I've got some questions answered from him recently:
ok, to push it up I sent one more step to reach the funding goal.
Thank you for organizing this.
Great! Nice to to see we have one more donation.
Next weekend, I'll also add another 0.5 mBTC.
I can donate some Aevo coins to the project.
I'll ask him if he can use Aevo coins and reply here later, maybe tomorrow, same time.
I've asked him and he doesn't know Aevo coins, he's only accepting BTC and ETH.
bought, might never be enough. A few questions that I still want raise, are the Taxes and the labor fees to those who would make this possible physically are considered in setting the collection goal?
I'll ask him about taxes and reply here, when he has answered. But most likely it seems to be he and his neighbors setting the farm up.
For harvesting, he'll share the rewards with all people from his town who will help him, it seems to be a (partly) community owned farm or something like that.
The land seems to need a lot of work to be done and I know how hard it is to make a land good for farming, I just pray here and hope that you are going to reach that goal and get more donations than you could've expected.
Yes, he said this too, there need to be a lot of old plants removed and the ground needs to be prepared to be suitable for small rice seedlings.
But that did already work for the previos farm where we had to remove old plants, too.
A little shocked that the project focused on making a farm in the country I live. And were shocked more upon knowing that the goal is only around 400USD or 20K PHP, which if tractors and equipments would be bought, might never be enough.
The farm is not very big and the previous farm was at least double size, for which 700$ were enough. Machines will be rented which has a cost of approximately 150$, he said last time.
these really aren’t big amounts, I don’t think you’ll have a problem getting enough money for that.
I am curious, how much he can make a profit from the farm like this?
whether there will be enough just for their needs, or they will have enough to sell?
He answered me this also today and said, he doesn't generate profits from selling rice: Because it is a small farm, harvested rice will be distributed to his town for everyone who will help harvesting it.
Wish the unit is in satoshi, or perhaps also dominated in satoshi to make things easier for people who are used to that particular unit... And also it would be a good idea to specify the list of things that need to be bought for transparency sake. I believe there are people who would want to be sure that what they are funding is safe. For example, not everyone will like to fund things that include GMOs or synthetic chemicals.
Will keep an eye on the thread.
It would really be much better if it would really be showing off on what are the things that would tend to be purchased.
As far as I know he needs to purchase:
- Renting machines to remove old plants and prepare the grounds
- Rice seedling
So checking out on that piece of lot, then i would like to ask on OP on how big (in sqm) the lot is? For that $400+ target fund goal is just for cleaning up the area and setting it up as a rice field?
If yes, then i can say that it would be too much.
I'll ask him, how much sqm the farm is in total.
The problem is renting machines is very expensive and the general cost of renting them is 150$.
Lot of money in 3rd world but basing only on this kind of farming business then that wont really be enough for sure.Im bit interested on this one...
At least this is a start. This is another demonstration that using bitcoin or let's say crypto one can easily help someone in any corner of the world where there are no boundaries at all.
Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking when I started the first campaign. Bitcoin is suitable for various use-cases and cross-border donations from all over the world are a great demonstration how Bitcoin can improve global issues.
We have seen some donation campaigns here already (like from cabalism13 etc.) which is a very good sign.
Yes, we have started this last year, when some thypoons hit the Phillipines and his town was affected. It went very well, so we have agreed to expand the farm.
I wish you good luck brother. Also hope that you reach your goal.
Thank you very much. If we don't reach the goal from donations, I'll add the missing amount of
BTC.
