Although this thread was created in 2017 so it's been a long time so it's an old topic. Currently all of these Dogecoins have been at least inactive and have seen massive success since Elonmusk took over the project. Hence it is currently enjoying massive success and is apt to grow further.
Elon Musk has turned his attention to Doge, and it's had its moments of success. Whenever he talks about Doge, through his mouth or social media, it tends to soar. But it also crashes just as hard. Now that Elon Musk has spoken up again, it might be best to steer clear of anything associated with him.

I highly agree, If it is not without promoting by Elon musk, then Dogecoin will not go as much as higher as today. And it shows that most of the traders today are into memecoins and they see the benefits and potentials of their markets in the future.

It’s amazing how everyone in the first page was saying that it is nothing but a joke and it will fail. It’s 2024 and DOGE happens to be the lead of all memecoins, It has set an example and other memecoins are trying to follow in recreating its success story. Dogecoin that was all for fun and jokes has made people millionaires. Thanks to Elon Musk though. And today, it’s beginning to be more than just a meme coin.

Not at the moment so keep buyin folks!

If Dogecoin should have the probability of failing, then thousands of other coins and memetokens would have failed a long time before it get to it turn, though we never expect to experience any incident like that of Luna any longer, but the mastermind behind each successful coin or token also matters, we should make the research tot the level of satisfaction and invest what we can afford to loose even though we are not expecting such to ever happen.

Many thought dogecoin won't survive up till this time but looking at the market value of the coin I think , this is one of the altcoins in the market that is doing very well .  Some investors even consider the dogecoin as one of the reliable coin  to invest in. Despite this topic is an old one i think it will be interesting for people to see how far the dogecoin has reached . Dogecoin coin is doing well in the market.

The thread was old and when it was posted it was no hope at all. But then, I guess that it all started with dogecoin when most of these meme coins came out. The hype and the pattern came through with it and yes, it's not dead at the moment and I doubt it that it's going to be dead.
There's a huge support from the community and that's the reason why many seem to be happy with these meme coins and they should look forward and thank dogecoin for starting everything out.
It was posted in November 2017 and I think there was a crypto bull run that time and Dogecoin might be included on it already, so there is a chance that OP here is only spreading a FUD as he might be one of those meme coin haters.

Yes, meme coin trend started with Dogecoin and the more they got popular when Elon Musk started mentioning Dogecoin in his Twitter post. It's impossible for Dogecoin to die because the meme coin have been here since 2014 (I think if I'm not mistaken). Many are happy with Dogecoin but not with most of the meme coins because they are only just a scam. It's only sad that they affected the reputation of Dogecoin.

This topic was created a long time ago, so it is not up to date with current discussions. Dogecoin was not popular for a while but now it is very popular, ever since the change of owner Dogecoin has come to the top of the discussion and is the most interesting coin for investors.

Dogecoin was created as a joke for crypto currencies. I think it has already done that purpose. Becoming a multibillion-dollar project for a meme coin is a joke to the industry when many fundamentally strong and utility focused projects failed to get a fraction of this market capital. These funds can be used for innovative purposes; instead, investors choose to invest in a project that has a picture of a doge on it. Are we heading in the right direction or will there be a massive shitshow with the meme project in the future.

People falling for "meme" coins like Dogecoins and Shiba Inu, tells us that the crypto industry hasn't even matured yet. Spot ETFs are a great start. But a lot of work needs to be done for crypto to be taken seriously among the masses. I'd say Dogecoin has succeeded in becoming a "joke" admired by everyone. Despite its popularity, it will never reach the level of seriousness either BTC or ETH has.

The main reason why "meme" coins became a big hit was because of Elon Musk. He "pumped" Dogecoin with his comments. Now the market is flodded with useless "meme" coins that bring no value to the world. Why focus on something that's full of unnecessary risks? Instead of accumulating DOGE, people should accumulate BTC for good, long-term results. I won't be surprised if DOGE goes back to less than $0.01 after the hype ends. Smiley

there is never another development for this coin though. but it has gained much popularity.
when the developer abandoned it, i think it became more attractive since there would be no more modification of it just like Bitcoin after Satoshi left.

years ago there were discussions that Elon was going to take over it but never were news about it after that news. i guess he was just trying to hype it.

A few moments ago, it reached 21cent. Of course, this is surprising, and it's true that you said. The situation is different now, he's not dead. It could even increase again, not because of Elon, but because of the Bitcoin community and movement. But will it continue to reach the previous ATH? Of course, we still need more time because the situation can always change quickly. But if it approaches the halving period, it is likely that it will survive to move upwards. Many who have been holding out for a long time now get the blessing of the doge with its increase, they earn from the unexpected wait after continuing to hold it for so long.
It's not going to be dead, if there's a leader with these meme coins then it's going to be dogecoin. It's always gonna be the top choice when it comes to meme coins although in terms of gains, it's done with the ATH and many of the other meme coins will be preferred by these memecoin investors because they think that ATH of Dogecoin won't be happening again. I am not sure with that but many of them have been profitable lately but even with that, I wouldn't get into it.

doge coin Does not look good for investment. because did not get pumps like other old coins . It is dominated by the bearish trend

Concur to this statement I think it's one major reason that make it very slow in meeting up string investor, though few investor are still look up to the creator to see if the will be any improvement. But from the op graph I don't it to be completely wipe out from the market trend within a short time but will take long if there is no improvement.

The Dogecoin is long dead. Solely the hype (because people pump it) keep it alive.

Here is a graph of their Github, it speaks for itself:

More graphs are here: https://coinanalysis.io/dogecoin/
Obviously you are just promoting your Site in this thread and it happens that you used Dogecoin to fool people clicking your site , because in 2017 Dogecoin is one of the top coin .
and hoping that you are going online again now to see how you are being fooled by your own belief since Dogecoin stays strong and holding ranking position 7 years after you posted this

here check it yourself.

I do know this a very old thread and been bumped by you but well its not really that a bad recommendation though.
Wondering on where OP went though considering that DOGE did able to achieve some milestones that no one had anticipated or expect.

We've been able to see on how DOGEcoin jump its price just because of Elon? No one really expects that and there are rumors that this one would really be used on x-payments? No one sure of that but
rumors could be true but well just take it a pinch of salt. I've remembered those days on which this coin is really just that too cheap on which its price is still not that significant
and been common used on doing gambling but now when it comes to its value or price then to those who have hoard and hold this for long time did make some serious money.  Cool

I have seen a great deal of coin darlings examining about the coin on the ANN string however I don't think the engineer are likewise helping the matter. no new update regarding the coin from the engineers. This coin is a genuine bet for everybody, no worth, no dev, yet an opportunity to create gain for players.
