Yeah, its a good time to invest in ICO but the ICO should be a potential one, you need to check all the possible ways to check their potential and the growth factor. I partially agree with you here. It is true that research is crucial while choosing which ICO to invest into. I usually conduct research primarily through the whitepaper provided by the team and then focus on other stuff like the team, website etc and conclude whether an ICO is worth investing into or not. I don't agree with the part where you talked about depending on renowned crypto gurus since they are not always right and it is best not to depend on anyone in this volatile crypto market apart from yourself. Focus on improving your knowledge of the crypto market op for research purposes.

Currently it is not advisable to invest in the new altcoin ico project because almost all ico when finished and their tokens in unlock, the price dropped directly.

It can be said that ICO investment is risky but before engaging in it You need to do a lot of research on a particular project before you join a project to avoid any risk to you. That is normally thing that happened when the bounty hunters and investors are dumping these coins,but i dont know why these people are doing that because if the project is really indeed legit and has a lot of potentials they can wait for just few months and then later they could sold it for a better price.
