By the way, anther thing that unites most of ex-USSR is the date of the 9th of May, and it's drawing closer. 
If you are referring to the victory day, then I really doubt that. Most of the Estonians, Latvians, Lithuanians and the Western Ukrainians will celebrate it as a mourning day. For them, the Soviets were the invaders and the Nazis were liberators.

I did a double-take and almost spluttered said kvas - I have a 2l bottle of Ochakovo on my table. It is one of the few real kvas products having (almost exactly) the same taste as the kvas from barrels. Lately there's been a lot of companies making fake kvas (The Pepsi-Cola Company is among those), by mixing artificial colourants and taste additives.
I know of a place in Oslo, where one can by Ochakovskij kvas for 50NOK for 2l, as well as some other Russian Eastern-European products:
