I do agree, when bear market happens, most of the time, people will get their lesson for their actions. they will learn about the things they should do next time and the things they must act when it happens.

Normally when you do saw a price increase we are getting too much confident where we do really believe that we can really make big profits and pretending to know on how the market moves but I don't really see a reason on what the word you have said there that everyone is an expert even on those bullish moments some people doesn't even know on when to exit or make shorts to profit making.
Bear market is always been there and we are already suffering for 8 months as of this year.

Been holding on for some time now, since my entry point was at the time of the bull run. We were at the all time high and I invested some of my funds and saw it grew exponentially. But did not think about the possibility of the price going down. Thus I lost much during this down turn. Really learned a lot and will be preparing for the next bull run.

what we have these days is not exactly a bear market, it is a dump market where the pumped altcoins are getting dumped as the money exits the market.
in this market situation "hold" doesn't mean anything if you have half a brain. in other words "don't get carried away" in this context by OP should mean "don't become a bag holder" while they are dumping on you.

but unfortunately nobody listens until they are heavy in loss (90% lost) then they start cursing everyone and everything because they feel cheated just because they didn't listen.

I think I started at the worst time.....buying at ath, thinking it all will go higher without any doubt.

Last few months were horrible, but some very valuable lessons were learned. Right now I am all set for a 2nd try...if not it's ok, if it goes up hard, I am more than ok. I did move funds from less viable projects towards projects that have a real future (after extensive dyor).

I am now more experienced and more seasoned...I do not expect x100 anymore, though some projects do deserve it if you'd ask me

Yes, I would agree that people should not get carried away by their emotions when market fluctuations will be experience instead just have to observed and hold your coins. Must wait for it to recover soon and I think that during bear market is also an opportunity to buy altcoins at lower value and able to profit once market price value will increase.
