As a trader, it really matters to me. The thing is when the price is bitcoin is low, that's the time that I usually look for a seller because it is cheaper. Now, when the price is high that is a good time to sell it, because I can earn a lot from it.
Your statement presuppose you have an "infinite" amount of bitcoin. As a trader, you should look for the spread and price variations rather than the absolute price. Percentage wise, you make money with a delta. If the gradient is null, then no profit.
