Yes Snail. Since it´s fully mob sponsored and with a fascist mentality you can be sure that they last year replaced most decent higher officers with total crap advised by similar mob junk. For systematically shelling civilians for a prolonged period you need special kind of soldiers obviously. You get lots of desertions and that is then replaced with "contractors"  nazi "national guard" and other crazy junk. The mob then has huge experience in massacring civilians around the world so its shitflies are buzzing around all this crap.

Mostly agree with you, except the special kind of soldiers thing. Simple everyday artilleryman will do that. They get an order with coordinates and schedules and then they firing to those coordinates according to the schedule without knowing what are those targets. The special kind of soldiers are the spotters and the commanders in charge for target acquisition.

If the news are right about the rapidly collapsing Debaltsevo pocket and about the Right Sector ultimatum then Poroshenko (and Co.) better to keep a helicopter at hand.

Biryukov: “At the moment we don’t have a Ukrainian version of the Mannerheim Line”

Q: “Do we need one?”

Biryukov: “People are saying we’re going to win, forward, we’ll reach the border and fully liberate [sic] the Donbass from the militants [sic]—right now it’s impossible, we don’t have the resources. We have to get used to the fact that we don’t have the resources for large-scale offensive operations, but we need defensive lines in any event so we should dig them.”

"No resources left for offensive operations"--Poroshenko Advisor Biryukov

Ukrainian Mannerheim lime... Smiley What's next? They need a Ukrainian Raate Road as well Smiley? Oh wait! Thats just happening again on the Debaltsevo Artemivsk road...

No resources left... perhaps they should spend their soldiers and gear more sparingly. E.g. withdrawing from developing encirclements and such. Retards.

J.Hawk’s Comment: The Mannerheim Line was a Finnish fortified defensive line on the Karelian Isthmus—which, in any event, was successfully breached by the Red Army during the Winter War, forcing Finland to sue for peace. So it’s a rather inapt comparison, but an example of how incoherent Ukrainian national identity becomes as soon as it tries to deny its shared history with Russia. I mean, seriously, you have to seek out examples from Finnish military history? Which, incidentally, are not even remotely applicable to Ukraine, which is too large and too sparsely populated for any defensive line to be practicable in the long term.

Aside from that, Biryukov was one of the most ardent propagandists of, and advocates for, the “counter-terrorist operation” on the Donbass, so it’s rather gratifying that he has now switched gears. The UAF must really be at the end of its tether if even Biryukov recognizes the obvious.

If this Pornoshenko guy lasts out this month it´ll be a miracle. Since he is a total puppet of the mob you can just imagine the pile of garbage he has around him, domestic and foreign. I´m sure the U.S. Embassy has a helicopter at the ready on the roof to ship junk out quickly. All this pile of crap has led the Ukraininian military from one disaster to the next and I´m pretty sure that patience is about to run out there. Maybe he´ll end up with an AK-47 up his butt. Stay tuned.

A "federal subject"? Good one Wink
This is exactly how Russians feel about these republics, that were formed in the lands of their former Union "our subjects, our land" and Putin in his imperial vision would gladly bring these strays back in his arms. We all know how difficult it is to gain independence once you're occupied by Russia.

Chechnya (then Ichkeria) was de facto independent after the Khasavyurt Accord in 1996. And you guess what happened next? Cool

Crazy U.S. senators Lindsey Graham and John McCain upset Germany doesn’t want a war in Europe

Quote
BLANKETS VS TANKS

U.S. senators Lyndsey Graham and John McCain, two Republican hawks who attended the conference, were withering in their criticism of the German stance, which is supported by other big European countries like France.

“At the end of the day, to our European friends, this is not working,” Graham said of Merkel’s diplomatic efforts. “You can go to Moscow until you turn blue in the face. Stand up to what is clearly a lie and a danger.”
McCain added: “The Ukrainians are being slaughtered and we’re sending them blankets and meals. Blankets don’t do well against Russian tanks.”

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, also speaking in Munich, tried to play down differences with Europe, saying he and Obama agreed that no efforts should be spared to resolve the conflict peacefully.

But he made clear that Washington stood ready to provide Ukraine with the means to defend itself, saying: “Too many times President Putin has promised peace and delivered tanks, troops and weapons.”

A senior State Department official at the Munich talks also denied there was a rift between Washington and the Europeans.

“We will see where we end up policy-wise, but as of now with the diplomatic approach and with the situation regarding the provision of weapons we are all on the same place,” the official said.

I can´t believe they sent friggin Lindsey Graham to that security conference there in Germany. His bunk maybe goes with many Americans but in Europe, forget it. It´s about as hopeless a salesmanship as Saakashvili.

More War In Ukraine Needed So Lindsey Graham Can "Feel Better"

Quote
There was a lot of stupid talk today at the Munich Security Conference where U.S. hawks are trying to instigate a big war in Europe. Such war would result in a lot of destruction in Europe but the U.S., secured by oceans, would hardly be touched. Especially in the current deflationary environment the destruction of European production capacity would be to the economic advantage of the United States.

The U.S. hawks (and their European puppets) want to deliver more weapons to Ukraine, they want to instigate Russia to harsher reactions to their coup in Kiev and they want to strongly escalate the situation there. That is not in Europe's interest.

The U.S. commander of NATO Breedlove's talk of the "military option" in Ukraine is dangerous nonsense. But even more nonsense came today in Munich from Senator Lindsey Graham, a member of the Senate Committee on Armed Services. He is, together with John McCain and the lunatic editorial boards of the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post, one of the loudest voices screaming for more war.

Graham has problems justifying any escalation. He admits that pushing more weapons into the Ukraine would not change much. But he says it would make him "feel better". Now that is really good reason to escalate a war? You can see and hear him saying that at 33:40 in this video:

I don’t know how this will end if you give [Ukraine] defensive capability. But I know this: I will feel better because when my nation was needed to stand up to the garbage and to stand by freedom I stood by freedom. They may die, they may lose ...
More war, more death, more destruction so Lindsey Graham "will feel better"? And that is supposed to be a good reason for war?

I doubt that Graham meant that seriously. It is simply his usual neocon sales-talk for more war and while such talk works in certain segments of the U.S. public it is unlikely to win him any following in Europe.

of course Georgia.
When you guys will read the fucking OSCE report? These reports were published in 3 volumes and describing in pretty clear words, who started this shit in Georgia and who was an aggressor there. If you can't read it then, maybe, it's time to go and learn the fucking alphabet?  Grin

Chechnya
Oh, I see that your education issues are much worse than I previously thought. Smiley Maybe it's time to remember that Chechnya is not a foreign territory, but a federal subject of Russia? A federal subject, which was invaded by the foreign mercenaries.

It seems that learning the fucking alphabet won't be enough, you need to combine it with some fucking geography lessons.  Keep up your good work.  Tongue

I see a lot of angry Russians in this thread. You shouldn't be ashamed, you have such a beautiful history of shooting unarmed prisoners in the back of the head (1940), just like ISIS is doing now.

If your talking about the Kiev regime, they were installed not voted in, after a coup d'etat...  If your talking about Western governments in general, than maybe they have credibility in terms of representing their own people, but they have none when it comes to meddling in foreign countries.   Look what they've done to everything they've touched, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya...  Those were all catastrophes, so zero credibility there.

Same thing can be said about Russians, who love to put the pots that don't belong to them. They had their fun in Afghanistan too, then in Yugoslavia, Chechnya and of course Georgia.

True, the Russians have invaded and bombed 50 countries around the world in the last decades and killed and maimed millions of people. And they have 700 military bases around the world, let´s not forget that.

LOl be careful!  I'm not sure the "other side" is capable of understanding sarcasm.

Can you compare and contrast the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan with the Western backed one?   I don't think there's any comparison my friend...   Georgia?  That's it, take the geek out of your nick please.  It connotes intelligence and..
