There have been endless discussions on this, the only thing it coms to is the fact, that are you in it for the technology or do you have money invested. If you are a person using it for sending money to another place, and only buy it at the point of the use, then it doesn't matter. But if you happen to store it for long term, then obviously it matters as you will essentially be losing money on it.

Price really matters to me as my buying and selling decisions are dependent only on the price as if price goes lower I buy more of them and if it goes higher then I prefer to sell some of them to make some quick profits.
The price of bitcoin that move so fast makes a lot merchants scare about adopting bitcoin as payment option.  But if we see that bitcoin is become good investment, tje merchant  should not afraid about bitcoin.

for me its price does not matter since i'm a holder. my aim is getting bitcoins as much as i can so that i can cash them out when we hit high prices. always focuss on its number not its price.

Why are you holding?  You are planning to cashout at a higher price and yet you said price does not matter?  How ironic.  Price matters because it determines a holder like you when to hold and when to cash out.  It gives us a go signal when to buy and when to hold ourselves from buying. It also tells us when to sell.
Price doesn't really matter. When you need money you do not think that after some time will rise. You need money now and fast. We can all afford to store bitcoins just because we earn them in addition to their main income. We have to live on, but if you have bitcoins you will spend them even if you know that in time, one bitcoin would be worth millions.
Well, since then price matter most. You are keep holding it because you are going to wait until bitcoin reach its highest price. Just like in cash price are always matter. How could holding or keeping buy anything? Since you keep it and still holding it, you are going to wait for the increasing of price. So, you are going to convert it because of the price. Price is matter most when it come to bitcoin.

of course the price matters. it matters for 90% of the people who bought their coins. if the price is stable more people are willing to convert their savings into bitcoin. which isn't the case right now.
Yes its very important because this is the basis of some people if they are going to sell or buy it to get more profit. Last month the price of bitcoin is stable but right now its not.
yes we cannot ignore the importance of bitcoin. in fact bitcoin price keep to much importance for everyone who is related and touch to bitcoin in any field, in fact we want the price of bitcoin too much stable so that more and more day businessmen start investing money in bitcoin. I am sure that very soon the big big investors will invest money in bitcoin.

It is not the price, but the market cap which matters. The major fiat currencies such as the USD and the EUR are having a market cap of around $1.5 trillion. Right now, Bitcoin is far behind. But as far as Bitcoin is concerned, the total number of coins are limited by the principle of controlled supply. So the prices indirectly matters, as they are proportional to the market cap (unlike the case with USD/EUR).

Bitcoin and altcoin Price matters, how can you trade if prices doesn't matter? its pointless, Its very important for traders to monitor price in order to have signals when to sell and when to buy commodities.

Not only for traders, the price is very important. They matter absolutely to all who hold bitcoin. For investors, the price is very important, as they plan to get to come from holding bitcoin
What then is the meaning of dealing with crypto currency if it did not have its purpose? The fact is that most users use Bitcoin or other crypto currency, but only to earn. Very few people who enjoy the art of high technology.

Of course it matters. In fact bitcoin high and fluctuating price is what makes me interested in the first place. If the price is low or stable, i would have chosen gold as investment instead.
the price of bitcoin really matter, no doubt about that. in fact the trader the investors the bitcoin holder and even the shopkeepers who accept bitcoin for shopping really care about the price of bitcoin. to me as a trader i really care about the price of bitcoin.

for me as a traders, the price of bitcoin is matter because if the price is going to down, then we can prepare to buy and hold it or use it for another reason like we do it for trading. and if somehow bitcon price is increase, we can sell for gain a profit and i think many people right now is trying to hold their bitcoin until they see the price is reasonable for them to sell.

We have all witnessed last few weeks and months how Bitcoin price is important. So.many new users have embraced the Bitcoin hoping for profit, some even to get rich. And their only motive was high price, there were maybe just few new enthusiasts. Let's face it, the majority of people is motivated with pure money.

I agree with you, but still bitcoin was always not stable, it depends on how people react on different things. If all sharks will start withdrawing their money, than bitcoin will simply drop. But we are on a good side, where people are just trying to make as much profit as possible Smiley

If I answer you no then I'll be lying. Even though my hope is for us to see 1 btc equivalent to 1 btc some day with the price of fiat mean nothing to us, the current movement of the price still gives us the indication in how well accepted btc is and its demand. I do agree with your reasoning but until the I will still closely follow the btc price movement.

Of course, the price of bitcoin matters.  Most people decided to invest in bitcoin because they expect that the price of bitcoin will continually rise then their investment will gain not to put in vain.  Those people that is being paid through bitcoins in exchange of their online jobs are also concerned with the bitcoin price because online jobs is their source of income. The price of bitcoin really matter so I am looking forward for its continue success and sooner its legalization.
I'm agree with you, thus, not only for investing but especially in other transaction. If you use bitcoin for paying online it is non-sense because we can use the other currency that are most demand. Infact, they wait to increase the price (equal value to dollar/local currency) to less bitcoin will use.

Additionally, I'm sure the trading will face out in bitcoin. As a business, trading is most easily way to get an income through bitcoin. And this will the reason why bitcoin need to buy and sell, it's all about profit.

What actually matter is not the actual price, it's the trend.
If the price is stable or rising, the adoption increases. People and businesses get more confident in bitcoin and start using it. More miners start up their gears.
If the price is falling, people get scared / suspicious and will go away from bitcoin.

I agree with you. If the price of bitcoin would go down again many investors might withdraw from their deals and the interest for bitcoin might get less. There are people who are just interested with bitcoin because of its current price now in the market. I have experienced telling some of my friends about crypto when its price was just about 50K. There is this doubtful expression on their faces at that time. But the sudden rise of bitcoin’s price from 70K to 130K got their attention and now they are asking about it now.

Please mention the currency you're talking about cause I'm pretty damn sure bitcoin hasn't reached 50k usd or euros .

As for "investors" they can withdraw and go to hell from my point of view.
Let bitcoin be and do what it was supposed to be and solve the problems it meant to.

The price of Bitcoin matters as Bitcoin is considered as one of the biggest investment and you cannot think of investment without price and profit potential. It matters to those who are holding coins for profit and to those who are buying new coins.
Yes the price of bitcoin matters now, yes we cant deny the fact that one of the reasom why we wants bitcoin because of its price, many people wants it and they are looking for bitcoin price too. Bitcoin price matters most.

Exactly its a minority of people who hold bitcoin for nothing more than the fun of it. For most people its an investment and those investors only reinforce the community by creating new demand for the coin.
