Are price NA, or they accurate from here: http://drillbitsystem.com/order.html
It looks like that page needs a thorough update.

ok so via mini plane :950 doesn't work but if they my 4 8boards are separately given power they work with 53:2:950, the miniplane gets fed via the same psu with the two power cables.

ed. unplugged the mini plane and each board gets power separately plus 4 usb cables, running on 52:2:950 23Gh/s

if the any pool Pool luck (1 day, 7 days, 30 days):   203%, 126%, 100% have these stats what is the chance of solo mining 100Gh finding a block?

ed. ok i am guessing not likely at all.

the new beta firmware seems to have helped one of my 8boards at least
is it better to run them separate or via miniplane?

Hey all.

Sorry i've been kind of absent lately. I've had some real life things demanding my attention and have been hanging out for the Avalon stuff to get its bugs ironed out which has been unfortunately taking much longer than i would have hoped. In good news, this is now done and the Avalons are steaming ahead. A bit late in my opinion but its just been the best we can do considering all of the surrounding factors. I really would have loved to get this stuff to you sooner but thats just not the way things have gone. As it stands, the thumbs will be ready to roll in the next couple days and the 16s will be about 2 weeks. Thankfully the difficulty rises are slowing and the price looks to be heading up again so these things should still have some life in them. That said, no hard feelings if anyone decides to opt out on this one. Its a hard game this bitcoin hardware thing, it really is. But whatever, the boards will exist and i hope they find good homes. I'd much rather see them go to you guys than anywahere else.

Anyways, i am happy to announce that there is a new firmware available for the existing bitfury hardware which has some really cool features, including miniplane support (finally!), and per asic autotuning to get the most GH out of your hardware. I have it running on my boards now and it is nice and stable. Seems like most of the boards dropping out problems have been ironed out now too. Check it out here:

I will keep everyone updated with the Avalon stuff as it comes.

Hope you are all well and that no one got too stung by the MT Gox debacle.

More soon.

Hey guys,

I'm planning to sell my sole 8-board to make room for a new rig. Never repaired, it always worked as is (sorry for ignoring your instructions, BT). Consistently hashing ~19.5Gh. Maybe the reason it just worked is that I use a good power supply (a Delta from an old Compaq, I can give the exact specs if needed) and a good USB host (Zotac nano VD01 with USB chipset from VIA). It runs at stock and just needs an occasional reboot after cgminer crashes, most likely due to my ISP issues. I'm located in California.

If interested, please PM me your offer!

i read somewhere in the repair forums where the step process to replaced the voltage regulator that adding a capacitor smooths out some low voltage noise. i wonder if this "noise" is what's causing these instabilities

My 1 board will run at best at 17GH/S. If I am lucky and the stars align.

Same here for one of my boards. If I reboot the PC and start cgminer once, this board runs at only 15.4GH/s @ int:53:2:850, but will run 100% stable for weeks at a time. If I restart cgminer something like 15 minutes after PC startup, it will run at 17GH/s (with the same settings), but only last 2 days 6 hours before spitting out LIBUSB errors. My other three boards each run at about 20.4GH/s at 54:2:850, also 100% stable for weeks on end.

I've also updated to cgminer 4.0.1 -- been running smoothly for 12 hours so far, though it didn't fix my stability issues at 950mV like I was hoping it might. So far I'm getting the same performance as I was getting with cgminer_drillbit 3.8.4 r2. You guys with stability issues with linux/rpi etc. might find it more useful, but with my Windows/x86 PC, there's hardly any difference.

Before the repairs, hardware errors were almost non-existent on my boards.  My best guess is that the chip or power quality suffered when the boards burned up.  My worst error rate board before repairs was under 1% at about 22 gigahashes.  Now my best board is over 5% at less than 19 gigahashes.  My worst board averages 15 to 20% hardware errors at less than 18 gigahashes.  I haven't noticed any change in error rates with temps below 34C.  I get jealous that other people's boards will still run faster than default after being repaired. I just get asic time out errors now.  heh..

did a few test and anything with :950 produces asic timeouts
53:2:750   14.4Gh/s
53:2:850   20.25Gh/s HE 1.2%
52:2:850   20.3   HE 1.13%
53:2:750   13.44Gh/s
54:2:850   20.39Gh/s   HE3.9%
55:2:850   13.07Gh/s   HE35%
50:2:950   asic timeout
49:2:950   asic timeout

40:1:850   19.5Gh/s   1.5%   30°C
50:2:950   19.5Gh/s   1.5%   34°C
52:2:950   asic timeout
i also tried your best result
54:2:850   20.0Gh/s   4%   30°C

it would seem that my miner is hardwired to work best at 19.5Gh/s
At 53:2:950 I rarely get some asic timeout messages that eventually disappear.  It runs at about 22.5 GH/sec (reported temp 29-30C).  It has been running like this for long periods of time (cgminer 3.10 on Win7/64).

Cheers
yeah kabopar i used to run at 53:2:950 24Gh/s HE0.3% 32C ambient 35C , now it refuses to running on anything with :950
now best
53:2:850   19.94Gh/s   HE0.88% 24.2C abient27C   this one seems the best less Gh but also less HE

54:2:850   20.39Gh/s   HE4.4%  25.5C ambient27C

Switched from cgminer3.9 to 3.10 and managed to overclock to 52:2:950 with much less hardware errors and no asic timeouts. Now it averages at 21.5gh/s. Temp is about 36°C.
At 53:2:950 the hardware errors are way over 20%...
My HW error rate at 53:2:950 is less than 3%.  The reported temp is 28C now, getting to about 30C at times, with 3 fans blowing at this single board from 3 directions.  Maybe you need some better cooling.

Cheers

does anyone know the spec on the voltage regulator on the repaired boards?

Check the DIY repair post sticky on the Drillbit forum: http://drillbitsystem.com/forum/index.php?topic=220.0
