Bitcoin Blockchain, may start their own Blockchain-alike system instead of supporting its root.

George Soros is too smart to reveal his position bitcoin if he had one, so we can never know.

He probably thinks his investment wouldn't benefit if he revealed it now, he wants to keep accumulating more cheap bitcoins, he knows that if he officially gets on bitcoin, news would hit mainstream press and price would go up: bad for the accumulation phase.

Well his type of investor will always keep his investments secret and probably it's his strategy to say that he doesn't have any interest of bitcoin.

Despite of knowing that he is already there and starting to make his own portfolio, maybe it's still too early too reveal this.

We will see in the future regarding his position with bitcoin investment.

The two names you mentioned Soros and Warren won't because they don't have the computer background.
What a relationship about having the computer background and didn't have a computer background? Although won't have a computer background and his money are worth billion dollars.  Tongue

I think many of them have already bought a few coins, but not too much.
From their point of few, a few thousand dollars is not much worth mentioning.
Warren Buffett is an exception, I do not think he owns bitcoins.
He has some guidlines in his investment strategy that can not be combined with bitcoins.
For example he always asks, if the management is rational. I do not see much of a bitcoin management.

That is what I believe also that many of them included already bitcoin in their portfolio but not too much. Businessmen / investors are always on the look out of new opportunity. They did not want to missed the opportunity  and since bitcoin is gaining popularity, they see a bright future in it. Since virtual transaction is also growing, a bitcoin is a perfect virtual  cryptocurrency to invest with.

Yes in their first buy but you forgot to mention the possibility that they are increasing their bitcoins . Why? Of course when you invest into something, You should be updated to it . Some of them just can't declare it to the public because their name is on the line . Here are a list of the famous people who supports bitcoin: https://www.oddsbusters.com/en/bitcoin-gambling/interesting-facts-bitcoin/rich-famous-people-bitcoin/ . I think that If more of them declare their support on bitcoin, It will once again increase iits popularity

Guys like George Soros are too smart to not see the importance of bitcoin, but are they too old to get it?

I know that Warren Buffet said a couple years ago how bitcoin makes no sense, obviously showcasing how old and deprecated his investing decisions are when it comes to cutting edge technology.

But I can see guys like Soros getting involved and learning about it and secretly taking a position.

I can also see Donald Trump, which has appointed bitcoin guys in his team, holding some in his portfolio already.

When the ETF passes, I can see tons of Wall Street people joining in as well, with some serious investments beyond for testing purposes.
We never know soros and buffet have bitcoin or not if you know about soros, he can rich because he's the greatest speculators in the global financial markets.

These sort of news are regulating for a really long time. They are old business magnets and with the age and judging by their interest i am not sure they know about bitcoin in the first place. People who are interested in technology and the people who follow these new ways of sending money might know about bitcoin and these rich mongers might not know those things.  Cheesy

I dont think so, they are very critical in money aspect. Maybe today they are investigating about it, they creates team to develop studies about this currency, they will not easily to invest . But when they think that this gonna be worth I think they will spend a lot of money to this. and this gonna be popular

I don't have an idea with this guy but I know that investor will always be on his name and he can regain and always change his statement.

I know that Warren Buffet said a couple years ago how bitcoin makes no sense, obviously showcasing how old and deprecated his investing decisions are when it comes to cutting edge technology.
The same thing with George Soros, he can also change what he said and just go with bitcoin quietly.

But I can see guys like Soros getting involved and learning about it and secretly taking a position.

Since he is valuing freedom, for sure that he will go for bitcoin.

I can also see Donald Trump, which has appointed bitcoin guys in his team, holding some in his portfolio already.

I do believe that Trump will go for bitcoin and he has knowledge with it already but don't have enough time with his current presidential work.

When the ETF passes, I can see tons of Wall Street people joining in as well, with some serious investments beyond for testing purposes.

And other investors as well, they do trust those big names.

I think they already invested ,they should know what is the popular source of income nowadays , because if not somebody will take care of that and they will push down in the lime light. They should know first among others, because bussiness is bussiness, if you walk slowly you will be lost but if  you run fast you will reap the fruits of your work very much

Most billionaires focus on what they have backgrounds in whether it be real estate, finance, world markets, media, etc.

Its doubtful they would invest in things like bitcoin they have little knowledge or background in.

It is unclear if Trump is into bitcoins. We all know that he is a businessman but talking about his interest in bitcoin has no relationship with him being a businessman. But there is a possibility that he is into bitcoins the same with his disinterest with bitcoin. But let us just hope that there will be a time that Trump will purchase billions of dollars worth of bitcoins and at the same time declare that the US government will support the use of bitcoin on daily basis.

It maybe unclear but many are saying and speculating that he is. Interest in bitcoin relating to his business mind, I guess there should be a relevant relationship with it. And also another thing is that I'm thinking that he can see the potential of bitcoin that can boost the economy of US since there are people living there that are supporting bitcoin.

Do you have any reference about i have read the US government planned to acquire blockchain technology and two months before they had meet and US commerce department went to blockchain and discussions were around 2 hours. Check in google for further reference about it.
to me i do not have any knowledge about that. but if it is reality then it will be a good decision and it will be in favour of bitcoin and hope that with this decision bitcoin will become more and more popular and people will put more trust on bitcoin.

I just read it somewhere here on forum. Maybe you can try to read this news http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-blockchain-trump-go/
I'm thinking that Trump is truly doing something already with the possible research with blockchain / bitcoin to be specific.

Fair enough, so we can consider that Trump has a role in ETF decision : Attendees of the event included the acting chairman of the CFTC, J Christopher Giancarlo (via teleconference), who has embraced Trump’s 'Make America Great Again' slogan as part of his own agency agenda. Also there were a number of lawyers from the SEC, the National Futures Association and representatives from large law firms and investment banks.
I think some big names will invest on bitcoin if SEC approve winklevoss ETF as a regulation is needed to put their big funds.
Or maybe some of them already invest on bitcoin but keep it on silence, nothing for sure without any legitimacy.

For sure! The big 5 accounting firms have all stated that they have their own trials for utilizing cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. In addition, many banks have their own programs. I think there are many more big individuals/companies that are investing into this and many would do so without disclosing this information for competitive reasons.

I think it is mainly about the block chain technology, not the currency.
