He is manipulating the market for sure, whether he is actually profiting from all this saga is a point of discussion because if he was taking advantage the market for dogecoin would have collapsed by now. They (Tesla) just suspended accepting Bitcoin and many trader is blaming his tweet for the crash of Bitcoin price on the market.

I don't think they will accept Dogecoin either if their requirement forbids excessive use of energy to produce block. Ths make me think if they are eyeing on XRP or any other cryptocurrency that does not need mining at all.

I highly disagree that Tesla should accept doge to purchase their product. Dogecoin has no active developers and it has an unlimited amount of supply. This is an insult to other projects who are working hard to improve their coin's utility. Only Elon's doge army would approve this and I hope they know the complete backround of dogecoin. Doge was always just less than 1 cent before if not because of him. No one bothers to buy it because people in the crypto community know it has no use-case.

Because of what happened recently, I will no longer be hyped on buying doge and using it to buy Tesla; all of this is nonsense, and the only people who will profit from it are the people who will benefit from it. I support Elon's marketing of Doge as a "meme coin," but if his statements have an effect on the BTC market, I'm concerned that he will gain control of the cryptocurrency's main market.

But, yes, I want Doge to be a payment method; at the very least, Dogecoin would become a utility, and its price will rise as a result of a large corporation accepting it.

Doge will reach 1$? Of course it will because of this.

Yes he said he is interested in any coin that has less than 1% of the power usage pre transaction compared to Bitcoin. It is almost like he asks for applications from energy friendly projects that can now reach out to him in order to get promoted by him.

Yes, it’s absolutely right.
Due to his few tweets there was a flood in the price rise of DogeCoin. Not only all the crypto traders but each and every person came to know about dogecoin and started buying it and i guess for this reason the price went so high.
But now people understood his real motive behind the tweets and for this reason, the price is now not affecting much.
And about the question asked in the title, then there is no doubt that soon Tesla will accept Doge to increase the hype again.

I hope so but it looks like elon was also looking another alternative coin other than doge coin that potentially to be added as a payment system to the tesla motor foundation.
So many people are betting into the NANO as the replacement for doge and bitcoin. Despite the fact that majority of votes gone to the doge coin but we must remember that if it's not so conservative as people think.

He disregards Bitcoin and wants to accept Dogecoin on his company when Doge is a clone of Bitcoin, he wants to hype Dogecoin again obviously he wants to make a lot of fo profit again, obviously, he still wants to make money out of Dogecoin, it's all money when there are a lot of better coin with usage, he is not doing research on other coins.

Tesla will not ignore this coin. Bitcoin already accepted as a payment system to buy tesla motor after elon already accepted it. The same scenario could happen when the doge coin can also be accepted by elon to be used as a payment system to buy tesla. nothing is impossible and just take a look at the history.

Bitcoin is decentralized and has been adopted by many companies before. DOGE is new and it has grown in value hundreds of times since March 2020. DOGE is held in large numbers by some addresses so if one of the wallets sells all of its cryptos, it means a collapse in value.
Tesla has many shareholders in the company, and they won't be able to let Elon Musk accept DOGE easily. All work should be passed to vote.

Tesla discourages accepting Bitcoin payments which also means that the company discourages projects that are mined using computer equipment. DOGE is a mining cryptocurrency with POW and that goes against the company's mission to protect the environment.
Another reason is that DOGE has more than 50% of the total supply held by a small number of wallet addresses so the potential for value collapse is huge.
Tesla will not risk putting its earnings with risky crypto.

With Tesla backing off of bitcoin payment citing energy hungry mining, I don't think Dogecoin would fit in as it is another one of the highest energy consuming network. Even though Elon Musk might be the godfather of Dogecoin, he won't be foolish to throw away bitcoin and add doge. They might be looking for some POS coins or stable rather than hardware mineable coins.

Now that Tesla has already stopped accepting bitcoin, I think Tesla under the control of Elon Musk is planning to add DOGE, I hope this will not result to a pump as I believe it's just a trap for Elon to accumulate more money in crypto before he will start dumping.

If by simple announcement Tesla has stopped accepting bitcoin, he can easily do the same with DOGECOIN.

I wouldn't blame Tesla and Elon Musk for this move, being an influencer this could actually be more of cooperate responsibility which could motivate crypto users miners in particular to go green possibly influence competitors to going green in their manufacturing process...his not a bad ambassador if you ask me!

I think this is one of elons technique to pump doge, doing this will make other people think that there is a good thing coming for the coin, and it will increase the price of doge, while he accumulates lots of it when it dumps, just like what they did to bitcoin and announce that they lost by holding the coin, but in reality, they already dump it, and I think they are doing the same to take profit every time, its business

Not a fan of Tesla, I did get impressed a little by SpaceX but I see that as more of engineering feats than Elon Musk success.

Tesla can add BSV and BCH for all I care. Adding Bitcoin hasn't always helped or even been an attractive proposition to most Bitcoin users. Bitcoin economy already thrives without Tesla.

Lets be real here, who truly cares about tesla accepting doge? this thing could be settled as simple as converting our doge to fiat then do it the normal way but why the gimmicks?
not to mention only very few people really want to buy tesla anyway and if doge accepted by tesla as payment method it's not really a revolutionary thing.
I'd be more pleased if doge could have other ability implemented to the blockchain like smart contract by hardforking the current chain it's gonna be more useful than just being accepted as payment method.
