This is quite impossible for Ethereum to be a 4K USD coin. Right now, the ETH price is far lower than 400$! You are free to predict/expect anything, but the reality is different here! The 2.0 upgradation won't help that much like the hard fork! Therefore, without Bitcoin growth, Eth can't increase much. If Bitcoin hit 50-60K USD then your expectation can be filled not before that!

Although many parties may agree with your statement, I am still in doubt. However, so far I have also seen that the ETH team has never stopped. I still remember the ETH price in 2017. In my opinion, 2017 is the very highest year for the ETH price based on my experience here. If you mention before 2021, it means that 2020 ETH will reach $ 4000. Wow 1. I will always be happy if ethereum prices can reach that price. $ 4000 is a fantastic lift, I will see that later when it is reached before 2021 as said by @OP

Almost 70% of my portfolio are based ETH er20 blockchain and i belief that if ethereum can reach 4k per one it will be profitable for all erc20 based tokens,even many developers are waiting to recover their loss from ETH since the last ATH price of 2017 But I think at this time, Is that possible or just hope. ETH is sure to grow in price, but in my opinion, it will not happen soon.
As far as the future is concern, anything is possible, therefore, there is a possibility that ETH could hit $4000 someday. I believe the ETH team are working tirelessly towards improving the platform. Regardless, of everything, i still give it to them for maintaining the number two spot on the chart.
everyone expects ethereum to reach the price of $ 4000, it is indeed very impossible but everything can happen in crypyo and sometimes even unexpected, but in achieving it takes a very long time and in my opinion the price of ethereum in 2021 will not exceed the price of $ 2000
Most people will expect the price of crypto will be rises after bitcoin halving including Eth but i would not says it won't be happens because nothing impossible in crypto world and i was remember when people says bitcoin and Eth will never reach all time high but in fact those coins can reach that achievement but indeed nothing wrong if from now on we buy small amount of Eth gradually just in case if the price of ETH really high then we didn't regret it because cannot buy at cheap price
We can't say as of now that there's a possibility to reach that value. Because market still not fine and for sure there's more changes will happen in it until that year comes . For me Its just a predictions perhaps and no specific theology. Lets wait for more results instead rather than expecting to much in the future m because it's still uncertain.
Well, it was a long wait and fully I would not be surprised if that would happen later, because I do believe eth has the ability to become the biggest crypto in the future, although every day many new coins appear but I'm not sure it will be an option which will be popular in a short time.
I haven't done any ta on eth but the fundamentals are good enough for that target. We have to remember that eth has lot's of really smart guys behind it. If dao didn't kill it, i can't see anything killing it. And eth is not boring to watch either because they are willing to try out highly experimental state of the art solutions.

You sure are very optimistic with ETH. Well, i can't say your prediction is wrong or true, but you know ETH could be dropped to under $100 just like in 2018, or maybe lower than that.

wow...interesting. That's pretty bullish. Actually, this is crypto we're in so I wouldn't doubt that at all. Anyways should Bitcoin halving break up and create a nice bullish market, that's actually very very possible. What I've noticed so far is that all markets are dependent on bitcoin success.

Yes you are right ,with all these altcoins coming out i even dont see ethereum break 1000$ again by 2021, im sure ethereum will be stable around 300-400$ on that year. Isn't surprising for me cause, it could say it is a miracle that happens to Ethereum. Not even seeing it passes over $1k, how much more to reach into $4k...the reality is getting far away. I will seeing ETH price 5 years from at $1k, I don't expect to much from this because the market seems to be at big competition and investors are looking for new and potential coins which could highly affect the growth of ETH in the future.

I do not think that long-term retention of Ethereum coins can increase the price of the coin so much.Only cryptocurrency mass adoption around the world can raise the price.While relatively few people know about cryptocurrencies, it is not worth thinking about sending ethereum to the moon. 2. A price of $4000 per ETH with the current supply would mean a marketcap of more than $400 billion!! That's not gonna happens. But I like that you are very optimistic even though ETH is only going down recently.

rather than shocked I doubted it more. POS is only an escape, because as long as Ethereum cannot overcome Scalability it will be very difficult to make investors trust them. even if in 2020 ethereum rises it is not the result of their development, but of the rising price of bitcoin.
I won't be surprised but i don't think ETH would reach $4000 in 2020, it is not realistic enough for the closest price of ETH right now and its previous ATH price. But maybe in the upcoming years, Ethereum would reach that price, who knows, the future and cryptocurrency are very unpredictable when making a prediction.
