Well, trading really needs time like 4-6 hours but if you are talking as you are almost a day trading then that's really bad.  Try to divide those hours for searching coins, short term trade and etc and put a time limit for each.
Maybe, it is not advisable to spend your money to trading as well as your time because if you will have to spend almost all of your time doing it then you can be crazy and have a sleepless night which is not good in our health, just focus on the coins that will give you much trading just like bitcoin.
In my opinion, we need to spend more time in trading to earn money because if we don't see the chart and the news
of each coins then we will be not updated on when to sell or when to buy, that's why it's hard to be a Master trader.

When I started to trade in forex, I rapidly discover how addicting this activity was: you live in a world of charts, japanese candles, exchange rates, and start to neglect family, friends and your own health.
When I risked a nervous breakdown, I began to discipline myself, and now I stay in front of the monitor a fixed number of hours.
Take care.

it depends on what you mean by "spend time". wasting time for example is not proper way of spending it. and that's what most people do.

but if you spend time constructively by
studying the market,
analyzing the charts,
learning how to trade,
reading articles,
watching the movement on charts and thinking about reasons for each change
....
that would be a good thing.

some people even start "demo trading". if the platform allows that (crypto trading platforms rarely have this feature) then even better, but if not on paper or in an excel sheet. placing imaginary buys and then watching if they get filled, then placing imaginary sells and finally seeing if you could make profit.

all trading needs is experience. to know how things work and then acting fast.

I love your idea of imaginary trading a demo using crypto market. Some platforms have this feature now, so there is no need to imagine it. The Profiforex Mobius software for example has crypto trading in the real sense. I am not talking about CFDs, there you can buy cryptocurrencies against USD and other currencies.

yes it is true, it is good we have time by doing more than one job as long as we can manage time well, we can take advantage apart from trading, for example we can follow bounty and signatur.
I think, either it is true or not you cannot avoid to spend too much time in trading sometimes especially when your in a good mood and eagerly wanting to get what you want in your trading. Though it is not advisable to pay too much time, it's all depend upon to you on how you manage your time.

Depends on how educated you are. I would say, if you are really interested in trading, first of all, find and get to know a coin that you are going to invest in. Find and read as much as possible regarding it, and then invest if you find it to be a potential one. Then, start studying the chart of the coin, when does it fall, why does it fall, why does it go up. While you have invested in the coin, learn as much as possible on trading cryptocurrencies and also be up to date with that coin.

Now that you have experience in that area, you can invest in a couple of coins, and start trading them monthly/weekly/daily depending on how you feel

It is a personal preference on how much time will you devote on trading. Some do it daily and rake profits, some invest and hodl, and they also profit.

Whole point is to have experience, and of course, strategy. Know  your exit strategy, when are you going to pull out, and when to push in more fiat.

Last but not least, do not put money that you are not prepared to lose (ex. money for your rent) and do not include too much emotions. You will end up panic selling and losing more than you have invested in the first place.

There's no such thing as too much time trading, as long as you have a goal in mind, and play strategically.

i'm one who spend too much time for trading. I made so many stupid mistakes because of thinking emotionally instead of logically. Cry
what is your opinion?
Being emotional is a big factor why many traders end up failing and regretting. If you want to be a good trader you must have patience and have a goal on your coins, do not consume too much time watching the fluctuation of prices of every crypto because it may lead you to have volatile mindset and forget your goal because you are watching the fluctuation of crypto too much. Just have patience when it comes to trading and don`t let your emotions dictate you what to do.

If you are a holder then just research and invest some good amount in a good coin and then re-open after 1 year ;p and keep doing your job. So yeah for a jobber don't waste much time on viewing market cap.  Wink
I think it takes too long to wait for up to 1 year. 3-5 months is enough to see our coin predictions will rise or not. yes indeed we should always check the market because it is our benchmark in assuming the price of coin that we get from trading

The answer is linked to your preferences actually. If you aim to be a good trader, you have to spend a lot time on trading to improve and develop your trading skills and you will practice yourself.

Spending hours or alloting a big chunk of your day to anything you want to specialize is extremely necessary and important if you want to master that skill or really become a subject matter expert on ideas.  The same holds true when artists spend countless hours rehearsing and practicing until they perfect their craft; how doctors study for years just so they could pcialize on a specific area of medicine; that's how traders are too, they spend hours each day just to study the market and the behavior of each element, how one is interlinked and affects the other.  Nonones becomes an expert overnight and so, even in the world of crypto, I know that you really have to spend hours researching and trading because you don't want to miss that chance when you could strike a good trade and be able tomprofit incredibly.

Trading is not that easy how you think first. Everone who is new into this business, has first to learn to controll their feelings. I had so much FUD when i try to trade the first time, and make so many mistakes and sell with loose, and seconds after that i would be in plus. So if you cant handle this, just try to simply hold your coins. When you have more experience with cryptocurrencies and you watch some charts and have some experience, you can try it again to trade.

Daily trading really takes a lot of time and pressure because of the volatility of coin. So I prefer hold me coins for a long time.

Daily trading really takes much effort, but it gives quick and sufficient income if you are not sitting idly. I spend many hours a day (up to 7-8) for trading and education.
thats enough time to be educate and Earn in trading, because  theres a lot of new things trading has to give,i have been trading for long now,but still i am learning in many ways..if you ready for daytrade, you should give enough time.

Crying will not solve the problem for you, all you have to do is rise from adversity, stabilize your emotions, then you have to get back to work and most importantly take a valuable lesson from the events you are experiencing.
since experience is best teacher, lets take those mistakes as a learning material for progress, your right mate crying is not an option to success

we are the same think, I think that you are doing right but there is one thing you should improve in trading that is controlling emotions and ambitions, two things that make us lose everything,

agreed, and besides i don't see any problems with giving so much time on trading because what OP's problem is not being emotionally stable when there is a dip to his coins, i think everyone should prepared for the worst when it comes to trading in order to accept loss and stop your self by trading immediately.
There is nothing can ensure that your coin will continue to increase its price in the next few months. Holding is only for the people who do not have any knowledge in trading and they want to invest their money in cryptocurrency. I am a day trader and I find that trading in a short term is very effective. Under a big pressure will make your more responsible to your money. And as the result, you will likely to understand how the market move
