If you can not trust these sites. So what is a good source of information? On these sites should be only objective reviews on ongoing ICOs.

Many of the ICO rating site do a complete research and personal interview with the project members.
They do have paid listing and paid promotions but you can easily find out what's paid and what's real in a good ICO rating site.
You should too try to personally verify the stated statements.

They seem biased to me. A friend of mine who's doing an ICO told me that they paid 10ETH for 5 quality ratings and that's that! I noticed that some ICOs with good project, team, and good social media presence are struggling with getting good reviews.

With all that said, should it still be a factor to look at when investing in ICO?

They might be little biased but you have to keep them in consideration and not take them literally. You can use different websites to see if that particular ICO has received similar ratings in all platform or just one, that can help you find the authentic ones.

I don't trust their placement or score but I do take reference from them for the identity and introduction of team member, real address and affiliation and other things that define a good ICO. I look for feasible targets and useful features rather than huge ambitions and unreal projections.

I think that you can not believe only one site. Study a lot of different ratings to understand how to relate to the project.

Ico rating sites are never a good factor of picking icos that one wants to participate in. I think that ico rating sites would give any investor a clue and this would make the investor to carry out his/her research to know more about the ico. Ico ratings only gives a clue for further research

In general, I trust the most famous sites of this type, I think that reputation for them first of all. In addition, I have not yet noticed that in the top was a bad ICO project. Maybe I'm wrong.

yeah, I have heard some projects are paying to get high rating on ICO sites. I use ICO rating site just as a side opinion, I also do my own research. Never let anyone tell you what to do with your own money man, not safe.

A lot factors are to be considered in choosing or investing in an ICO and ratings from ICO rating sites are very vital. You should only use those ratings as a guide only and not as investment advise as many put disclaimers out there. DYOR, that's very important.

I don't trust them, am just using them for tracking ICOs sometimes. We can't know their motivations for providing service.

You can look at the ratings, but you can not believe them at 100% of course. You should also pay attention to the idea and whitepaper of the project, partners and advisors, social networks and activity in them and a lot of factors.

It is sometimes good to consider the ratings and take them as a guide when you want to invest in a project but do not only depend on this rating because some good projects get less rating and vice versa but before you invest, it is very good for you to take time to do a proper research of the project, check the whitepaper and roadmap, check the history of team member and manager and also the community before you invest in it.

Some sites are very good at icorating.com. I often see ICO reviews at this site. Find some good ICO. But not exactly 100%

Yes but not all the time, As bounty hunters we still need to review and verify if the ICOs project is legitimate so our time and effort during participation will not turn into waste.

When I was still new in this forum and I can hardly understand how to choose good projects, I rely solely on ICO rating sites because almost everything to be considered is already graded by it. However, upon hearing news about biased ICO rating sites, I started to doubt them. Because of this bad shade of ICO rating sites, all other honest sites are affected.

ICO rating can be an option for investment, but we also need to look at it from various sides in making a decision when going to invest such as the development team, bounty manager. A good ICO rating does not necessarily mark the project well because it could be a fraud

No, I do not trust rating sites and I do not advise you to do the same, because all such services can be purchased, it's understandable. If the decision were made by the AI, then this is another matter.

Depends on what services are involved. If the special sites - they would not believe I did not advise. However, for example, in telegram channels people usually express their sincere opinion. But in general, always remember: trust, but check.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I think rating ICO is not good factor to identify the good one.
It is easy to promote and create a fake one.
